I was told so many times that just thinking something bad made you just as bad as someone who did it, and Ngl this made me cry a little bit

Teaching children thinking bad thoughts about someone is the same thing as murdering that person is fucked up. 

Thought crime doesn’t exist. No one has ever been harmed or killed by someone thinking negative thoughts about them. 

You know what has harmed people though? Teaching them they are evil for things they can’t control. Especially those who have intrusive thoughts. 

Here’s for everyone who has been taught their thoughts make them evil.

Intrusive thoughts are not your secret desires. 

They are involuntary. 

You don’t need to be ashamed of them. 

They will pass.

You are not committing taboo. 

No one can read your mind.

No one will ever know what’s in your thoughts unless you feel like telling them.

No one can judge you for what you are thinking, whether voluntarily or involuntarily.

Your thoughts are private

You are not a bad person.

My favorite is character turns into a ghost, but I also love fics where a character turns into something not human and has to deal with the pain of never truly being able to be themself again

luz noceda- too weird for reality, too weird for the fantasy world. who else can say they were literally sent to 'how to be normal' summer camp for taxidermy-ing two animal corpses together? and let's not forget her dedicating herself to being a witch even after finding out that they were in fact a separate species of people. with a neverending supply of determination, can she reach the title of #1 weirdgirl? we believe in you, luz!

we all know lilo pelekai. she's the iconic little autistic girl of our childhoods- studying voodoo to punish her 'friends', not understanding many social conventions, and theorizing that her sister's manager is secretly a vampire. as the winner of the semifinals, can she overcome the two biggest powerhouses of our competition? we're all wishing you the best, lilo!

tome kurata is the favorite to win- she's had the biggest following in our competition thus far. she dedicated her life to meeting aliens despite not knowing they existed, and it seems she may have [squints at resume] decided to accomplish this by meeting a psychic despite ALSO not being sure that they existed? good for her! and very weird. truly a worthy finalist in the showdown- good luck, tome!
