How To Grow Your Natural Nails Long:

How To Grow your Natural Nails Long:
* Even after damage from acrylics and gel polish
Take daily vitamins: helps your nails get stronger
Keep a nail filer on hand at all times: you can file your nails when you have a crack to prevent the nail from breaking
Wash nail polish remover from nails: the alcohol causes dry nails. This is one of the most important tips.
Let oil soak into your nails before applying nail polish: let the oil dry up on your nail bed and after 1-2 hours you can apply some polish. Oil is essential for nail growth, I use coconut oil.
Moisturize your cuticles with oil constantly: this prevents dry nails
Use gloves when washing dishes: long and constant exposure to water drys your nails out
Find your favorite nail polish brand: I love the sally handsen gel brand (I was afraid to go natural with my nails because I didn’t want constant chipping but this brand changed my life)
Say goodbye to acrylics and UV light gel polish: both are very damaging to your nail beds and can cause your nails to be brittle and weak
Be patient: if you follow these tips, your nails will grow very long so just be patient and wait for the results (took me about 3-4 months)

Be Good to Me
You special […] I wish you could see what I see…
Another short mix of warm tracks, you can listen to more of my stuff here

Invest in candles or wall plug-ins! I have noticed that whatever your house or room (wherever you spend the majority of your time) smells like, that scent is what will cling to your skin, hair, clothes, etc. My mom loved the sweet pea wall plug-in when I was in middle school, and because I lived in my bedroom, the scent stuck to my skin, hair, bedding, etc so whenever I left the house, I smelled like sweet pea without any extra lotions or perfumes. This also applies to humidifiers.
Invest in higher end perfumes that will last all day. Cheap perfumes tend to require more usage in order for you to smell it, and even then, they hardly last all day.
If you can’t afford a pricier perfume, a nice alternative that I have used are essential oils. I personally enjoy vanilla because it’s a very classic scent, but just dab a bit on your wrists and neck and/or collarbone. It’s not overwhelming but instead is very light and warm. I’ve gotten a lot of compliments from Uber drivers and even people all the way on the other side of the counter since I’ve started using essential oils. They definitely last all day.
If you wear a bonnet to bed, I have taken a small spray bottle, filled it with water, and put maybe 2-3 drops of my favorite essential oil in there. I spray once (or twice) inside of my bonnet and whether I’m wearing a wig or my own hair, the scent clings and you’ll wake up in the morning with nice smelling hair.
That last tip also applies if you’re the type to dampen your hair before braiding it or adding rollers to get the kind of waves or curls that you want. Dampen with a spray bottle that has a few drops of a nice smelling essential oil so not only will your curls look great, but they’ll smell great too.
I saved these for last because these tips should go without saying, but obviously you need to shower regularly. If you’re unsure about what kind of body wash to use, when in doubt, go with dove for sensitive skin just to be on the safe side. After I’m done showering, I moisturize my body with a nice smelling body oil. Use detergent when washing your clothes and nice smelling dryer sheets when drying them. Use deodorant. Again, if you’re unsure, go with dove.

Wash your bedding regularly. Once a week if you can. Regularly take your trash out. Again, whatever your space smells like, that is what will cling to you. Air your room and house out sometimes. Occasionally open a window.
Keep wipes on you for when you need to freshen up during long days or nights. If you have a tiny perfume, one of those rollers, keep it on you just in case. Lotion in your purse is also a must 💕
