Only One

It's unbelievable how quickly someone's mood, mentality, and expression can change so quickly with one single image.

Sometimes a smell can take you somewhere you haven't been in so long, and a sound can make you remember things you didn't know was still inside your mind.

For San, it was the sight of a face he hadn't seen for years that made him freeze and uncoil all the tension he hadn't realized was coiled up in his shoulders.

He had forgotten how infuriated he was literally seconds ago with the information he got from a call. How annoyed he was that he had to get the suit he was wearing tailored because it didn't fit him well. How ansty he was because of his deal that would keep opening up no matter how many times he tried to seal it in.

For a moment, he was utterly speechless that in the ground floor of his 50 floored building, in the café, working at the counter, smiling with sunshine against a face he had only dreamed about, was you.

And for the first time in nine years, San was back in high school, feeling like a fish out of water.

It all started when you came running into the vacant classroom he had been doing homework in. He was pretty shocked by the sudden ruckus and watched as you frantically ran to the side of the room, behind a bookshelf, beside a sliding window. It's not that you weren't allowed in the room, it's just that normally, no one hung around this room in particular during this time. He watched as you cradled what appeared to be a orange cat and gave him a look. You were clearly distressed as you placed a finger over your lips.

San was too stunned to do anything but look at you.

He began to understand why you appeared this way when suddenly a teacher holding a stick and stern face walked into the room. He knew him; he was his PE teacher.

"Ah, Choi San," he says, knit brows not relaxing at all, "did a girl run in here holding a cat?" He proceed to angrily spit out what was clearly your name and says, "I caught her feeding this feral cat. I had her put it in a cage so I could take it to the pound, but the next thing I knew, the cat was gone. I saw her walking away so I called out to her."

San tilted his face and scratched his hair, as to give you a sneaky look. You shook your head at him, begging for his silence.

His teacher continued, "The next thing I knew was I was walking over to her, she started running, and then I started running."

San turned back to his teacher and saw how disrespected he looked. He was infamous for making his students run laps around the field if they did something he didn't approve off. San even heard sometimes he used his stick against them.

So, San began to motion that you open the window and run out. He had done it in a way that looked like he was stretching though. He was relieved you caught on.

"I'm not sure, sir," San replied, mid stretching, "I don't know who she is."

This wasn't a lie.

You were able to open the window at this point.

His PE teacher looked extremely suspicious. He crossed his arms and gave San a look, "really?" He said that in a manner that was completely unconvinced. "I saw her run into this room."

San begins to get nervous, but he couldn't back out now, lest he be running the laps with you. He shakes his head as he prays you manage to jump out the window quick enough and run away. It wasn't like you were on the second floor or anything. In fact you were near the school entrance and could quickly make a run for it.

San gives a dumb look, which might have actually been too dumb, now that he thinks of it, then plays it off by acting scared, "sir, I think you might have seen a ghost or something."

You had one foot out of the window at this point. San's heart was beating against his chest. His PE teacher looked absolutely livid, "no, you brat, I'm sure I saw her come in here!"

San suddenly got the inkling he might go around the room and search for you, so the next thing he does is shoot up his seat and raise his hand, "I really didn't see anyone. If you want, I can help you look around."

His teacher glares at him.

San makes a move near you, just so he can pretend he's going to look under the teacher's table. He then moves past you and goes to the classroom's cabinet where all the cleaning supplies were stored. He quickly opens it and closes it, turning around, seeing that you were nearly out of the room.

He gives a look around and shrugs, "Maybe she went in the other room, sir."

Literally the moment his teacher decides to walk forward was the moment you managed to get out and run away.

"What was that sound?" his teacher demands.

San shakes his head and moved towards his teacher who was looking out the open window, "there are some people playing outside."

"Was this window open the whole time?" his teacher turns to San.

He nods, "I opened it."

"Why?"

"... I... farted."

His teacher freezes then sighs, "well, you should have closed it after a few minutes."

He nods his head, "yes, sir, sorry."

It was that moment, San became your person without him knowing it, because the next time he would see the cat thief, it was literally the next day.

San had been running away himself, but not from a teacher, but from Jung Yunho that always made him his personal ATM, activated by uppercuts.

"I can run faster than you, Choi," Yunho pointed, pissed that San kept backing away from him, as not to get another black eye and scraped shins.

San hands were gripping on his backpack for dear life as he walked away, scared for his life, "Yunho, please, I swear I don't have money."

Yunho chuckles dryly, "what kind of parents don't send their kids money?"

"They forgot," San lies.

Yunho doesn't believe him, but still he clicks his tongue, "how sad. Your parents left you and worked abroad because they don't love you."

San makes the mistake and topples when he unknowingly steps on a rock he didn't know was behind his feet. He doesn't fall over, but it was the perfect moment for Yunho to charge towards him.

It was in his fear that he finally does fall, as San tries to run back and away from his oppressor.

But in a twist of fate, Yunho gets thrown down by a backpack to is face. Someone then comes running towards them in a fit of rage, "WHAT THE HELL IS YOUR PROBLEM, YUNHO?"

Yunho, who was defeated by a bag full of books, angrily looks back at the one who threw it.

You were honestly much scarier looking than Yunho right now.

"What the hell is your problem?" Yunho fights back, quickly standing up.

San's heart was beating in his chest. You two seemed to know each other, and yet you didn't seem scared of him, which was absolutely mortifying. You could easily get beat by Yunho. You weren't nearly as tall as him, and yet you looked unafraid, "you're messing with my friend, that's my problem?"

Yunho laughs, "this thing?" He turns to San, who still hadn't gotten off the ground and makes a disgusted look, "the skinny pimply face, glasses, and braces kids with no parents?"

"Shut up!" you scream, pointing a finger at him.

Yunho swats it away, enraged.

"What?" you challenge, "are you going to beat me up too? Go ahead, so I have evidence to show the principal and get you expelled so bad no school will ever accept you."

Yunho bursts out into a fit of loud curses that terrifies San and makes you jolt, though you hide it.

Yunho turns to San and spits near him, "stay the fuck out of my sight or I'll kill you next time."

With that, Yunho walks away and you're running towards him.

You look at him with genuine concern and help him up, "are you okay?"

San is unable to reply.

You give him a pitiful expression and run to pick up your bag. You open it on your way back towards him and curse under your breath. You give him a sorry look as you pull out a box that had icing spilling out of the sides, "I'm so sorry. This was supposed to be for you."

San is frozen still.

You release a breath then look at him once over. You shoot out a hand that then pats him down, brushing away the sand that got on him. He winces at this, not expecting it, as you also unknowingly hit some old bruises.

You profusely apologize, "sorry, sorry." You drop your bag, looking at the smushed thing in your hand, "I had gotten you a chocolate cake for not ratting me out yesterday. I looked for you the entire day, but no one seemed to know which class you were in."

He doesn't reply.

You begin to think he can't talk, and would have believed it had you forgotten how well he talked for you yesterday.

"It's okay," San says softly.

He begins to feel extremely conscious by how intently you were looking at him.

"... I don't eat sweets... they're bad for my skin."

"That's not true! Sweets don't--" but you cut yourself off, "well, I mean... I guess if you don't like sweets then I should just get you something else."

San finally looks at you properly for the first time as you introduce yourself to him.

He thinks of this very moment as you greet him and ask him what his order was. San was no longer skinny, or pimply, or wearing glasses, or braces like in that moment, and yet he felt like the same kid on that day, finding it hard to think of words to say.

San was blown away by how it seemed you had gotten even prettier throughout the years, though you had gained some weight, had different hair, and clearly looked more mature.

He looks at your nametag, seeing the neatly printed letters that clearly identify that you are, in fact, you. And yet he wonders if you are a ghost, like how he had lied about all those years ago.

San says your name, half expecting you not to answer or for someone to ask him why he was saying that name when there was no one around.

But then you smile at him and his breath hitches.

"Yes, that's my name," you confirm.

San is dumbfounded, and left feeling as though someone shoved a sock in his mouth.

You look at him inquisitively, flashing another smile. As if reading one of his thoughts that were running through his mind, you tell him, "I just started working here this week."

He felt like dropping dead on the spot because of your smile. Your face felt like home.

San was absolutely winded. His entire body was tingling, and yet he couldn't do anything but stare.

You awkwardly stared back, unsure of what to do.

After a moment too long, you decided to speak up, "would you like to try out our special drink of the week?"

San acts as though he doesn't hear that and uncharacteristically ask, "how have you been?"

You furrow your brows at this, "pardon?"

San begins to panic. Did he ask anything wrong?

He opens his mouth and says softer, "how... have you been?"

You tilt your head, trying to distinguish his question, "how has my day been?" You nod, "pretty good. Thank you for asking, sir."

Sir... why would you... well, you were working at the moment.

"You don't have to call me sir," San says.

You look at him, as if he had asked the impossible, then you break into a chuckle, "I don't think that would be very appropriate." You divert the conversation, "so, would that be the special? Or something else?"

"Yes."

"... yes, what? To the special?"

"Yes."

You give a quick nod then punch in the order, "alright, so our special is a chocolate hazelnut frappe. Does that sound good to you?"

San nods, eyes never leaving you.

You let out a breath and clear your throat. You turn back to him and smile, "That would be-"

"What time-"

The two of you speak at once. San is utterly embarrassed and raises his hand towards you, so that you can continue.

You repeat, "That would be 4,100 won, sir."

San hands you his card and asks as you take it, "what time do you get off work?"

You look at him then turn back to your task at hand, "We close at 8pm, sir."

"I know that," he nods, "but when do you get off work?"

"With all due respect, I don't feel comfortable disclosing that with you, sir."

In that moment, San feels his entire world crumble. He comes to realize a plethora of things, that you didn't feel comfortable with him, that you saw him only as a customer, and what stung the most, you had absolutely no idea as to whom he was.

San lets out a muted sound, as though he as sucker punched.

You turn back to him and hand him his card.

He was in his office at this point, as he stirred the frappe that tasted horrendous to him when he recalled his café encounter, over and over and over again.

He then found himself thinking about the time Yunho caught him on his way back home and beat him with cruel words, making him grow paranoid that the only reason you were his friend was because you felt sorry for him.

He had exploded on you in the middle of a perfectly mundane conversation you had, demanding answers as to why you wanted to be around him in the first place.

San spun around his office chair as he recalled the guilty expression you held. He felt absolutely pathetic up until you spoke and said, "I don't have any friends."

San couldn't believe those words came out of your mouth when you were regularly the center of attention everywhere you went, with him witnessing a crowd flock around you whenever he'd walk up to your class.

"All my friends are my brother's. My brother is my real best friend. But since he, and his friends all graduated, miraculously," you chuckled, "I'm left with no one."

Again, San couldn't understand why that was your truth when you were the epitome of popular. There was absolutely no flaw in your being. You were bright, smart, kind, and beautiful. How could you have no friends?

You explained it was because most of the kids in your grade liked to party, and you weren't fond of that. "I tried," you explained but then scrunched up your nose in distaste, "but I just don't like it."

San began to fall into a pit of you memories and it made his heart clench and his head heavy.

He replayed the very moment that changed his life and quite literally motivated him to be the same man he was in his office chair, in his office, in his building, in his company.

It had been raining all day that day, which was why you had stayed longer than normal in school. It was just you and him at the library. You were both sitting by the corners of a table.

You were finishing some homework and found yourself talking about your dreams in the future. You asked him what he wanted to do, and he told you the wishful answer he had, that made him fade into embarrassment.

You gave him a pout and shook your head, "that's not stupid at all."

San knit his brows deeply, turning away and shaking his head, "you're just saying that."

"No, I'm not. In fact I actually believe you will become a successful entrepreneur when you're older."

San was so confused by the false confidence you held in him. His heart quickens when you place a hand on his shoulder, "you're incredibly creative, smart, and hard working. I'm convinced you could be the president, if you wanted to be."

He lets out a laugh, "no one would vote for someone with a face like this."

"I would," you say surely.

San looks at you in this moment. He remembers the way you smiled so vividly. The words you spoke changed his life, "you have the face of a king."

"... do you really believe that?"

"I do."

San sighs as this moment runs like a vintage motion picture in his mind.

He then began to recall how you two at the very last day of high school had promised to see each other again after ten years. He promised you by then, he would be a successful CEO and you would be proud.

You said you would be proud of him either way.

He thought of this day all the time, twice as more whenever he felt like giving up and succumbing to what was consuming him at that moment. But whenever he thought of you, he shook his head and convinced himself he had to do better, because he wanted to have something to show for after 10 years.

He chuckles bitterly to himself, thinking how ironic it was.

He was indeed successful, and yet you didn't even recognize him. It suddenly felt like it was all for nothing. He felt like disappearing into the wind.

He was extremely disheartened as he drove home that night.

San internally agreed, why would you remember him? He was nothing special in your eyes anyway. You never got to notice how he thoughtfully planned what he wanted he gave you on your birthdays, on each Christmas or Valentines, on the year end parties, nor your graduation. You never thought twice of how he looked and acted around you, even if, in his head, he had been so loud about his feelings.

Why would you when you had your heart set on Park Seonghwa, who was a year older and was the star of the football team in the school not to far from the school you two were going to.

San knew the reason why you liked eating at the ramen shop across the neighborhood was because the neighborhood crush, Seonghwa, worked there part time.

And yet every time you asked him to go there, he would suck it up and agree, since, at least, you wanted his company.

He always thought you'd end up together, especially since you had asked him to go to the school dance with you and he had agreed. This was all he thought about as he drove.

San begins to imagine the dates you might have taken when you were in college.

With his hands on the steering wheel, he begins to paint the hypothetical love life you would have had. He thinks of Seonghwa being the one you would tell your day about, have ice cream dates, buy scarves with, buy snacks with...

San grips the wheel until his knuckles whiten.

He feels utterly defeated.

But then he finds your walking figure on the side walk. He slams on the breaks, causing a loud screeching sound to pierce the ears of everyone in the vicinity. It was extremely dangerous. He was lucky that no one was driving behind him.

You whip your head over to him San's car, not knowing it was him, clearly, then turn back, walking faster.

San pulls up to you and lowers his window. By the time he calls your name and asks if you want a ride home, he realize how absolutely creepy that must have sounded in your ears, especially since you feigned no recognition of him.

His heart feels like it was crushed when you offered a smile at him and declined him.

He couldn't sleep properly that night for multiple reasons.

For the next couple days, San went to the café and ordered whatever was the recommended drink for that week.

Each day, he tried making small talk with you, more and more up until he found it in himself to explain to you that he was that nerd, Choi San, who's high school life, which sequentially became his whole life, you changed for the better.

But everyday that he saw you, it didn't feel it was any easier to speak. He would just find himself tongue tied and light headed. It was so mind blowing to him how strong the butterfly sensation in his stomach was every time he saw you.

He would stand in front of the counter, you would greet him, ask his order, he'd smile back and manage to at least ask how your day is, then that would be it.

"Mr. Choi?" a voice snapped him out of his trance.

San turned to his secretary, Wooyoung. He cleared his throat and nodded, "what did you say?"

Wooyoung sighs and adjusts his glasses, "sir, I'm concerned about you."

San looks at him and clenches his jaw, "why?"

Wooyoung shakes his head, "you like the girl that works in the café, don't you?"

San straightens himself up and clears his throat for the second time.

"Why don't you just ask her out?" he asks.

San wants to scream, tell him it's not that easy.

"I honestly have never seen you like this before, sir," Wooyoung admits, "it's honestly kind of scary."

San shakes his head, "never mind that. Let's get back to work."

He, in fact, could not get back to work. Not in any way that mattered in his head anyway.

So he decided, though he already saw you that morning when he ordered a Choco Mocha Drizzle with Caramel, which he had only given to Wooyoung, since he thought it tasted too weird, he would go to you right now and finally tell you, without thinking, just spill absolutely everything that had been bothering him, and get it over with.

So, he finished his meeting, told Wooyoung, whose sigh he had missed, he was going to go home early, then headed for the café downstairs.

The thing was, when he went into the café, you weren't there anymore. San found through another female employee that was eager to converse with him that there was a new schedule rotation.

You could imagine his surprise when he went to a restaurant and saw you there.

It was too much of a coincidence for him to think that it wasn't fate.

And for the first time in what feels like forever, San gathers his sense and walks up to you.

"Excuse me," San speaks, calling your attention.

You were mid-eating when you turn to him. Your eyes widen at the sight of him.

San begins to panic. He raises his hands, shaking them, "I know this is so weird, but I promise on my life that I'm not following you. I really just like the food here."

You look at him and swallow the food in your mouth.

"The truth is," he says, releasing a breath, "I'm Choi San. The guy you used to be friends with in high school? I know you don't remember me but I promise I'm not crazy and I can show you proof that you and I used to be f--"

You jolt out of your chair and cover you mouth, eyes blown wide, "Sannie?"

San is bewildered by the nickname, because he never thought he'd ever be called that name by you ever again.

"Is that really you?" you exclaim in disbelief.

"Yeah- I, you probably don't remember," San opens his mouth and begins to stutter, "I mean you- you haven't recognized me after all this time." He fumbles then digs into his pocket to pull his wallet out, "But I have- I have proof, I-I-- still have the picture we took on our field trip to the farm- with the cows- and the poop- and-"

He drops his wallet because you suddenly pull him into a hug.

It was truly a 180. And yet again, he was too stunned to anything.

The next thing he knows, you're sharing a table with him, explaining how absolutely creeped out you were by him, but then there was something about him that reminded you about something.

San is utterly embarrassed and profusely apologizes for his behavior, explaining how he was simply so astonished to see you and so nervous since he hadn't spoken to you in years.

"You look so good, San," you compliment.

San disagrees, "my skin just cleared and I gained some weight, is all."

"No, no," you raise your hands, "you carry yourself so differently now. You're so confident and cool. That's why I couldn't recognize you." You break into a smile, "you grew so much as a person. I'm so proud of you."

His heart swells and skips a beat.

"I knew there was something about you," you say, "but then you started acting a little creepy and it was kind of hard to see past that."

"I-I- sorry."

"No," you break into a laugh, "it makes sense now."

San shakes his head, "you're as kind as ever."

"Nah," you chuckle, "I can be pretty mean."

San steals a glance at you, finding it hard to keep eye contact, "No, you- you're just as amazing as you were before, in fact, prettier."

San doesn't have the time to notice the blush on your face because he continues, "And I may look different, but I still feel like I'm a kid in high school when I'm around you."

You chuckle, "well, I had been thinking about how I would meet this high school kid next year when I had absolutely no means of contact with him."

San's eyes brighten, "wait, you remember that?"

"The promise we made each other?" you asked, "how could I forget? I had been anticipating your success long before even you had."

"I-"

"But then of course, I kind of feel weird that you're seeing me as a waitress."

San immediately shakes his head, "no, never ever feel bad around me."

You chuckle as he continues, "you're literally the reason why I got to this point, so please."

You chuckle and roll you eyes, sarcastically agreeing.

The next thing he knows, he's caught you up with everything he's done and feels like he could fly with the gleam you had in your eye while he said it.

"Are you married?" you ask, nonchalant, but it nearly makes him choke.

You offer him water as he coughs. San downs a few sips then shakes his head, "absolutely not."

You raise a brow, "why not? You're literally every woman's wet dream."

San is flabbergasted. He releases a nervous chuckle and pulls on his collar. You are thoroughly amused by his reaction, "I'm joking, Sannie."

As much as he liked being called that name by you, he still is unable to compose himself. It's because of this, he suddenly blurts, "what about you?"

You hum, questioningly.

San finds himself asking you what had been bothering him for a while, "did you and Seonghwa ever end up together?"

You turn to him and chuckle, "was that such an obvious thing to happen?"

San looks at you, in denial of what that meant.

You smile, "yeah, he and I went out."

"Went out?"

You sigh and nod, "yes, as in, we're no longer together. Not for a while now."

San holds back a pleased expression.

He doesn't remain very pleased when he gets invited to your home and finds you had a very dramatic remnant of your past relationship: a daughter, that very clearly resembled her father.

San, yet again, was stunned.

You called to the tiny girl in a blue Frozen dress and she came running to her beloved mother the way small babies did. The baby sitter you hired for the day went on her way and walked passed the stunned San on her way out. You crouched down and pulled the little girl into your arms then gave her a kiss. With a smile on your face, you turned to San, back to your daughter, "Baby, this is mama's friend, uncle San. Would you like to say hello to him?"

Your daughter nods quickly then waddles to San, surprising him how quickly you reached to his legs. The girl wraps her arms around him and smiles, speaking the way that babies do, "hello!"

San opens his mouth, he feels like he's melting internally. San raises his hand, "hello baby girl."

The girl giggles then raises her hands up at him, opening and closing her hands. San turns to you for guidance, but you only shrug and mimic the giggle your daughter gave, "it looks like our darling wants to be carried."

San turns back to the expectant child.

He sucks in a breath then bends down, reaching out to the baby. For some reason, he expected the little lady to be much, much heavier than she actually is. But then again, he was holding literal life in his arms, and even if it wasn't heavy, it will always be a great weight.

From then on, San had you back in his life, and he had never been more pleased. As it turns out, you had finished journalism in college, but after working in a big company, you realized how toxic the environment was and how badly it was affecting your mental state, so you left. You decided to pursue something you had always wanted and attempted to start your own bakery.

The only thing was, you couldn't afford a place for a physical bakery at the moment, and only sold orders online.

On this particular day, San was helping you take care of daughter while you wrap up some orders. You were sprawled on the floor, fixing your orders on the coffee table in front of the couch San was sat on.

San turns to the tray of cookies as he bounces the baby on his lap, "hey, could I try one?"

You turn to him while you wrap a box with ribbon. You smile and nod, "yeah. Actually, I was supposed to box those up for you."

"Really?" San asks.

You nod again, "of course. You're helping me take care of my sweetheart. It's literally the least I could do."

San moves the girl off to his side and grabs a cookie, shoving it into his mouth fully, making you chuckle at him.

The flavours were amazing and it takes him by surprise.

"Wah!" San exclaims with a mouthful.

You smile back at him, "is it good?"

San stands from your couch, "good?! It's amazing. It's not overly sweet and it's soft yet chewy, I love it."

"Aw," you place a hand on your chest, "thank you."

You didn't get to wrap him a box of cookies, since there were no cookies left to wrap.

Once you were done with everything, you walked San to your door, with your daughter in your arms. You took your baby's hand and waved it at San, "bye uncle San."

San coos at the girl, now fully comfortable around her, "bye-bye, baby."

She giggles. You smile fondly at San's loving expression towards your child, "Thank you again for helping me, San."

"No problem," San says.

As he steps out of your apartment, he calls in the hallway, "I left my payment for the cookies you made me on your kitchen counter."

His words don't immediately register in your head, "wait what?"

"BYE BYE BABIES!" he calls, hurriedly going down the fire exit.

When you realize he left a payment for your cookies, you call out for him loudly and try to run after him, but it was too late, he was gone.

It was only natural you gave him a lot of lip when you met up with him the next time you could.

It only happened San kept running away from you and when you managed place the money into his coat pocket, he threw the money out and ran away yet again.

"YA!" you screamed, hurriedly running after him. This angered you greatly, since you didn't appreciate his newfound nonchalance for money, and the fact he was making you run after your shift. He knew well you had to pick up your daughter from daycare today, so the fact he was tiring you was absolutely unacceptable.

You scowled at him and barked, "Choi San, just because you're rich doesn't mean you can do this to money."

San, who as a few feet away from you, turns back and shakes his head, "I'm sorry, but I can't let you not let me pay for the cookies."

"But it was a gift, you idiot, for helping me."

San lets you walk up to him, "yeah and as much as I adore you for your kindness, I don't want to be one of the reasons you go bankrupt."

You scoff, raising a brow, "I'll have you know, Mr. CEO, that in a few years, I could well be richer than you."

San breaks into a wide smile and stomps his feet, "EXACTLY!" The action surprises you and causes you to clutch your chest. He then grabs your hand and excitedly tells you, "now keep that money in your pocket because I have something to show you."

And what he shows you is a cute little spot near your house that seemed to be under renovation. You had absolute no idea why he was showing you, but you don't mind, since he looks so proud of the place.

San, hand still in yours, pulls you in and smiles widely.

You get nervous though, "are you sure we're supposed to be in here?"

San purses his lips into a smile and nods, "don't worry." He lets go of your hand, only to go around and point at things and open doors, "what do you think of the place?"

You nod, gathering it may be a place he bought, since he was absolutely loaded, after all, "it's nice." You look around, "it could use some plants but then again, it's clearly not done anyway."

San stops and place his hands in his pockets, "then add as many plants as you want."

"What?"

He pulls out a key and dangles it up in front of you with a wide smile still plastered on his face, "because it's your new bake shop!"

"What?!" you ask, stomach dropping.

He grabs your hand and places the key in it. You try to break free from him, but he uses his strength against you.

"San, quit being ridiculous!"

San chuckles, "I'm not being ridiculous at all."

In your struggle, you wind up being trapped in his arms. You attempt to fight him back, but he made it clear he was so much stronger than you, which was honestly so pointless of him. You sigh and eventually you tire, finding yourself simply enjoying his embrace, although at the back of your head, you were so anxious by what he had just told you. You were about to explain to him how unreasonable what he was doing was, but the opportunity never came because of San's monologue.

"You have no idea how miniscule this act is compared to how much you helped me in high school," San starts.

"San-"

"No, please..." San mutters softly. "I truly, truly mean it when I say that had I not met you, I wouldn't have ever gotten to this point in my life. I would have never thought I was good at anything, and I certainly would have never taken risks and brought myself to have confidence in me."

"... that's not true."

San chuckles, "that's the only fact I have that I know for certain is true."

When you pull away, San feels his heart shatter at the sight of your misty eyes. His lips pull into a frown when tears run down your cheeks. He knits his brows, "hey, it's alright. Please, just let me do this for you, okay? I promise it'll all be okay."

He wipes your tears and whispers, "I'll take care of you now, the way you took care of me then."

Your breath hitches. You jump back into his arms and crush him against you, "thank you."

San nods his head, "thank you."

San never doubted a second that you would have a great start, but even he was astonished by the overwhelming amount of customers you had from the get-go.

You obviously quit your job and worked at your bakery full time. And though you had two other employees, you seriously began to think of hiring one more because of how good and busy your business was going.

San felt absolutely wonderful seeing you succeed.

It was like all the pieces were falling into place.

But then it came crashing down.

San couldn't believe what he was hearing you admit to him.

You had gotten your mother to take care of your daughter this night and surprised San to a dinner at the restaurant you had met each other by chance. One too many drinks were drunk, all on your end, and you suddenly admitted how-

"I so too had a crush on you, Choi San! Why did you think I always asked you to go to that ramen house?"

No, no, no... you liked going there because of Seonghwa! Not him...

"And then I wanted to ask you to the school dance, but you said it was stupid, so I tried asking if you would ever change your mind about it-"

No, no, no!

"But you kept going on about how much you hated the idea of the dance, I figured I would just be stupid if I still asked you if you wanted to go."

NO! He only said it was stupid because he didn't have the guts to ask you out and stayed adamant because of the stupid initial slip up he had!

You sigh, giving him a drunken smile, "I wonder what would have happened if I ended up with you instead of that Park Seonghwa."

San feels like an ass. You were definitely not alone on that boat.

You hiccup, "but then again, I wouldn't have my perfect baby girl if he hadn't gotten me pregnant."

San turned to his empty shot glass. A terrible, awful, horrendous thought popped up in his head. He thinks, had he not been so dismissive of your advances he blinded himself to, and was he not so stuck on idea you could have never liked him back, then maybe... maybe he could have been the little angel's father.

San feels like he could throw up. His throat tightens. His stomach growls at him in protest.

He thinks to himself: I definitely wouldn't have left them, that's for sure.

Part of him had hoped you would forget about your conversation that night, mostly, San thinks, was so that he could deny ever thinking of that awfully selfish and poisonous thought he thought that night.

But, alas, you remembered everything and even apologized if he was uncomfortable by the drunken admission.

He shook his head and told you he wasn't bothered by it at all.

So, not only had he lied, but he also still didn't tell you how he had felt.

It was after this moment, he realized, no matter how much he had changed since high school, people can never truly become different. Because there he was again unable to tell you his feelings, left regretting the things he did, the things he didn't do, and losing to Park Seonghwa.

Seonghwa poured him a cup of tea, a cup of tea he had made specifically for you, since you were on your period and he knew that helped you tremendously.

That alone was enough for San to forfeit.

The man, who was just as tall and good looking even after all these years, smiled at San, making him want to punch his teeth out, "so you're the best friend she never shut up about."

San couldn't even feel happy about that, as he could only imagine how you would have told him this while you rested your head on his lap, while he brushed your hair.

"Why didn't you and her keep in touch after graduating?" Seonghwa asks with seemingly no malice, yet it makes San want to jump him so bad. Seonghwa was on the floor, folding baby clothes, while you and San were on the couch drinking tea, though in addition, you had been breast feeding.

You are the one that answered, "I told you, he went to Seoul and I didn't know how where what address to send letters to. I thought of sending them to his grandmother's house, but knowing her, she would have delivered them directly to San, and I didn't want her to go back and forth for me."

San's jaw slacks at the sentiment, and even more regret washes over him.

Seonghwa turns to you, "what about email? Or phone?"

You shrug, "I didn't have any of his contacts."

Seonghwa turns back to San, "wow. You two really didn't think that through."

You reach and throw one of the shirts he as folding to your ex's face. Seonghwa chuckles and gives you a look, "what? It's true."

San feels like he could die.

After this moment, you finish feeding your daughter and Seonghwa finishes folding her clothes, even the one you hurtled towards him.

That man then goes up to you, specifically for his daughter, and takes her into his arms, peppering the precious thing with kisses.

Seonghwa begins to tell her how much he loves her as you turn to San and ask him if he was ready to head out to the cinema now.

"Didn't you say you were having cramps?"

You shake your head, "They've subsided now, and honestly weren't that bad. Seonghwa can just be dramatic."

The said man chimes in, "well sorry for caring."

You give him a look then stand and turn to San, "let's go?"

San has no other option but to comply.

It's crazy how even after all the time you had spent up until that point, San had no idea Seonghwa spent weekends at your house with your daughter. It made him realize that as much as he knew you, what he knew was not the present you.

It was also crazy how much he saw Seonghwa after that, when he went from not even knowing he was still a part of your life at all to being a looming shadow that was pushing him into insanity.

He got infuriated by the idea he only started showing up more frequently was because of San. When he released the paranoid, egotistical side of him though, he realized Seonghwa was consistent with his weekend schedules and only ever made an appearance if you asked him to.

But what hurt San the most was not that he thought he stood no chance against Seonghwa. No, he managed to convince himself fully to a point where he was sure if he pursued you, you would reciprocate the idiotically prolonged silent love he has harbored for you all these years.

Not even the idea of destroying the picturesque portrait of a family you, Seonghwa, and your child had was what stung. In his mind, he knew he could step up to the plate and be a good dad. He knew he was man enough to allow your daughter to have a relationship with her biological father, even if he came across to some ignorant onlookers as a homewrecker.

But that was exactly what stung. No matter how much he convinced himself, and how you and Seonghwa convinced each other, San could see that you two clearly still loved each other, which would in fact really make him a homewrecker

San looked left when you two shared a laugh to his right. He looked right when you two bickered to his left. Hell, he screwed his eyes and covered his ears, but it was clear as day.

You still loved him and he still loved you.

It was painful. It truly was. On some days, he just wanted to burst out with this obvious piece of vital information just to save himself the heart ache, but San was only human, and in his own form of retribution, he decided he would bite his tongue, waiting for you to either realize your feelings, or for him to finally have his chance.

But you know what, San hates himself for not being a little bit more selfish in the end. Cause damn, it hurts having to act like you didn't just witness someone you love kiss someone else.

San was cradling your daughter in his arms as he rocked her gently to sleep and thought it was a good idea to look at the window.

It wasn't.

You had walked Seonghwa out on this Saturday afternoon. In truth, his visits had gotten shorter and shorter, which had made San feel a strong surge of false hope.

It was hope in falseness, nevertheless.

Seonghwa grabbed your hand before you could walk away and go back inside. You turned back and knit your brows.

"I-" Seonghwa starts, but can't seem to continue. He calls your name, which makes electricity run down your spine. He restarts his thoughts and speaks, "I don't want to not be part of her life. I want to be there for every birthday, for every smile, for every tear... I-I want to be there."

You shake you head, turning to your feet and back to him, "No one's stopping you, Hwa."

Seonghwa finally lets you go and places his hands in his pants' pockets, "I know."

You think of going back inside, but for some reason, you stay put in your spot, somehow expectant that Seonghwa has something more to say.

He does, "do you like him?"

You turn to your feet, questioning, though you knew who he was referring to, "San?"

Seonghwa hums.

"I... I do..."

You turn back to Seonghwa and see his stoic expression. Your blood stills at his next question, "do... do you... like me?"

"I..." you trail of and catch your breath, ".... I do."

Seonghwa straightens, knowing you too well, knowing too well that you sometimes feign ignorance for the benefit of the doubt. He steps forward and boldly asks, "do you love me?"

You struggle with the lump in your throat.

Seonghwa takes another step and licks his lips, rephrasing his thoughts how he meant to ask it. That was where Seonghwa and San differed; where one would sometimes wait and overthink too much, the other would sometimes act without thinking at all. Neither of them would ever know this about the other though.

"Do you still love me?"

Your eyes begin to water, "Seonghwa."

His breath hitches as he weakly adds, "I do."

"..."

He lets out a shaky breath and wave his hands trying to gain momentum for what he had to say, "I quit my job."

You turn back at him and whisper in shock, "Seonghwa."

"I found a new job here, somewhere close with less hours. It's less pay too, but I figured we'd be alright since we'd be living under the same roof and your business is doing well."

"Seonghwa, you're insane."

He takes yet another step forward and takes in a breath, shaking his head, "that was the problem wasn't it? I was working too long, too far, too much. I wasn't being the man I promised you I'd be. That's why you left my ring and left me."

"It was more than that! We were still growing and were changing into different people. We wanted different things."

"Well I want none of that now!" he retorts, almost hysterically, "I don't want to be in a big firm or be one of the big shots with my sportscar and my penthouse, I just want you. I just want you, and my baby, and for my life to be part of yours."

You're both crying at this point.

And to be precise, this was the moment San got a glimpse of.

Seonghwa had taken all the steps he could and was now standing in front of you. You two had stared at each other for a solid five seconds before ultimately, Seonghwa had the spine to wipe of your tears away and cautiously lean in for a kiss.

He was successful. You kissed him back.

San shakily turned back and walked away from the window. He thought to himself: it was only kiss.

But in that moment, he was reminded, people never truly change.

And the same way he showed up to the dance after finally growing some sense and losing his pride, he knew in his bones he was too late. He found you and Seonghwa sharing a kiss by the pool during the dance after looking for you all over the place.

It was all over.

He lost.

Only this time, San had a tiny, tiny, tiny, tiny, tiny, unselfish part of him that rooted for you.

“i know how much it matters to you.”

watching him from afar, through your bedroom windows or from inside your parents’ car or during an event in your apartment complex where you stood far off mixed in the crowd. that was your limit. it was all okay till you liked him and just looked at him through veiled glances and secret giggling messes. but interacting with him, having to meet him every week, the said man actually initiating conversations with you from his side. this was not okay, this was not within your bubble of limit. and then falling for him as more than just a crush, this is way beyond your limits, it scares you. but you can’t stop now. you don’t want to.

life was so different just a month ago. or maybe it was just the start of a very big change. a change which you so badly needed but did not want. the reason? you’ll probably find it out after you’ve gotten used to your new normal. because that’s what usually happens, that’s what you’re so familiar with that it scares you when it doesn’t happen. like a planned trip you’re excited for getting canceled or crying to sleep on your special day, or getting an awfully dry response for something you thought you’d get praises for. that’s what you were used to, getting disappointment after experiencing a trifling taste of happiness. so used that even the hurt you felt, felt normal.

it was three in the afternoon, a monday of January: the month symbolic of beginnings and change, when it all started. when the door to change opened. when his door opened.

seated in one of the chairs in the corridor, you were waiting for your turn. you were supposed to get your braces of painful four years removed a while ago. but due to unknown reasons, reasons you weren’t told of by your mother, your assigned dentist had moved cities resulting in you changing your appointment to your oh so captivating neighbor you harboured a crush on, park jay; or jay park as it said on the residents plate on the black wall near the entrance of the apartment building.

building 4 - 13th floor, apartment 1309: dr.jay park. two doors away from yours.

all you had known was that he was new to the city, having overheard your parents talking about bumping into him on their way to work one of the days and how much of a polite man he was. and in all honesty the word ‘man’ just seemed to give you an univitingly repulsive feeling. you hadn’t even seen him yet you already hated him. but that was before you had seen him okay?

you clearly remember the beating of your heart the day you entered the elevator to find him inside, pressing on the 'door open’ button for you as you rushed in. panting while you took discrete peeks at his features from the corner of your eyes. and how it fastened even more when you saw him sign his name on the time in and out register at the front desk. the thought- so that’s him, crossing your mind as you took an obscure glimpse of him walking to his car. oddly enough, though you were getting late that day, for some reason you still stood in a corner to watch him drive away. and when the next morning you found yourself waiting a second longer in the elevator for him, you knew you were developing a certain liking for the ’man’; or to be more specific, a crush who would turn your life upside down.

: Royalty, Mafia & Strangers To Lovers AU; Angst & Fluff

Heeseung couldn’t tell the difference between heroes and villains. And the solemn thought scared him.

If the line between good and evil felt so blurry, how could he confide that he somehow hadn’t turned in the wrong corner of his life and started sympathizing with villains instead?

He was almost certain he had started to sympathize with villains instead. Being raised between the corrupted yet glittering cities of the Island and having to learn how to bury his heart’s desire to shudder every time even the slight breeze brushed through his skin just because he knew too much but had to reveal too less, certainly had taken something vital from the ideals he was supposed to carry as a human.

However, he couldn’t. Heeseung couldn’t concur with the idea of turning into a villain, at least, not after meeting her — not to her.

: Royalty, Mafia & Strangers To Lovers AU; Angst & Fluff

The rain came in torrents that night, drenching the streets of the farther south part of the kingdom at irregular periods and accenting the coldness of the early autumn with no compassion or tenderness. However, Heeseung knew it was just the principle of the place.

Nights always fell on a harsh note there, humming in greedy melodies through every bar and brothel, tripping on malice at every dead-end yet people unknowingly continued celebrating because it felt very much alive to be there.

A man stumbled on Heeseung at the entrance of the brothel, the alcohol effects flung through as he lubberly smiled at him. Heeseung didn’t say anything, much less smile back. He continued his path as if the moment was just a bothering inconvenience, and allowed the smell of waxed wood and cigarettes to engulf him as soon as he entered the place.

How would it feel like to be there by his own will? He wondered, observing people getting lost in their desires. How would it be to live at his own will?

Heeseung looked down at his hands. His family ring sparkled under the subtle candles’ light — just like any other piece of metal would. However, Heeseung knew its significance, as well as its weight. And both were things he wished he didn’t carry. To be born as the archduke of the South of Kingdom, was to be born as the leader of the underground of the royalty — the one raised to dirty his hands in the grime of the city and its corruption while the kings and his successors remained immaculate and untouched.

A woman sang on the stage, her melodically voice cleverly arranging everything to turn into a glossy temptation under the low light of the brothel. However, Heeseung could find the magnificence of it, not even the hints of it as he walked straight to the back doors.

Between a step and another, the loud room was left behind, allowing just the echoes of it to resonate through the long and even darker hallway. Heeseung had the place memorized by now, each door and corner — it had been weeks since he started investigating the owner of the brothel, sneaking through his mail and leaving. However, before he could once again do it, someone stopped him.

Heeseung had no idea how she had managed to prevent the sparkling of her dress from reflecting even the barest light, much less how she prevented her high heels from echoing through the muffed silence of the hallways. Still, it somehow amused him. She had surprised him and no one was capable of such a thing.

“You shouldn’t go there tonight.” She whispered.

“Go where?” He tried, a smirk forcedly playing on his lips.

“Daekho’s office. He is there tonight.”

Heeseung’s smirk faltered for a quick yet notable second as he moved his hands slightly over his waist, checking for the presence of the gun beneath the rich fabric of his leather coat, more as a habit than an actual prevention. He couldn’t find any immediate threat in her — she just seemed to know what she shouldn’t.

“Who are you?”

“Y/N.” She answered and Heeseung noticed how she took longer than necessary to pronounce each letter. As if she was trying to appreciate the sound of it — as if she didn’t have the opportunity to regularly say it. “I can help.”

“I am sure you can. But I am also sure you will want something in exchange?”

“Freedom.” She said and the word came out so strongly from her lips that the archduke could feel the desire beneath it skimming through his skin like a living thing. His gaze encountered hers and Heeseung noticed how she could be pretty, the prettiest woman he had ever encountered. However, she seemed to be broken somewhere, and he felt horrified that it could be something beyond repair.

Kidnapping was a lucrative business. Human trafficking was more common than it should be. Heeseung knew it, he had seen the gold of it and stopped ships from raising the anchor in the name of the crown, but he never once looked at the eyes who passed through it.

“I will gather all the information you need against him, but you will take me out of here,” She continued over his silence. “and will burn this place down.”

“Seems easy to me.” Heeseung said. However, differently from his intentions his declaration whistled caring rather than imposing throughout the harsh night air. “Should we take this conversation somewhere else?”

┈┈┈┈┈┈┈┈┈┈┈┈┈┈┈┈┈┈┈┈┈┈┈┈

Her room had a subtle yet familiar perfume of flowers. It superimposed almost laboriously the steady smell of waxed wood and cigarettes of the place. Regardless, Heeseung immediately recognized its effort, just like he did on all the nights he had sneaked through the dark hallways of the brothel. And the sudden realization left him astonished — Heeseung had never seen or heard Y/N, but he had always scented her.

“What did you used to do before being brought here?” Heeseung suddenly asked, sitting at one of the available seats at her center table and lifting the candle from it. He raffled the melted wax for a quick moment, the flame flickered at the sudden movement, quietly casting light on the royal ring adorning his index finger before he put it back to its place. Everything about him seemed to carry a calculated precision, yet Y/N wasn’t sure if he was testing her or if it was his nature to protect himself.

“Me?”

“Yes. You are just too silent.” He explained. “I couldn’t see you until you decided I should see you. I couldn’t hear your footsteps even when I tried to on our way here.”

“My parents were the owners of a small bakery in our city.”

“Bakery?” The archduke questioned, a hint of amusement escaping through his lips. “And what? Did you used to steal sweet bread from the kitchens?”

“Just plain chocolate.” Y/N admitted. She didn’t smile, Heeseung doubted she would or could. But her eyes sparkled a little lighter under the candle lights and so he allowed himself to at least believe.

“Just plain chocolate.” He echoed, allowing the hint of amusement to turn into a full thing as he laughed. “You are not from here, are you? From the south.”

“I was taken from the North Kingdom — if it can still be called a kingdom.”

“Was it when the rebels were taking control?”

“Yes.” She said, and the small sparkles she had in her eyes were completely dismissed. “It was easier to trust someone when you had no one. Any helping hand could be a helping hand.”

“We can’t blame those who just trusted. They are the filthy ones for using such a situation.” Heeseung declared. “I just think it’s a shame you are going to deal with the rebels again.”

“I beg your pardon?”

“The crown believes — actually, I have already confirmed it from the past letters, that the rebels are making a move towards the South Kingdom. Gathering those who are against our royalty for help.”

“I need you to take any possible information. I have been just checking the letters, but you can also hear and see what’s happening here.” He continued. “Is it ok for you?”

“Yes.”

“Great. I will come every other day to see what you got.” He said. “Don’t get caught.”

Heeseung stood up from his seat as if his last words were more than enough for a farewell. But, before he could step away, Y/N held his sleeve — twisting her fingers in the cold material of his coat for a quiet moment before she encountered his curious gaze. There was something dreamlike about him. Something almost lulled to believe in the possibility of the improbable and although she could sense on her skin how dangerous it could be, Y/N wanted to be lulled on to it too. She wanted to, once again, believe in the improbable.

“You haven’t told me your name.”

“It’s Lee Heeseung.”

“Heeseung,” She whispered. “Thank you.”

“For what?” It was a simple question. However, Y/N couldn’t reply — she couldn’t confide the real reason why she felt like thanking him. Maybe it was for trusting and allowing her to do something else with her life, maybe it was for the subtle kindness he had while speaking with her. She couldn’t come to know. However, when Heeseung nodded, she knew she didn’t need to, he somehow had understood her and she held this feeling so deeply inside of her chest that it felt like it had already become a part of her soul.

There was something about the first hours of the day that Heeseung used to take as an assurance. Mornings always seemed to come possessed with a subtle sense of healing. It didn’t matter how dirty the night had allowed the place to be, the ocean’s breeze somehow always survived, and as soon as the sun started to rise, it seemed to caressed through every street, every corner — stopped by every window until it was left only the briny yet tender scent behind to, at least for a few hours, guard the city.

The place used to feel safe under the sunlight and in between the harmonizing breezes — until someday it simply didn’t.

Someday Heeseung stopped exactly at this same point at the port, watching as the merchants slowly brought the street market to life. The sun was still warm, and the ocean’s breeze was still brushing the tip of his long coat. Yet, his mind was baffled on how his hands were so dirtied in blood that he couldn’t feel any of it. The quiet hours carried a subtle echo of the screaming night and Heeseung was almost sure he had become a villain — he accepted it. If he couldn’t find the difference between heroes and villains, he accepted to be the villain.

However, he was there again, watching as the merchants still carried their lives as if the city had never gotten that dirty, simply because they hoped. There’s a subtle sense of hope in them — there’s a subtle sense of hope in her and the fact that she had given it to him rose something inside of him. Heeseung didn’t want to be the villain.

By the end of the market, a tent caught the archduke’s attention. Its sweet smell of the just-baked bread only brought Y/N stronger to him and caused Heeseung to walk towards the tent, digging through the gold coins in his pocket as he spoke.

“Would you perhaps have plain chocolate? Just plain chocolate?”

The back part of the brothel had been booked for the whole night. But differently from what would be expected for the place, none of the rooms were occupied throughout the passing hours and none of them were allowed to. The doubled doors that gave access to the dark hallways remained closed and guarded. However, no one seemed to care for the oddness of the situation when the alcohol had been flowing so freely and the throw of coins were more fervently than ever — no one seemed to notice the cold wind sweeping in when, at the exact stroke of midnight, Heeseung arrived.

No one except for her.

For the past two nights, Y/N had been wondering if Heeseung’s beauty had been something just desperately created in her mind and intensified by the desire of her memories. But as she stepped closer to him, watching as the dime candle lights casted light over his features, she had noticed how it was exactly as she believed and maintained. Heeseung was made of impossibilities.

Y/N stretched for his sleeve. However, before she could ever reach the cold material of his coat, Heeseung turned around. His eyes filled in the same amusement as they had two nights previously.

“Have you heard me?”

“No. I have my way to find you now.” He smiled.

She stopped, waiting for an explanation. But instead of giving such, Heeseung paced closer. It was just a movement of reach, a measure for no one to hear the question that would come after, but suddenly he was too close, and her perfume attained so strongly on his lungs that it felt more intimate than it and for a few seconds Heeseung stayed still, unconsciously allowing his thoughts to slip away as he remained, once again, completely lost in the sense of her.

“Daeko is in a meeting.” Y/N said in the lowest tone she could.

“Meeting? With the rebels?” Heeseung whispered back, receiving just a nod from her. His posture changed almost immediately as he remembered where he was and why. “Did you get the letters?”

“Yes. But he closed the back part, we need to stay in the main room.”

“And act along to don’t be suspicious.”

Heeseung smirked as he sat down next to her, his hands casually running through his hair before resting on his tights as he waited for her next move in the just established scenario. His whole new posture fitted the place perfectly — it fitted him perfectly enough to not seem like acting. However, when Y/N came closer, sliding her fingertips through the front of his coat, she could feel the throbbing of his heart beneath her touch.

Heeseung was just a mirror of her — creating and performing scenarios across the wicked world in order to survive. She just didn’t know what his circumstances were and a minor part of her was afraid of knowing.

In her periphery, Y/N caught a glimpse of his hands moving towards her. However, before she could stop him — ask him to not touch her dirty body. His right hand met the small of her back, resting there briefly as his other one skimmed through her bare arm. The contact was barely an incident in the furor of the city, in the middle of the brothel and its carnality, yet it was enough to send and scatter shivers throughout her whole being.

Heeseung looked up at her, lining his gaze into hers and behaving like the room was empty — like there was nobody present in his line of sight aside from her.

“You don’t like being touched.” He noticed, immediately taking his hand off her and allowing the cold night air to fulfill his place. None of them said anything — Y/N didn’t say anything. She couldn’t think, couldn’t function, could hardly comprehend the feeling of tenderness growing inside of her.

It was true that she didn’t like being touched. But mostly because she couldn’t remember being touched so gently. Heeseung hadn’t dirtied her as any other man did throughout all the years she had been kept there but he quietly started to erase every other touch with his own.

“I am fine with you.” She whispered, so low that if Heeseung hadn’t felt her breath tickling through his skin, he would have thought her phrase was just part of his imagination.

“Are you sure?”

“I am.” Y/N confirmed, allowing the soft pressure of his fingertips to draw patterns on her skin once again. It took her a while to remember what she was supposed to do. Men have looked at her a thousand times, in different ways and emotions, yet none of them looked at her the way Heeseung had been doing. None of them made her feel real and Y/N wished she could hold every second of it like a material thing.

“You really only worked at your parent’s bakery?” He asked at the sudden feeling of his coat’s pocket getting heavier by the stolen mail. Her dress seemed too tight to hide all the letters and he couldn’t get — not even a glance of how she had been sliding it into his pocket.

“And only stealing plain chocolate.” Y/N reminded him, showing the just taken chocolate bar from his pocket and quickly earning an amused laugh from him.

“It was for you anyway.” He said, his laugh quietly whirling into an endearing smile. “You did well. Everything. You did well.”

Heeseung watched as she released her breath in relief. Her warmth trickled through his neck’s skin as a hint of a smile played on the corner of her lips. And for a livid moment, he felt the urge to roll his hands higher, allow it to brush through her exposed shoulder, and twist her locks between his fingers, wondering how it would feel.

“I should do my part now.” He said, rather.

“Heeseung,” Y/N called, her hands making a small pressure on his chest to keep him still. “Don’t get caught.”

“You are the only one who ever caught me, my saiai.”

With delay, Heeseung seemed to realize what had slipped through between his smile, letting it falter for a quiet second of what seemed to be regret, but he didn’t fume to take the word back — even if Heeseung could swallow it back into him and erase from her memory, he wouldn’t. The word seemed to attain so rightly to her that he acknowledged he would never do such a thing.

When Y/N was nine, her father had taken her to the marchland between the south and north. It was the first time she ever got so near to a foreign kingdom and, even though they hadn’t stepped into the south that morning, her father made her feel as if she already knew everything there was to know there.

He had told her about the cities that resonated the ocean breezes, the buildings that gleamed like jewels under the sunlight and reflected the stars throughout the night in a daze. He pulled her younger self into mere fantasies as they watched people coming and going. It was something common before the north was taken by the rebels, people used to live freely between the kingdoms. And, even though Y/N was so young by that time, she still could remember how those from the south used to whisper into their lovers’ skin as they parted ways.

My saiai, they said — my dearest.

When Y/N heard someone quietly approaching her throughout the half-illuminated hallway. She didn’t need to turn around to know who it was, much less to dodge her gaze from the snow, quietly and delicately falling at the other side of the large windows of the brothel. Heeseung had come and gone so many times throughout the past weeks that Y/N could recognize him merely by his footfall — the soft pitter-patter always stopping at a polite distance as he waited for her to do the next move.

“It is snowing.” Y/N whispered, causing a quiet chuckle to escape through his lips. Heeseung could still feel the bitterness of the weather at the tip of his fingers, at the wetness of his hair, yet he stepped closer to her, quietly watching as the snow decorated the city in a dreamy layer as well.

“It is indeed.” The archduke laughed, and it took every ounce of her to not follow the sound of it and search for his solacing gaze. Y/N almost wished for Heeseung to not come that night — to not give her the opportunity to dispearly lean on him as she had been doing. Yet, he was there and her forced steadiness brought as much attention as her causality would, and before she could prevent it, Heeseung’s eyes were hovering over her — searching for anything that could have brought her strange manners.

“Y/N.” Heeseung softly called. “Tell me what’s wrong.”

“Please, tell me what’s wrong so I may fix it.”

There’s a quiet moment of hesitation before Y/N stretched out her arms to him, allowing her chained-bruised wrists to be illuminated by the subtle candle lights. She could sense the quick inhale Heeseung had drawn into his lungs as he ended the polite distance between them and brushed the tip of his fingers through the damaged skin — acting as if with his bare hands he could somehow heal it.

Y/N wondered how he could prevent his mind from being revealed so well — how his hands could feel so firmly against her pulses when his breaths brushed through her skin so stuckly. How his eyes seemed so focused when he for the very first time had acted without thinking — after that night in the main room, Heeseung had never approached her without first receiving her permission.

“Daekho accepts any money, it doesn’t matter how dirty it is.”

“Who did it?”

“It’s ok.”

“It is not.” He whispered back. “Tell me his name.”

Y/N confessed it so low that for a blissful second she believed the sound of it had gotten lost in the middle of their heartbeats — their stuck breaths. Yet, Heeseung nodded, brushing his fingertips through every inch of her damaged skin one last time before he walked away.

Heeseung always envied those who knew how to control and sculpt their anger, mostly because he couldn’t. He knew the name Y/N had murmured. He had read it so many times through the stolen mail that when she spoke the words to life, his mind worked in a daze. Heeseung couldn’t feel anything — think about anything, not even when he was back at the brothel, hours past midnight and with his hands dirty in blood.

The place still had the smell of waxed wood and cigarettes. But just like that morning on the port, nothing seemed to come through completely. Everything seemed so subtle that even when Y/N’s perfume came to his senses, he couldn’t help but wonder if it was just his desperate mind searching for something to hold on in the middle of his numbness. However, he felt her arms around his neck and her warmth against him was enough to pull the world back to its axes.

“Heeseung.” She called. There was no reprehension in her tone, it brushed through his skin just like the spring breeze brushes the blooming flowers each morning to carry away the coldness of the night and allow them to survive.

He looked down at his hands, the sight of his still stained skin detaining the phantom twinge to reach for her — twitch over her direction and embrace her impossible closer.

“I am sorry.” Heeseung whispered. I am sorry for killing him, I am sorry for being a villain in the end.

However, instead of replying, Y/N had drawn back — her warmth giving space to the bitter weather against his skin as she studied him for a quiet second before allowing her fingertips to caress his cheek.

“Let’s go somewhere else first and clean you.”

┈┈┈┈┈┈┈┈┈┈┈┈┈┈┈┈┈┈┈┈┈┈┈┈

The balcony at Y/N’s room was barely large enough to fit them both. Yet, none of them seemed to want to leave the place. Not even when the snowflakes came to, once again, decorate the skies and the city below in the closest it could be from tenderness.

When Y/N was younger, her father had told her about the magical city of the South Kingdom. Where the buildings shone like diamonds under the sunlight and the streets always carried the briny scent of the oceans. However, when she was brought here, she marveled, where was the sculpted daydream he always talked about. Nights always fell on a harsh note there, humming in greedy melodies and forgetting about the shine of the stars to look for the gold reflections instead. If it ever once was magical, it felt like it was abandoned long ago.

“How much for your thoughts?” Heeseung asked, suddenly breaking the silence between them and caughting Y/N’s attention in time to watch him removing his coat before placing it on her shoulders. He seemed unbothered by the cold, allowing the snowflakes to deposit small kisses on the opened shirt at his neck as he looked back to the city below. “I would say it like the Americans, but I do not carry pennies. Perhaps larger coins, but no pennies.”

“My current thoughts aren’t worth that.” She admitted. “I was just thinking how this city is described prettier than it actually is.”

“I always thought the same thing.” He whispered, leaving the silence to take place once again.

“I do not have pennies, nor large coins. But would you tell me what’s bothering you?”

“Have you ever stopped to think if we are bad or good?”

“What do you mean?” Y/N asked.

“Looking at everything I have ever done. What I did today… When I was younger I believed I did the right thing, I worked for the crown, ending anything that’s bad for the Kingdom, but are the methods correct? I have just been thinking, am I the hero or the villain?”

“As humans, we tend to always try to understand things. We put too much effort into things that we don’t need to.” She said. “Where are we from, where are we going to? Are we the good or the bad? Why do things happen to us?”

Y/N paused. And Heeseung got the deeper meaning beneath her words.

“Are stars just balls of gasses or do they hold a meaning?”

“Definitely just balls of gasses.”

“I think they do hold a meaning,” She said. “I think there’s no actual right answer in this world. You can be a villain to someone, but a hero to others.”

“What do I look like to you?”

“To me?” Y/N echoed, her gaze lingered at his face a little too long to be incidental before wandering through the restless city beneath them. By now every street was already covered by a thin layer of snow, and the air — already too freezing to inhale, felt severe with her silence.

Heeseung shouldn’t have asked, he came to think as he watched her. He surely had been ripened into the evil side as soon as he had arrived completely dirtied in blood early on — if he, secretly, already wasn’t inside of her heart. Although she had done her best to take it off him, the metallic scent of blood was still surrounding the breeze, quietly yet effortlessly being a constant reminder.

“Definitely a hero.” She whispered so low that he was almost convinced he had imagined it. However, when her gaze met him once again, Heeseung could bestow all the hidden stars tenderly reflecting through her eyes.

“But I will only confirm once you save me from this place.” Y/N teased. The corner of her lips tugging up in a silent hint.

“Have you ever thought of what you would do if you ever got out of here?”

“Find my parents.” She replied in a blink. “I want to know if they are at least alive.”

“I will put forth my best effort then.” Heeseung promised.

“I am honestly afraid of what it means.”

He could get a glimpse of her fingers dirtied in blood as she raised her hand to fix her hair. And the idea of her touching herself with something so impure terrified him, bringing Heeseung to raise his own hand and fix it for her — twisting a lock between his fingertips before placing it behind her ear. He almost lazily brushed her skin, creating and feeling each of her small shivers at the tip of his fingers as it traveled through her cheeks and neck before finally departing to her hands, covering the blemished view with his palm.

“It will be a good thing.”

“Is that so?”

“That is so.” He confirmed.

Her weak laugh came from nowhere and everywhere, quickly causing Heeseung to freeze at the sound. It sparkled so preciously inside of him that it made sense why it was the first time he was ever hearing it — the world that had tainted her could never deserve to be bestowed with such an enchanting sound.

Heeseung had promised to give her freedom, to help her break the contract that imprisoned her inside the four walls of the brothel in exchange for her help to gather information. On the first night it felt like a pact of convenience, but looking at her at this right moment, he noticed that she was never just a bargain to him. Her solemn existence felt like a light on his life, capable of driving any shadow away. And he was willing to take on any risk for her.

Y/N felt Heeseung’s hands letting go of hers just to tug to the side of his coat resting on her shoulders, tangling his fingers on the fabric before he brought her closer to him and allowed his warm breaths to melt the tiny snowflakes laying on her skin. The movement drifted her, the slowness of it, the wick burning to some explosion.

“May I?” He whispered against her lips.

And when Heeseung kissed her, he felt like the precise moment when the night was about to give in to the first sunlight. He was the end and the start, the darkness and light — he was everything, at least to her.

: Royalty, Mafia & Strangers To Lovers AU; Angst & Fluff

Y/N could only get a glimpse of the sun sneaking through the brothel’s main doors, its tenderness reflecting through the buildings and — just for a heartbeat, causing her to believe in the fairy tales her father used to create when she was a child, before it was closed once again and left only the memory to resonate with the subtle candle lights and the scent of cigarettes. However, what surprised her wasn’t her sudden belief, nor the unexpected warmth feeling in the middle of the harsh winter, but who had arrived.

Ever since the night Heeseung had kissed her, his schedule became unpredictable. He could come a few hours before midnight, or hours after midnight on nights he wasn’t supposed to — he never spoke of the rebels, Daekho, the royalty, nor the underground of it. Heeseung would always take her hand on his and whisper how he had come only to see her.

“These letters became a bother.” He once confessed. “You always think I am here for it when I only came to see you.”

However, never before had he come so early in the evening. Never dressed in the way he was dressed. Heeseung always held a powerful aurea, yet he seemed to have given up his known long leather coat and substituted it for a suit as dark. Though, it had been adorned with so much gold that as she gazed at him, she thought he could have defeated the king of the south and taken the title to himself.

“What’s the occasion?” Heeseung didn’t reply to her question. Instead, he took her hand on his, slowly kissing her knuckles as he found her gaze.

“Your promised freedom.” He whispered against her skin. Her smile stumbled in confusion as he let go of her warmth. “Wait for me, ok?”

“Is it dangerous?”

“Although I have never done it, I suppose there’s no danger.” Heeseung smiled. “Don’t worry.”

“I am always worried about you.”

I am always worried about you too, Heeseung could have admitted. However, he left the words to die at the tip of his tongue as he tangled his fingers through her hair, holding her still as he got so closer that Y/N could feel his lips brushing through her cheeks as he whispered.

“My saiai.”

┈┈┈┈┈┈┈┈┈┈┈┈┈┈┈┈┈┈┈┈┈┈┈┈

Dusk took its time to arrive. The last sun lights dimmed in between the clouds and through the large windows of the brothel’s hallway almost as if time had, as well, been holding its breath in aprehension. Even the just fired candle lights seemed to hesitate along with Y/N as she waited.

Differently from what Heeseung had asked, Y/N had followed him — her ankles high to prevent her heels from hitting the ground. She didn’t know that Heeseung had been scenting her perfume all the time, and when he turned around right after knocking on Daekho’s office doors he completely surprised her. His gaze instantly met hers because he knew exactly where she was standing.

“Don’t worry.” He mouthed, a chuckle escaping through his lips in amusement, just a second before the door was opened.

“Archduke Lee Heeseung.” The brothel’s owner spoke. “Pleased to meet you.”

“I should say the same.” Heeseung replied, and Y/N wondered if he had practiced the saying and the way to deliver it. He had spoken so lightly that no one could hear the irony beneath it but her. Anyone passing by would have been enchanted by the kindness with which he spoke those simple words between his forced smile — but Y/N had heard the mockery, felt it so deeply into her skin that she couldn’t help but still worry.

Even hours later, when the door was opened once again and the view of Daekho coming right after Heeseung took all her attention. They are extremely opposites, not only because Daekho only wore light colors, meanwhile she had only seen Heeseung in deep black, but the way they made her feel.

“Great, you are here.” Daekho said to her. “I have barely signed letters like this, so I remember every single one.”

“An archduke.” The owner of the brothel laughed, enjoying his particular joke all alone as the sound resonated through the large corridor disgustingly. “You always have been such a gold attracter, Y/N, perhaps it’s a loss to me.”

“Congratulations.” Daekho continued throughout their silence, and when he extended his hand to touch Y/N’s shoulder, Heeseung stepped in. His arm embracing her waist and bringing her out of the brothel’s owner’s reach. “I could accompany you two to the door, but I am in a hurry.”

“We can do it. Thank you.” Heeseung said, a discreet hissing coming in between his smile, but once again, Daekho didn’t seem to notice it as without any more words, he left.

“What’s this all about?”

“Your promised freedom.” Heeseung repeated, letting go of her just to reach an envelope in the inside pocket of his suit. Y/N immediately recognized the midnight blue wax the owner of the brothel’s always used to seal his letters, she had been sneaking through it so much to not immediately recognize, but the context inside was completely new to her. It had been years since she was brought to the brothel, but she had only seen one woman receiving this letter — Y/N couldn’t remember her name, and she doubted the name she used to speak through the crowded main room and between the dark hallways would be her real name to make any difference, but she remembers exactly what the woman had said.

“There are two ways to leave this place: have your freedom brought by some disgusting client- or buy it yourself.”

“How could I buy it if we don’t receive money?” Y/N asked. The woman laughed as she leaned in, ready to whisper her deepest secret:

“Sneak through their stupid pockets.”

“I thought you should experience the whole method.” Heeseung explained, catching her attention. “I am sorry if I have committed a mistake. It is with my name, but I won’t claim it. Not even this paper. It’s completely yours.”

“Heeseung.” She called in a whisper. “There’s no mistake. There could be a mistake on it. But the letters, how are you-”

“It’s not necessary anymore.” Heeseung admitted. “I have got everything the crown needs. In a week or two this city will turn into chaos.”

“I don’t want you to be in the middle of it.” He whispered. “Not again. Not ever again.”

“And are you staying?”

“It’s my duty.”

“I don’t like it. And I don’t want it either.” Y/N said, causing a laugh to escape through the archduke’s lips. She didn't notice how close he was until she could feel his small breaths rushing through her skin as he slowly lifted his hand to twist a lock of her hair between his fingertips.

“I am sorry, but I am already condescending one of your wishes.”

“My freedom?”

“No, it was our deal.” Heeseung gently smiled. “To find your parents, wasn’t it your wish once you were out of here?”

“I have a carriage waiting for you.”

┈┈┈┈┈┈┈┈┈┈┈┈┈┈┈┈┈┈┈┈┈┈┈┈

Night was a brisk when they stepped out of the brothel and walked in the direction of the said carriage. Y/N unconsciously shivered. The wind whipped around her, pressing cold kisses on her neck even though Heeseung had surrounded her by his suit just a few moments before. However, all she could pay attention to was the stars, shyly and quietly reflecting through the buildings and in the middle of the colorful lights of the city. The world leaned hungrily on its desires, but for the first time she could understand why people got lost on it.

“It really depends.” Y/N whispered as they arrived.

“What depends?”

“I could really say this city is pretty right now.”

“There’s no right answer in this world.” He remembered. “It could have always been pretty and we just couldn’t see it.”

“Heeseung.” She called, more like a warning than to take his attention and when Heeseung understood the situation, she was just a breath away, her warm hands sliding up his cheeks before he felt the space shifting between them, the sweetness of her perfume hitting on his together with her warmth over his lips.

He embraced her close, so close that he could feel her heartbeat against his. But yet it was not close enough to supply the ache of his soul.

“Thank you for everything.” She whispered.

“When things settle down, come and take what’s yours.” Y/N continued. Her hand quietly slid the document inside of his shirt’s pocket.

Around them the city fell so silent, as if time couldn’t touch them — Heeseung wished time couldn’t touch them, that his heartbeat could take ages to beat and allowed him to contemplate what he beheld at this right moment for something near eternity. However, time wouldn’t cease like this, so he just brushed his fingers through her hair, removing it from her face as he tried memorizing the enchantment of her features.

“You should go. Don’t waste more time in this city.” He said, just too suddenly letting go of her warmth and allowing the cold weather to brush through his skin as he watched Y/N getting into the carriage.

“Y/N.” He called. “Am I a hero?”

“You always have been.” She said, causing Heeseung to desire that words could be solid to be held close, so he could reach for them whenever he needed it the most.

There is any movement around this part of the South Kingdom. The village was so quiet that time seemed to pass in a completely different tempo over there. Meanwhile, the downtown was buried in the celebrations of the persistence of the royalty, this place seemed to be in his own time, almost like someone had brought a city out of a fairy tale, carefully molding it to fit the reality but still allowing it to carry the gentleness of a childish dream.

Heeseung noticed he had never been to any of the small villages of the kingdom as he carefully edged along the side of the river canals and watched the small markers along the buildings. Every so often he could hear voices selling handicrafts and candies, but even though he was mesmerized by the calmary of the place, he was searching for only one thing.

The smell of warm steam drifting from a bakery caused him to pause, it carried not only the aroma of spice bread glossed over with sugar, but the subtle sense of something deeper in him.

He didn’t notice when he had rushed to the bakery until he almost knocked into her.

“Heeseung.” Y/N whispered, pronouncing his name as if it was an enchantment, allowing it to brush through his skin as if it carried a deeper meaning than it did. “You came.”

“You told me to come and take what’s mine.” Heeseung remembered, his hand traveling to the front pocket of his coat, touching it just like she did after leaving the document with him. Even though she bit her lower lip to prevent her happiness from materializing through her smile, it did through her eyes, shining in stars Heeseung didn’t let go for a single second as she stepped closer enough to skim her fingertips through the front of his coat, leisurely playing with it as she got her face just a breath apart.

“Then do it.” She whispered against his lips.

So he did.

ENHYPEN MafiaSon! (Legal line) | Locking eyes with reader from across the room

The reactions each got reaaaally long this time but my fantasy went nuts on this, I could literally write a whole story for every one of them but my brain capacity is 0,0000000001 right now. I was writing this at like 1am... Niwi~

WARNINGS: Mention of Alcohol, Casino, afab!reader

Heeseung:

ENHYPEN MafiaSon! (Legal Line) | Locking Eyes With Reader From Across The Room

Heeseung brought you to one of those big gala like parties his Dad held regularly. It was your first time attending and Heeseung’s dad trusted you enough to be able to keep a secret and watch in silence when you eventually would have to. Heeseung did too, thats why he told you about his Dads job early into the relationship, which was years ago, now having an established relashionship with him. Heeseung also believed that you would have no problem mingling around the crowd, therefore, letting you alone so he could socialize a bit for himself, making contacts and talking to old acquaintances to improve his reputation as the Mafia Leaders Son. He was having a light conversation with a few men holding a glass of alcohol, must’ve been some sort of wine, while laughing with them. You yourself were conversing with three mid age and very kind women who appeared to be some mens wifes, holding a glass of wine too.  The women were appreciating your dress wondering about why ‘such a young lady like you’ would be amongst so many ‘old people’, then coming to the conclusion you of course must be with Heeseung, the polite gentleman. As soon as his name was mentioned, your gaze wandered over to your boyfriend while you, raised your glass to your lips out of embarrassment. It took you by surprise to see Heeseung already staring at you. His laugh did not plaster his face at all anymore. His gaze had a light undertone of pride to it. He continued his conversation with eaze but did not take his eyes off of you. And even though you two were far away from each other you could see his eyes drift over your figure in the sparkly, tight and elegant, long dress you wore. He was licking his lips, practically eye fucking you, taking off your dress... All while standing next to high position men with no shame or caution. You on the other hand were having significant problems concentrating on the women before you, which Heeseung noticed.

Your Father was a great business man and indeed well known among others. People would always try to form partnerships with him but your father would not just choose randomly, which made him and everything around him, you included, even more interesting. He treasured you like nothing else and he always wanted you to someday inherit his company. He took you to business trips here and there and even to some other job events when you got older, which is why you landed in an auction just now. Your father did not exactly tell you what he was auctioning for but he vigorously made clear that Mr Park and his Son, Jay, would be there too, waiting to raise their auctioning number on the same thing your Dad planned on. He explained to you that Mr Park would make his Son bid too with the thought that he would probably make him bid around the second half of the auction to intimidate other auctioneers by showing them the competition. He made sure you knew Mr Park was an important person as well and to look out for him. When you two arrived you sat down on the other side of the seating area parallel to Mr Park and Jay. Your Dad gave you a number too though, telling you to ‘fight fire with fire’ or something, giving you the instruction to raise your number when he told you to. The auction went on for a while and you nor your father moved once. Then finally it was time for your fathers plan to unleash. He indeed predicted Mr Parks plan correct. More and more people were stopping to bid. Then you noticed Mr Park telling Jay to finally raise his arm one last time but before he could do so your father pulled your arm up swiftly, almost making your shoulder crack. Jay was too surprised to lift his arm because he was then just looking at you, you replying with your eyes too. While his father was too focused on hardly nudging his son to do something instead of lifting his arm himself, the auction moderator started counting off. 3 counts felt like 1 Minute. You did not even notice your father cheering, kissing your head when apparently the thing you bid on got sold to you (more like your father). You were to captivated by Jay and so was he. He was indeed too stunned to do anything but eventually pulled himself together, blinking quiet a few times and then started turning to his father again, apologizing deeply. But he did turn his face to you here and there for the rest of the auction again.

It was a big day for your parents. Their new Casino was opening. The biggest and most luxurious in town. Did you like it? No. Did the opening ceremony mean for you to dress up for once? Yes! Your parents were strict on your education, meaning you were barely allowed to go out past 9pm, if at all. For sure you were going to put in everything to look just perfect. You did not want the pompous interior design to be the only thing to steal looks that night. Around the right time your were ready to drive to the said place and as soon as you arrived with your parents you already left their sides, searching for a hidden place on the first floor to look down and watch everything form above. It was surely entertaining to watch people just enjoying their card games or listening to the music around that just fit the vibe while leaning against the pillar to your right. You noticed your parents rushing to the entrance hall, disappearing for a second, then reapearing with a nicely dressed couple their age and a young, very handsome man behind. Your parents were seeming to speak comfortable with the couple, thy somewhat seemed to put a lot effort into impressing this couple specifically, the man behind them confidently took a few steps forward, excusing himself to look around, adjusting his suit. He was having a rather rapid tempo, scanning the room infront of him and then shifting his eyes to the upper floor until his eyes came to a stop right where you stood with one hand on the railing. With his eyes so did stop his feet. He took a sharp breath, fully taking in your presence and forming a smirk on his face. His hand wandered over his suit to his tie to loosen it a bit. You did the same, wandering your hands over your waist and chest, adjusting your dress’s strap. The man, who turned out to be the couples son named Jake, took this as an invitation, bit his lower lip and immediately rushed to you, not breaking eye contact. Let’s say that Jake made the night even more interesting and even outdid your expectations and hopes by far.

Sunghoon:

Art was something you always admired but what you did admire even more was your mom and you were undoubtedly proud of her for opening her third and most awaited art gallery. She was a very successful painter which did show by the big onrush of visitor that were just there to analyse your moms creations. You happened to be there too of course. Your mom always made sure to have you there and if not in person then she at least painted a part of you in one of her paintings, mostly being hidden but ‘true art connoisseurs would notice’ she always said- You took your rounds around the big labyrinth, taking in the colors and then stopped right infront of one of the paintings which wasn’t as crowded. Next to you stood one woman with imposing posture. She was so immersed into the painting that you did not notice yourself staring at her for Her staring at your moms painting until she started speaking up about how great of a fan she is and about how she always likes how the artist puts so much feelings in her artworks. It was hard for you to understand them even though you were the artists daughter you told the woman,  whereupon the woman rapidly turned her head to you. You were just as surprised as her but when she instantly started introducing herself and how nice it would be for her to meet the artists daughter you weren’t even able to process what she did next. She was pulling you to the middle of the gallery to a man, her husband, and started rambling about how she met you and how this would be the closest she would probably get to the artist. You, a little flustered, told her it would be no problem at all to introduce her to your mother, then right away you were looking for her until you found her among the people and pointed out where she was when suddenly- There he stood. A young and handsome male figure, you had to pull yourself together to not mistake him for one of your mothers artworks but you did not remember her creating any sculpure and neither would it be a sculpture of this much perfection but rather abstraction . There he stood with his hands in his pockets, he was facing you, swiftly looking at the woman next to you and then you. His lips were parting slightly and the air around you got thicker, the room appeared to be darker but the only light fell on him. Time almost seemed to stop when just a few seconds after the woman you were just talking with started complaining about how ‘her son’ was seriously standing next to the artist himself without realising, before she got the opportunity, and continued rambling to her husband about how she would finally be able to buy all the paintings she so much desired. You on the other hand were glued to where you stood. Sunghoon, the name the woman called her son out for, just looked at his mother with the side of his eye, slowly but finally turning his full body into your direction. It was pure tension which felt like pulling the two of you together.

How You Met: Inseong (1960)

WARNINGS: Inequality against women, not proofread, kind of abrupt ending but really the ending is just further up to your imagination 💝

Have fun with this kinda different concept tehehe. Niwi~

This is a scenario playing in 1960.

How You Met: Inseong (1960)

Inseong was a doctor in a well known hospital

You were a young nurse who got to work in the same hospital thanks to your father, also a doctor

Your father always wanted the best for you and supported you in all your interests. Growing up as a doctors child added to your interests to help people that felt sick. You wanting to be a doctor too was always a very welcoming idea for him because it meant you could one day lead his doctor’s office

Your plan was to actually study medicine but somehow it didn’t work, therefore you settled with working as a nurse for now, never abandoning your plan of going to university

You had a good time getting to know the hospital and everyone that worked there including the janitor

The head nurse always had an eye on you. You two had a good relationship. She was like a mother to you

You lost your mom due to health issues a few years ago which lead to your father working even more but he never failed to take care of you, the fear of loosing you too being too big, for whatever reason.

The first time you met Inseong was in the hospitals library, you were searching for a book you have heard medicine students talk about on the hospital campus and somehow you just grabbed for it when Inseong did too, him being a little faster.

You were nervous to ask for the book because you knew he was one of the best doctors around the hospital and your voice barely came out

He looked at you judgmental what made it even worse to speak a word.

Inseong: “What makes such a young nurse like you want to grab a medicine book which is very hard to understand?”

Y/N: “I- I was... erhm I heard of- nevermind. Doctor.”

He didn’t give it to you, just looked you up and down and left.

Next time you two met was in a presentation of one of the visiting doctors from abroad

it wasn’t allowed for nurses to join but you sneaked in and got a seat right next to Inseong.

You two sat in the very back of the room.

He noticed right away.

Inseong: “You again? What brings you here? Don’t you have patients you have to take care of?”

Y/N: “Doctor Kim I... I don’t work today. I was just interested.”

Inseong: “Just interested? Do you even understand what the Doctor is saying?”

Y/N: “I happen to understand most of it, Doctor Kim.”

Inseong: “Oh you do? Explain to me how to figure out someones blood type.”

Was He testing you? Yes. What was he thinking? Just because you were woman? It was an easy question to those who understood the basics of biology

Y/N: “Tsk... Every blood cell has its own surface structure consisting of Protein molecules called Antigens. The antigens protect the body from a foreign body. Thats why you can’t just give somebody a transfusion without checking their blood type. It could lead to a shock.”

Inseong: “Not bad... You seem to actually understand it instead of just memorizing it”

You were very proud of yourself.

The next few days after your last conversation you happened to meet more often either because you had to help him with a patient or because he ordered you to his labour for different reasons.

One day he asked you to his office because he wanted you to deliver samplings he was researching on.

When you had arrived he seemed to be in a conversation with two other doctors. You carefully placed the samplings on a table and sorted them for him so everything was how he wanted it to be.

You overheard one of the doctors talk about a medical congress about cancer that was held on the weekend. Your ears perked at them mentioning Peter Nowell and David Hungerford and you couldn’t hide your interest (like always).

Y/N: “The Philadelphia-Chromosome?”

Three heads turned to you, all of them looking very amused. It made you regret speaking up.

Y/N: “I am sorry...”

Doctor 1: “Doctor Kim who is this beauty? Doesn’t seem to know that a woman isn’t supposed to INTERRUPT men.”

Doctor 2: “You know how nurses can be. Put their noses into everything but can’t get out without causing struggle. I don’t understand why you allow her to waddle around your office. She might break something.”

Inseong: “Gentleman you shouldn’t judge a book by it’s cover. I would rather trust her with my samplings than you two with my patients. She knows more than you think. She probably has PUT HER NOSE into more books than you two put your noses into girls panties. May I ask you to leave now?”

Doctor 2: “Huh... Impossible. We will see you around Doctor Kim”

The two Doctors left slightly ashamed of how Inseong exposed them.

Y/N: “Thank you Doctor...”

Inseong: “Ms. Y/L/N don’t worry about those men. Someday you will prove that you can do big just like you proved me.”

At this you got a little flustered which he noticed. He stared at your red face which made you even more flustered.

Inseong: “Thank you for delivering the samplings. You are of big help.”

Y/N: “No Problem Doctor-”

You were about to leave but Inseong stopped you

Inseong: “Inseong. Call me Inseong.”

Shocked you said: “Doctor Kim what will the other nurses think?”

Inseong: “Oh come on Y/N. Just call me Inseong when we’re alone and Doctor Kim whe n we’re around patients and other nurses. How does that sound?”

You shyly nodded your head: “Okay Inseong”

Inseong: “Oh and Y/N?”

Y/N: “Yes?”

Inseong: “Would you come to the congress with me? I would like to take you out to dinner afterwords”

Y/N: “I- YES. I mean... yes. Yes I would like that.”

Inseong smiled: “Great! I really want to talk more about your interests.”

You walked out of the room telling your goodbyes. Out of the room you ran through the floor holding your warm cheeks

STRAY KIDS Reaction! To their gf being the devil's daughter

Warnings: Mentionings of Lucifer/Satan, a little bit of demonic description, cliche images of the devil and the “dark power”

Didn’t proofread so pls ignore any mistakes 🥺 Niwi~

!I wanted to keep it short even tho it’s already very long so it might seem a bit rushed!

Bang Chan:

STRAY KIDS Reaction! To Their Gf Being The Devil's Daughter

You told him about it after he noticed things were strange whenever you had your hands involved in something that was important to him like getting to produce things with a producer that wasn’t free so he asked you wether it's luck or-

Well... You bluntly told him it's not luck but it's simply a gift you got from you Dad. Chan of course didn't know what you meant so you just showed him.

Y/N: “You could say I have some kond of super powers but I ain’t a hero.”

Chan: “Okay I get it. Will you show me?”

He was super curious and kind of positive because you didn’t make it seem like something overly negative

You made him see an illusion of a dog build from the shadows walking in his direction. Chan was for sure very shook and jumped away but as soon as he did the illusion disappeared. When he saw you laughing he calmed down. He took it in really well when you told him about hell, demons and your dad being Lucifer. He was fascinated by your powers but was very much afraid of your Dad. You assured him that he wasn't that bad and that you are neither.

He’d want to learn from you but you sadly had to tell him he couldn’t and even if he could you wouldn’t want him to have your knowledge and power cause it’s dangerous and he isn’t really made for that type of power.

Lee Know:

STRAY KIDS Reaction! To Their Gf Being The Devil's Daughter

Whenever you where over at his place his cats were all over you and he was kinda annoyed by it.

Minho: "Why do they like you so much? You don't even cuddle with them!"

Y/N: "Cats aren't called the devil's pet for nothing baby. Of course they like me. We have the same charismatic"

Minho: "Did you just call my cats devil's creatures? How dare you!"

You knew he thought about his cats like they were angels and that he took it as an “insult” that you called them the exact opposite somehow. You got a little offended by it.

Y/N: "Don't you dare to think that angels are ‘oh-so-good’ infront of me ever again. I know exactly what's going on in your head right now. Not all of us are bloody bad to the gut!"

Minho: “What do you mean.... all of us?”

Instead of explaining yourself you let your mood get onto you too much and instead showed him what you had alwas wanted to show him. Your face turned into ghost-like features with goat horns. Minho was more than surprised and he couldn’t get out a word.

Minho: “Y-You did-... H-how was tha- OMG“

Y/N: “I’m sorry...my temperament came out... I promise you I’ll explain it to you.”

Minho nodded so fast. He was shook! His cats didn’t mind and instead tried to get you to pet them.

Changbin:

STRAY KIDS Reaction! To Their Gf Being The Devil's Daughter

You two were playing poker and in 13 rounds Changbin didn’t win once. He was very frustrated and accused you of cheating.

Changbin: “I swear Babe stop playing unfair! This can’t be real... is this some magic? Why am I loosing all the time?”

Y/N: *smirks* “Yeah you could say it’s magic. Devils magic if I gotta be exact.”

Changbin: “Stop playing Y/N... I want you to show me your hands!”

You were in a VERY good mood for joking around a bit so you did what he asked for and put out your arms... all four of them. Changbin almost fell out of his chair when he saw this. He was sure his girlfriend hasn’t had four arms when he first met you... He was squinting his eyes once and they were gone.

Y/N: “I told you baby! Devil’s magic.

Changbin: “Y/N What the hell was that?! What kinda crap is this??? Are you a witch or something? Are there more people who can do this?”

Y/N: “No... I’m not a witch. I’m one of the devil’s children and yes there are ‘a few’ people, my siblings, that can do this. You’ll learn to understand. Now don’t you wanna play again? This time I will play fair of course.”

Changbin: “Oh you bet imma beat your ass this time baby... in game and out of game. This got to a whole new level of darkness!”

Hyunjin:

STRAY KIDS Reaction! To Their Gf Being The Devil's Daughter

Most of the time you were a pretty honest person. If you couldn't get something you did whatever you had to do to get it without causing trouble. However if you wanted to have a little bit of fun without moving a finger you pulled out your tricks.

Y/N: "If I get Seungmin to do your laundries for one week you will give me a massage every day for two weeks. Deal?"

Hyunjin: "What's with you and always making deals?"

Y/N: "It's a devil's trait. Plus life is more fun this way don’t you think so?."

You knew you were winning anyway since you would easily trick Seungmin. But then he got curious and asked about this "devil's trait". When you explained to him he wanted proof. You then showed him by calling Seungmin on the phone and telling him to do Hyunjins laundry plus to compliment him, which he immediately agreed on and then did as you asked for after giving the phone to your boyfriend."

Hyunjin: "I could get used to this" He smiled mischievously.

Han:

STRAY KIDS Reaction! To Their Gf Being The Devil's Daughter

Han: “Babe, the guys recently told me I look like a squirrel and I kinda agree with that. If you were an animal which one would it be?”

Y/N: “Oh that one is easy. A goat for sure!”

Han: “What? No no no... you look nothing like a goat”

Y/N: “Uhm... it’s weird to explain but I kinda AM a goat”

Han: “Yeah yeah we all know you can be a bit grumpy sometimes bit that doesn’t make you a goat”

Y/N: “I’m gonna pretend I didn’t hear that...”

You tried to convince him that you really resembled a goat but eventually you gave up when Han started to get all fuzzy and it was annoying you. So to make him stop talking you sinply twirled a finger and your human boyfriend turned into a small squirrel with peanuts in his hands. Of course you didn’t let it last for long and as quickly as he turned into a squirrel he turned into his human self again.

Han: “I BEG YOU to NEVER ever do this EVER again!”

He was terrified. You did apologize many times but there was no use. He didn’t talk to you for the rest of the day but it didn’t take long for him to get used to the idea of you being the devils child after you told him every little secret of yours.

Felix:

STRAY KIDS Reaction! To Their Gf Being The Devil's Daughter

With him it was a rather simple occasion that you wanted to tell him you were able to do what the devil has done but let me tell you he would not believe you. Not even after you turned his hair fire red in a split second. He shrug it of as the light playing with his eyes. You had to admit it was rather weak to convince him you were satans daughter by turning his hair into another color but you didn’t wanna scare him to death... literally.

Y/N: “Come on Felix what do I gotta do for you to believe me?”

Felix: “Well let me meet your father. I’m sure he’s not as bad as you make him sound”

Y/N: “He isn’t that bad but... he’s the devil. You’d probably need an audience to meet him and you as a human... thats just not possible. Hmmm I could ask my mother tho...”

Felix: “I really gotta say you’re really into this role hm? Sure I wanna see your mother coming out of the floor with black fog around her and dark clothes!”

Y/N: “Don’t be silly. She’s not some kinda reincarnation coming from space... I’ll call her..”

Felix was beginning to talk again when a few second later there stood mother lilith with crossed arms, looking at the two of you while tapping her foot. She knew what was going on. She of course could sense it.

Mother Lilith: “What do we got here huh? My darling may I take him on a walk around hell?”

You nodded your head and told her to not show him around the too horrible places and it actually just took her 10 seconds to disappear with Felix and then appear again. Poor boy was shaking.

Y/N: “Thanks Mother... I’ll take care of him. Sorry baby but I didn’t know what else to do to make you believeme :(“

You eventually used some dark magic to make him recover from that but you were in for a long night of having to listen to his complaints.

Seungmin:

STRAY KIDS Reaction! To Their Gf Being The Devil's Daughter

Y/N: “Seungmin please stop taking photos of me!”

Seungmin: “But why? You’re eyes are so beautiful and I don’t have a single photo of you with eyes open. Just one or two!”

You hesitated but gave in when he started giving you the puppy eye look. He took a few pictures and started looking at them. His smily face turned pale when he saw them. You quickly took them from him.

Y/N: “This was a stupid idea Seungmin. I told you I don’t like pictures of me...”

Seungmin: “You also didn’t tell me you got some demonic aura embracing yourself... thats what it looks like at least. Y/N what is this?”

He was surprisingly calm but you could feel his concern.

Y/N: “You know... demonic is not that wrong. I never wanted you to take pictures of me because they show this ‘aura’ when I open my eyes... it’s weird to explain but it’s just how it is. Kinda like how vampires don’t have a reflection but it’s the... opposite for me? Does that make sense?”

Seungmin took the photos and ripped them in pieces.

Seungmin: “You don’t have to talk about it if you don’t want to. Let’s forget about it.”

Y/N: “No Seungmin it’s not fair. I got some explaining to do.”

You sat down with him and told him everything. Out of all the members I feel like he’d sense some insecurities in you behind all this strenght and he somehow got to trigger exactly that point. He feels guilty so he tries to be as understanding as he can.

I.N:

STRAY KIDS Reaction! To Their Gf Being The Devil's Daughter

Jeongin was struggling a lot with his upcoming test. He had been learning nonstop but he just couldn’t get anything in his head. You really wanted to help him so you got an idea. You sat besides Jeongin who was trying his best at getting the answers in his head.

Y/N: “Jeongin-ie? I would like to take some pressure off of you. What I’m about to tell you might be a bit shocking so I need your full attention for a few minutes.”

He gladly took his eyes off his paper and watched you speak. You tried to explain to him what you were capable of and how you would like to help him.

Y/N: “-and I am basically going to be in your head to tell you all the answers. If you don’t feel comfortable with this I could try to find another method.”

Jeongin: “.......... Sounds good to me”

Y/N: “...What? No confusion? Thats your reaction?”

Jeongin: “Okay yeah I’m little confused about why you would wanna help me when you’re the devils daughter in person but I really need to empty my head!”

Y/N: “I mean it would count as cheating so it’s not really a good thing to do all along but it would help you wouldn’t it?”

Jeongin: “That’s true... I don’t mind. Do we have to practice this ‘takimg control over my brain thing’ or...?”

Smart boy would adapt to your powers very fast and tbh he wpuld take advantage of them. He’s the perfect fit for you!

SF9 Reaction to S/O having a hidden tattoo

WARNINGS: none

Niwi~

Youngbin:

image

When he discovered your small dragon tattoo on your shoulder blade he’d constantly play with it by touching and naming it like it’d be a living thing. He’d sometimes show it off to the other members by lifting up your shirt and putting his face against it.

Youngbin: “Look this is little Bin dragon, it has my name”

Rowoon: “You don’t say!?”

Y/N: “Yo STOP LIFTING MY SHIRT!”

Inseong:

image

When you two were eating you rolled up your sleeves. This is when he spotted your flower tattoo. It was under your elbow and it was very small. He stopped drinking and immediately thaught of how he didn’t notice. No big reaction but he’d have a conversation with himself in his head.

Inseong: “You have a tattoo?”

Y/N: “Oh yeah haha, It’s so small I sometimes forget about it. I got it a year ago.”

Inseong: “Ah... Cool cool.”

Jaeyoon:

image

You were in the middle of cooking something when he came from behind and wrapped his arms around your waist while starting to kiss your shoulder up to your neck. You tilted your head so your hair fell a little to the side. He opened his eyes and stopped kissing you but his lips where still on your neck. You asked him whats wrong and he started wiping off what he saw there. When you turned around you saw his confused look.

Jaeyoon: “You have a tattoo?”

Y/N: “Well yeah it was my first one.”

Jaeyoon: “You have more? Wow okay. You have to show them to me. Hey maybe we could get couple tattoos?”

Y/N: “Yeah no think about getting one for yourself first honey. Let’s take babysteps huh?”

Dawon:

image

When he saw you coming out in that new bikini you just bought he would run to you and hug you while the others would watch him. He lifted you up bridal style to through you into the water but then the thin lettering on your thigh jumped into his eye. While you were screaming for him to let you down he just whirled around with his head trying to find words. He let you down and kneeled infront of you. It actually looked really wrong but when he grabbed your leg he then asked you out.

Dawon: “Baby since when do you have a tattoo? Why did you never tell me? When did You get it?”

Y/N: “Uh... I told you ahaha. You don’t remember?”

Dawon: “I thought it was a joke???”

Y/N: “Well no it wasn’t”

Dawon: “Anyways let’s pose infront of the others!”

And there he was flexing his muscles while you stretched out your leg elegantly. All in all he would be confused but the whole situation would just be funny.

Rowoon:

SF9 Reaction To S/O Having A Hidden Tattoo

Rowoon was in a rush and you were helping him with his tie as he tried to do his hair. His body was leaning towards you but his head was looking towards the mirror on the side. When you started having problems he looked down to you and your hands. But then he noticed your cleavage. He was frozen with his hands still in his hair and when you noticed where his eyes were looking at you stopped what you were doing and covered up yourself.

Rowoon: “I- I’m so sorry. I didn’t mean to-“

Y/N: “Don’t worry... just don’t look anymore”

You did your second attempt to do his tie and Rowoon again tried to glance down but when he saw that there was some sentence written under your collarbone he stopped your hands from doing what they did.

Rowoon: “YOU HAVE A TATTOO?”

Y/N: “I TOLD YOU NOT TO LOOK ROWOON!”

Rowoon: “Oh come on how can I not?”

Y/N: “I am your best friend! That should be enough for you to not look at my boobs!”

Rowoon: “You really are a pain in the ass sometimes you know that? I’m a man and you look sexy... so what? This tattoo isn’t making it any less hard for me”

He would make lots of sassy comments and chase after you to get a closer look.

Zuho:

image

The whole thing came out of nowhere. You lay on the sofa with your stomach and only had his shirt on with your underwear. Zuho as the big cuddler he is jumped onto you. His hands landed on your butt. He began to knead but stopped again relatively quickly when he discovered the tattoo under your butt. You turned around to caress his cheek but stopped halfway when you saw his surprised face. Then you realized where he was looking at.

Y/N: “Like what you see?”

Zuho: “Damn this is hot you know that?”

Y/N: “It’s just a tattoo baby”

Zuho: “Yeah but it’s under your butt!”

He was totally fascinated.

Taeyang:

SF9 Reaction To S/O Having A Hidden Tattoo

He first saw your tattoo when you two started dating and you began walking around him without many clothes on early into the relationship. You were getting ready, walking around in just your underwear, rushing from one room to another passing him three to five times and hectically asking him where he put your stuff. Everytime you turned to him he saw Something on your hip bone. He mistook it as a mole at first but when you got closer to him because you had to reach for sonething he saw that it was actually a small ladybug tattoo!

Taeyang: “You have a cute tattoo there Y/N.”

Y/N: “Thanks baby :)”

Would compliment you if you had any other tattoos and tell you that he liked them and once in a while would ask you if he can look at them again.

Hwiyoung:

SF9 Reaction To S/O Having A Hidden Tattoo

You were a person that would always cover up with as much clothes as you could as you didn’t like exposing that much of yourself. You would dress up a bit more when you had to go out for any event and when Hwiyoung had invited you to his birthday party you took the chance and put on a skirt that exposed your thigh very much. When you arrived Hwiyoungs chin dropped to the floor. He had a huge crush on you and he would lie if he said he didn’t think about you in something a bit more revealing before. When he saw that something black was twirling around your thigh he thought it was some fabric stuff dangling down from your skirt but at the second look he couldn’t keep his eyes away from it. He began sweating and rushed to you.

Hwiyoung: “Y/N so good to see you! That thing on your thight is-“

Y/N: “A tattoo. Yes”

Hwiyoung: “And a pretty big one too! You surprise me every time. What else do you got under all that huh?”

FLIRTY for the rest of the day because he is highkey turned on and his head imagines you in so many ways. Is good at keeping it a secret... if he wants to.

Chani:

SF9 Reaction To S/O Having A Hidden Tattoo

You and the whole group were partying and somehow everyone ended up mocking you and Chani as you two were the most innocent ones in this round of people. Chani didnt say anything against what everyone was saying because he was used to it but you were full on defense mode and tried to say anything against them. For Chani it was very amusing. He liked it when you were upset as he thought you looked very cute. When you had enough you sat next to Chani again and mumbled to yourself.

Y/N: “They would be surprised about what I already did...”

This caught Chanis attention and so he nudged you with his elbow and asked you what you meant. While everyone was back at discussing things without you two you took out your phone and searched for a photo of you where- lets say it was seductive. You were sitting on the floor, hands around your chest to hide whats naked but not enough to hide your tattoo between your breasts which was rather large. You didn’t think twice and showed Chani.

Y/N: “If they’d know that I already got a pretty big tattoo they would talk differently...”

Chani was just staring at the photo in slight shock. You practically just showed him a nude and all you think about is that tattoo? You definitely are innocent. He just smiled at you and again kept his mouth shut. You don’t have to guess about what he was thinking forthe rest of the night. At least he couldn’t stop staring at your chest when you were talking.

What types of genre do you write may I ask before requesting??

I do write fluff, angst, smut, a mixture of everything mainly but most of the time I get inspired by angsty stuff :) With deep horror I still have to make my experience ✌

X1′s Seungyoun as your Boyfriend (AU?!)

You two got together in high school

You already knew each other in middle school but he was just a small boy not caring for girls but rather caring about being the clown of his class

It took you two way to long to get together since you never knew what you were for him and he never dared to tell you because he was dumb lol

Anyways in high school you got close friends and when the last year came everyone was like “Why don’t you two date or something?”....

Offf all you could do was shrugging and giving them a kinda desperate look

People felt sorry for you. They really did

It made click when a really handsome guy asked you out for prom and you were really happy about that

Seungyoun was super jealous

And you didn’t go to prom with him. He still didn’t ask

He didn’t even get a date for prom himself and just munched on the food while watching you dance with that boy that wasn’t him

He randomly came to you at last school day and asked you to be his girlfriend

He never hinted anything so you were confused as hell and thought he was joking

He showed you that he wasn’t joking and kissed you

Since then he took you on lots of dates, mostly food dates owo

When he got his own appartment he took you there a lot because he loved to cuddle and thats all you would do there.

Watching films and having a Netflix marathons was your thing

When it comes to his first time, you were his first and he was yours

THAT was the moment he knew he was so obsessed with you

Seriously it was like him growing on a whole new level

HE BECAME A F*CKING MAN Y’AAAAALL

Didn’t know how to deal with these new feelings so he overplayed them by joking around “with” you so much (Rather making jokes about you)

People thought you were siblings instead of being a couple

It often made you sad

Is the type of boyfriend that actually gives you lots of reasons to be sad or jealous

Like- He doess’t mean to but he still does and thats the point when the arguments start. A lot. You had to confront him

You were asking him if you could come over and he of course told you yes

When you arrived you told him you wanna talk and he was concerned

You asked him to sit down on his couch and talked calmly about what you want to complain about

All in all you felt like not being his girlfriend anymore and that you often got jealous because of him spending a lot more time with M.O.L.A and being super close to Jimin

It hurt you when he treated her different and more like he’d love her instead of you

He was speechless

You asked him to think about it

At the end you two decited to go on a break and to be honest it took you a while to get together again and it for sure wasn’t the only break

But he is a loyal soul

He waited for you and learned about you and your feelings, treating you the way you deserved since he really didn’t give you much attention before

That being said he gave you many flowers (Seriously I see him as the ‘Boyfriend bringing flowers’ Type)

He often made small actions that reminded you of how much he loves you like randomly pulling his hoodie over your head or putting his cap on it even tho his hair looked super weird

It was all about maturing for him and that showed so much

He showed you off a lot but when he did he also got jealous so it often got him to malfunctioning- Help him

When it comes to Sex; It took a freaking long time to get comfortable with each other but now that you two were close it was one of the things he admired the most so he wouldn’t wanna do it too often

He has his phases tho when he needs you more than twice a week but he keeps it low

Sex with him is so sensual you probably end up crying because of happiness (and because he makes you extremly sensitive)

He moans a lot and he laaast a long time

If the fairy lights ain’t on then he wont do it. He thinks its more romantic Oh what a boy my heart

All in all after getting together and after the beginning of your relationship being being a rough time you just feel like he is your soulmate and I mean it. Like he is super serious with his feelings and the fights with hime are rare

Calls you ‘Jagi’ 24/7 without wanting anything

“Jagiiii~”  “Yes?” “...” “Seungyoun?” “...” “Seungyoun what is it?” “Nothing” “Then why did you call out for me?” “Idk. I just like calling you ‘Jagi’“

He still jokes around with you but not so that he hurts you but that he rather jokes >with< you

Makes weird faces to make you laugh because he loves your laugh no matter how it sounds

Tells you how beautiful it is whe you smile and how beautiful you are

OKay Uhm I don’t know what has gotten into me.... This is super long and really seems more like a Seungyoun Oneshot AU. I can try to make another ‘Seungyoun’ as a boyfriend but Idol edition? Will go into the same direction then but I am sure I will have ideas for that one too. I will let it be for now but y’all can always request when requests are open lol.

Good to have you

ATEEZ SAN Yandere AU Oneshot

WARNINGS: Mention of blood, Yandere, Slight violence, Death

Y/N: “No, No, No, NO, NOOO!”

You had tried to clean the carpet for the umpteenth time but it just wouldn’t get clean. How could San spill this much wine? The glass was shattered all over the floor. You kneeled for too long your knees began to have red prints. They felt numb just like your hands that were soaked from all the water.

Y/N: “Oh damn this carpet was ugly anyways… San won’t bother if I throw it away will he? The spot isn’t even that visible anymore”

You sighed and swiped the sweat away from your forehead. You pulled down your sleeves again and brought away the things you tried to clean up the mess with. You tried to pick up the glass carefully and sweep up the rest. Just as you were going to roll up the carpet the door to yours and Sans apartment opened and what you saw let you drop the carpet again. Your mouth fell wide open and your eyes started watering immediately.

San greeted you with a big smil just like he always did and bent down near your face to give you a kiss on the cheek. Your general feeling changed to that much of a discomfort. It felt like someone was holding your throat.

Sans face was covered in blood. It dripped down his neck and further down onto his shirt.

San: “Oh god thank you sweety. The carpet looks better now. Would not have known what to do with it. I guess it was hard to clean it wasn’t it?”

No words came into your head let alone roll over your tongue. Your mouth moved in hope something would come out.

Y/N: “San, what was I cleaning? What was it, that I wiped off…?”

He picked up the rug and looked at it proudly but threw it in the trash.

Y/N: “San, what did you do?”

San: “No no. Honey, that’s not the important question. The important question is what your boss has done. What he has done to you.”

You lost a terrible whimpering and your hands flew to your mouth as the tears slowly began to build up in your eyes until they rolled down your cheeks without stopping. San quickly sat down next to you to wipe away the tears but you scared back. He was not pleased with this reaction and almost dragged you into a hug.

San: “I didn’t like how he treated you. The way he gave orders and looked at you. I know you have filed a complaint against him but as you know I’m not very patient … I showed him what happens when someone treats you like this. Because you are mine and I do not tolerate this contact. I’m disappointed you did not pay attention.”

He pouted at you and held your face in his hands so you could look at him. Then he smiled at you again as if nothing had happened. Like you never cried. He was too proud of what he did. You knew that. You did not want to play or give him the feeling that what he did was right but you had no other choice whatsoever.

Y/N: “San you are… dangerous.”

San was negatively surprised, which he expressed.

San: “How can you say that baby? You should think about what you said there because it isn’t true and-“

He interrupted his sentence to pull you up by the arm and throw you against the wall, the impact was too intense it pushed out a strong cough of yours. He slammed his fist into the wall next to your head.

“-and I do not want to do that, you hear me? Stop talking to people like him and I will not be mad okay baby?”

You nodded your head as fast as possible. You knew you had no choice. It was the first time in your relationship you have seen San like this and it was immediate trauma. That mad face changing into a rapid smile… How little did you know him? To be honest, you did not want to know. You did not want to meet him with this behavior… with this characteristic. You were scared and that feeling would be the only thing that accompanies you. Because you would not get away from him. You were too weak. He made you remember that. Every day and every night he would manipulate you into thinking your weak self needed a man like him.

You gave in…

San: “It’s so good to have you my sweetheart…”

Note: This just popped into my head and I wrote it down very quickly without really thinking.

Seventeen Reaction! to their child asking why there are so many Santas

Seungcheol:

image

He and his daughter were walking in the mall, hand in hand when they stopped infront of a small stage with a big stool a man dressed as Santa was sitting on. Passig by they got to see the not so well hidden backstage with at least two more men dressed as Santa. His little daughter was pointing there with a cute little shocking gasp and asking her dad:

“Daddy why are there so many Santas?”

And Daddy kneeled down to hold her cheek and simply tell her: “Santa needs some help my baby. Even he can’t do everything!“

Jeonghan:

image

He was driving home with his four years old daughter and his 9 months old son after meeting Santa to tell him their christmas wishes. His daughter was silently playing with a doll and his son was sleeping. She had a concerned look on her face and Jeonghan noticed so he asked her what is up.

“Daddy why was there a different Santa than last year? Can he change his looks?”

Jeonghan kept a straight face and told her: “You know my angel... years ago there weren’t that many kids on earth so Santa could handle to give presents to the children all alone. Now that there are so many children he really needs help”.

Satisfied with that answer his daughters eyes went to her doll again.

Joshua:

image

Joshuas son was playing with his Dads phone while Joshua was cooking in the kitchen. The 3 years old boy clicked on a video and to be seen were Seventeen. All of them wearing Santa costumes. His son then screamed: “Daddy why are you wearing Santas costume when you are not Santa?”. Joshua came out of the kitchen seeing the video that was being played and took the phone away. “No no we were just helping Santa! You can help Santa too one day if you want...”. His son just got really excited loool.

Jun:

image

Jun and his two sons were eating Pizza while watching TV and as it should be there were played many christmas advertisements. His sons here and there stopped eating to watch them but ate again when Jun reminded them of eating. One of his sons then asked why in every advertisement Santa looked different. Jun smiled and said: “This isn’t the real Santa. Santa is way too busy to be starring on TV”. Not happy about that the two boys looked at their food, one of them nearly started crying. Jun then added: “He is too busy with choosing your presents but you will only get presents when you are good boys and eat up your food” and as every kid wants a present they pushed the Pizza in their mouth.

Soonyoung:

image

His 4 year old son kept pulling on his dads shirt because he was curious about the amount of Santas he saw down the street the day before and shyly asked: “Daddy is Santa real? You can tell me. I saw many of them yesterday.”

Soonyoung laughed and told his son with a certain look: “Of course Santa is real my son! It’s just that everyone can be Santa if they really want to make other children happy!”

His son told him that he wanted to make other children happy and Soonyoung patted his head: “I want that too buddy. Next year we will be Santa too!”

Wonwoo:

image

Wonwoo and his little daughter were sitting on her little table with paper and pens. They were both drawing on one big paper and the paper was full with Santas. His daughter was a bit confused about what her Dad drew so she asked: “Daddy why would you draw so many of them?”. Wonwoo then asked her: “One Santa makes many people happy right?”. His daughter nod. “Then many Santas make even more people happy”. That wasn’t really a helpful answer but it got her to think about it for a long time.

Woozi:

image

He was waiting in the line with his daughter to see Santa and she was very excited. Her eyes were glued on that big man sitting on that big red chair but suddenly he stood up and went behind the stage. A new Santa came out that looked smaller than the other one and Woozis daughter noticed. She tapped his leg with her small hand and said: “Dad that is not Santa! Where did Santa go?”. Woozi shook his head and strocked her small back. “No honey that is Santa. You must be seing things my sweety”. Accepting that answer because daddy must be right she got excited again.

Minghao:

image

Minghao was blasting christmas music and him and his son were dancing to it. The music got interrupted by a phone call that Minghao accepted. He was talking with Jun about some christmas presents and Minghao might have said a bit too loudly: “No I don’t know what I will buy my son as a christmas present. I still didn’t even talk about it with my wife-” and then his son started crying. Telling Jun he had to hang up he threw his phone on the couch and hugged his son. Trying to calm him down he said: “My boy you will get a christmas present from Santa if you are a good boy ok? It’s just that there are many children that Santa wants to get some presents for because they are poor and that makes him very very busy!”. As his boy stopped crying he asked: “Daddy? Other boys and girls don’t have toys? I want them to have my toys then!”. Mingao kissed his sons head and smiled proudly.

Mingyu:

image

Mingyu and his little daughter were making a mess in the kitchen by baking christmas cookies and there was a cookie cutter that looked like Santa. Mingyu was going to use it twice but his daughter stopped him: “Daddy you can’t do that! There is only one Santa”. Mingyu laughed: “But there are many Santas my dear”. His daughter was a bit angry and asked why there wasn’t just one Santa? Mingyu told her that since the real Santa is very old he needs to educate new Santas to help him. His daughter was very confused but took the cookie cutter from him anyways and put it to the side. Mingyu was laughing and put some flour on her chubby cheek to make her smile again.

Dokyeom:

image

Dokyeoms son was sitting on his lap and he constantly mentioned how happy he would be to see Santa again. Dokyeom got out a little photobook to look at some christmas photos. There were already two photos where his son was sitting on Santas leg. His son was now old enough to notice some differences so he asked daddy why Santa looked different. Dokyeom smiled and held the book close to his face. “I can’t see a difference. I guess I need glasses don’t you think so?”. His son didn’t even think about it again and laughed with his father. Like father, like son!

Seungkwan:

image

His daughter was crying for five minutes now because she pulled on Santas beard when they were in the mall to visit him. She cried so much that Seungkwan didn’t even get to explain why there wasn’t sitting Santa himself. After some time he brought her candies and a teddy bear so she would not cry again. Then she finally asked: “Daddy why did I not get to see the real santa? I was a good girl I promise!”. It made Seungkwan really sad to see her like this with a runny nose and red eyes so the best thing he thought about was to tell her that even Santa can get sick. “My pumpkin...When every child wishes for something big, Santas back hurts very much so he has to rest”. His daughter got concerned and told him: “I don’t want Santa to be sick because of me. I won’t be wishing for something big anymore”. Seungkwan almost cried because of how sweet hearted his child is. Besides he was kinda relieved since he wouldn't have to buy her something that is really expensive.

Vernon:

image

Him and his son went to Santaland twice and it was the same Santa for these two years so when they went to another mall this year his son asked why Santa wasn’t there to write down his wish. Vernon told him that Santa is really busy this year so he got a friend for help. And he might have said that this year the only really cool kids get to see Santa. His son asked: “I want to be cool so I can see Santa!”. Vernon held his sons hand and told him: “Well cool kids have to be listening to their parents and be very well-behaved”. His son already created a checklist for things he'd have to do for being well-behaved in his head.

Dino:

Seventeen Reaction! To Their Child Asking Why There Are So Many Santas

Ok so I feel like when his child would ask why there were so many Santas going down the street when they were watching a parade Dino told them they should ask Mommy. He never thought about a good answer for that question. He didn’t even think it would pop up that soon when his child was only two years old. When you (their mom) told them these people were dressed as Santa because they wanna cherish his work by wearing the same clothes. Dino would ask you later what you told them.

First reaction of mine. Hope you like it.

Nina
