Welp. I didn’t expect this but somehow another Inktober thing spawned.. I think the prompt list is really helping XD I woke up this morning and I was like, oh yeah! I have prompts!! So this happened. And it looks like the girl from last time is back, investigating a mystery. Wonder what happened to the person she was texting before? Hmmm... >w>

@paigecofferillustration So @enjoliquej introduced me to this Draw This In Your Style challenge and she was right about one thing, this char is definitely my aesthetic. Kinda a scrubby paint thing I tried to neaten it up a bit, but it’s still pretty scrubby... Maybe I’ll come back to it later and touch it up again, I don’t know >.e I’m about ready to be done with it though. Probably ain’t gonna win any awards for this piece of work, but it was a really nice study in color theory and how these things worked together~ Twas fun!

Nfhnanh this isn’t that great but me and @enjoliquej did an art trade and she had me draw Simmous while she drew me this feelsy picture of Tsuname. So we basically ended up drawing each other’s favorites... XD; My favorite Simmous and one of her (many) favorites Tsuname XD;; (She did so good on the tunaface aghnsdkjngn)

The irises are in full bloom again and you know what that means? Iris Shiidian time! I was going to edit this more on PS and still might… Need to fix a few things. But golly, compared to last year’s? I’m really proud of this XD; It helps Autodesk Sketchbook for mobile is now free if you have an account ;;w;; *cries tears of joy* So many new features. MORE LAYERS. CANVAS SIZES. MORE BRUSHES. Brush customizability, lines, SELECTIONS!! So long I suffered with the cruddy free version ;;w;; now the whole thing is free ughhh IT PAID OFF. The disappointment of last year’s update with its lag and enduring through the changes paid off ;w; Autodesk peeps were playing a long game with that update but golly just look at the difference what I can do compared to last year!! But uh, maybe I should explain a bit while I’m still here. So for a while my alien species the Shiidians only had a generic leaf shape until years ago I decided to branch out and gave different sub-species of it have flower heads, and others have vine hair or lily pads and various kinds of leaves. So this one’s an iris and with the irises in my backyard blooming, it’s become a bit of a spring tradition to use one as reference in redrawing it as a Shiidian~ She’s also sort of become a theoretical character. Not sure where she fits into the scheme of things but she feels like a model to me. But with Shiido’s race being enslaved I’m not sure what that means for her. Different galaxy? Media conspiracy? The plot thickens… XD;

JuneFae #1 - Bubble Faerie

Welp! Knocked that one out of the park if I do say so myself. XD; Eh... well anyways JuneFae #1 is done! I just... really like the faerie aesthetic so this monthly challenge was perfect. So refreshing after a hard day at work too. =w=; Ahhh... Couldn’t have asked for a better monthly challenge! I had just been thinking today ‘man, I missed Mermay pretty much because of my job, I wonder if tumblr or somewhere’s got a monthly challenge for June? Well, make one somebody! Maybe I’ll go google searching for it when I get home...’ Didn’t have to look further than my dash though, woo! Came when I wasn’t even expecting it. XD; Didn’t even go looking for it and there it was! Aaaaah this is gonna be great. XD; I may or may not go in order but I LOVE FAERIES so I’m excited to draw more of them! XD;

Mermay #02 - River Stingray + Jellyfish Mer I’m submitting this with way less work and effort than I intended but alas, I can’t stay up much longer tonight. ;_; So I’d been eyeing these river stingrays for a while wanting to turn one into a mer, but I never really had the chance to settle in and really focus on another Mermay pic until tonight, so here one is. Didn’t think I’d go for a jellyfish-ray at first, that just kinda happened. XD; makes me think of Ao and EJ’s mer-mixes so I guess I unintentionally hitched off that idea. XD; Anyways uh. Gosh I really want to do better on this one but will I ever get back to improving on it...? That is the question. So take a scrap for now I guess. Wish I coulda improved on it more but oh well... maybe someday... ewe;;
