This was a request from offsite. CC asked me to do Constant rambling with her character Helen and my character Ambrosa. Ambra (the short one) is a doctor down in the mine and rambles to her blind and deaf centaur assistant (that’s why she’s named Helen... get it? harhar) about everything and nothing via palming (and talking, because... why not? she likes to talk and it lets other people know what they’re talking about) while they walk down the bridges back to the village, or perhaps on their way to visit patients (though this time I think this is the return trip XD).

Ughghghm I never finished this. Helen’s anatomy is still a nightmare I couldn’t fix it. Not to mention Ambra’s, even if her anatomy is a little different from a humans, being a Scourge (up coming post on those guys) and all... But I haven’t really had the motivation to fix it so e3e I may as well post it up, nightmarish anatomy and all XP

About 10 days ago now I was reading the book of 1 Chronicles reviewing the life of King David, and I just got this really battleworn version of the commander of David’s army, Joab, in my head. He came out looking like this. God helped, we kinda collabed on the design on the bottom there as he gave me ideas for Joab’s design. I did some research on ancient Israeli armor too but ultimately I think it was God’s suggestions that really made this picture happen. So anyways yeah. Some oldish art, thought I’d post it up.

I’m Chelsea Beck (@chelseadrewthis) and I’m a strong believer in doodling. Here are a few of my warmups//cooldowns//workthroughs I’ve made since I started my NPR internship~ Being an illustrator means doing what you love for a living, but it also means adhering to an assignment-specific set of guidelines. Every now and then, its important to stretch your aching creative muscles. Try out a new style! Work out that idea you’ve been tossing around for a few days! Draw some dogs with glasses! Do something self-indulgent. It’ll help you build your style more than you know.

Nola and Keaton from the collaborative project/RP, Guardians (formerly called Flower Power), with CC (not on tumblr), @diamonddragonempress, @swordofpower, and myself! I bet Nola’s standing on her tippy toes, because they’re about the same height. Doesn’t stop Nola from boasting about how tall she’s getting, though. XD

So @thefandomingofmanythings​/@i-am-an-orange-rug​ posted this height comparison thingy of the cast for Jajing Over Jonder (what are we even calling this thing anymore?) aaaaand of course my eyes homed in on Jaje and Rug and I immediately thought ‘how are they going to kiss is Rug going to have to pick him up?’ So I drew it. #is shame
