Not exactly related to this post but am I the only one who gets ridiculously annoyed by "Americans" (as a South American I really hate this term when used to talk about US people sorry) who like to brag about how "amazing and advanced" their country is!? I mean, okay, US does have its good sides, but there's nothing to be bragging about?? Seriously, I can't understand why so many people dream to live there.

People make these jokes about Canadians "being way too polite", Australians "who can be eaten by a weird animal at any time", British people "having boring tea parties every day", but, honestly, I'd rather deal with someone who apologizes every two seconds or wild birds trying to eat my scalp or horrible evening tea-drinking sessions than to deal with an "American" who thinks they're too great for this world.

I get really confused when americans, when talking about universal health care are like ‘yeh but it’s not free sweaty :) :) you have to pay it through taxes :) so gotcha!!’

and I’m like ….???? That’s the whole point??? Everyone pays their fair share so that no one has to be turned away because they don’t have insurance??? And no one has to set up a Fundraiser page just so that they DONT DIE???? So people don’t put off going to the doctor because they’re scared of going bankrupt?? Because healthcare is a RIGHT and should be free at the point of access?!?
