The slightly cold breeze comes from the opened window, comfortable enough to balance the hotness in Jimin’s bedroom. His cheek is pressed against his pillow while his plump lips are puckered. His light blond hair is falling to his face, covering mostly his eyes but he doesn’t mind – not when he is deeply asleep, a soft puffs of breath leaves his mouth. His whole body aches with tiredness and strong need of sleep, which he welcomed with opened arms. He fell asleep as soon as his head hit the pillow and his body is wrapped around the thin sheet, which he managed to kick off while sleeping, due to hotness in the room. He is about to mindlessly turn around, to change his position since his neck starts to hurt from the twisted position, just to be woken up by soft cries from the other room. He probably should snap his eyes open, but he can’t, instead he slowly opens them with his head aching. He checks the time on his phone, the bright screen blinding him for a second before his eyes adjust to the brightness. 2:04am. He slept for two hours, his body and mind still tired. With a deep sigh, ignoring the headache, he forces his body from the comfort of his double bed. 

His bare feet slowly pad against the wooden floor to the door from his bedroom, which he opens just to be met with faint lighting coming from the lamp in the living room. He sees the grey blanket slouched on his couch and a cup of something on the coffee table. The cries are slowing down but can be still heard, so Jimin picks up his pace and enters the smaller room right beside his. The sight he sees warms and shakes his heart at the same time.

There is you. The night lamp illuminates your figure, enough for him to see you. You’re standing in front of the crib with his baby wrapped in your arms, as you slowly hum into his daughter’s ear. You slightly rock her, cuddling yourself to her, the familiar scent of baby welcomes you. You love that smell.
