It wasn’t long after Yoongi left that Hyunwoo arrived.

Your brain has been swamped and wrecked with small thoughts and questions. It’s settled you into a terribly annoyed mindset which you realize doesn’t look quite great for a first date.

Sitting in Hyunwoo’s maroon Maserati, you can only coast your fingers over your ever heating neck.

When you lower the window, Hyunwoo takes it upon himself to turn on the air conditioning as well.

“Do you not want to do this?” Hyunwoo inquires softly when he stops at a red light.

Your head snaps to his, pulling your eyes away from the bountiful trees in your sights.

“No, I do! I really do! I’m so sorry.” you gasp, leaning over and pressing your hand to his knee.

He gives you a gentle smile, one that doesn’t really seem as if he believes you. “You just seem… a little out of it is all.”

There’s almost this cruel smirk of satisfaction the next morning when you wake up in Yoongi’s bed.

It’s not because you finally broke down a bit of the iron plated wall the drug lord keeps around his heart.

No.

It’s the fact that for once you’re not hungover. You’re not queasy. You’re not even the slightest bit tired.

Yoongi on the other hand is throwing up like a mad man.

It’s actually what woke you up.

“God fucking dammit. I swear to fuh-”

His hoarse voice is cut off by more heaving and you can only snort and stare up at the high ceilings above his bed.

When he admitted to you last night that he was going to try – he’s going to crack his shell… It blew you away.

All of your fantasies seem just that more promising…

Maybe something wonderful will come from it.

“Jimin is so dead,” the drug lord whines.

You can only giggle, shaking your head at the complete absurdity of it.

When the handsome man lays back, his head peeking out of the bathroom doorway, his eyes find yours.

“Oh God,” he cries out, covering his eyes with his arm.

His black hair is sweat sheened and matted down to his forehead, his complexion is just a bit too pale for the land of the living.

“You look great,” you comment, sitting up and leaning against his headboard.

thank u all so much for taking the time to read tough, for showing excitement for the chapters every time i post them!

earlier, i was in the process of writing chapter 8 but i took some time off writing to reread the entire book, the chapters i have already written and have yet to publish. after asking the few ao3 writers i know and from the very long comment i got from a helpful anon that listed a few tips to improve my writing, I’ve decided to rewrite the whole series altogether.

i appreciate the constructive feedback you all give me to help with my writing, yes i am planning on finding a beta reader but right now it’s just me 😅 all your words are very much helpful as i am now in the middle of rewriting the au again, though yeah this will set me back a bit with all the ideas i have in my head, i know that the perfect book does not write itself over night. I’ve realized i lack a lot as a competent writer, and that i have so much to work on and to improve!

I will be keeping the chapters already posted as is. I’ll post the rewritten chapters in another link as it is going to be a whole rewrite. the title will be kept the same, however a little bit of the plot and some key informations are subject to change!

on that note, remember people are sensitive too and read everything you submit. i appreciate constructive criticism but i can definitely tell when disrespect is disguised as criticism. i am not just a writer, i am also a person that feels. please be kinder to each other!

It was difficult to fall asleep last night, not just for you but for the drug lord in the opposite room.

At least you had the comfort of Holly, the large dog wouldn’t leave your side for a second. He was like a body pillow you never knew you needed.

You know the real reason why you couldn’t sleep last night – why you stared at the ornate brass artwork on the walls for hours on end.

It was all because of him. Because of how soft and sensual his lips felt on your skin.

Even now, as you stare at the morning sun beginning to rise – you can feel his grip on your hip. You can remember his warm breath coasting over your neck and shoulder.

You tossed and turned for hours, seemingly embarrassed at how absolutely weak you became before him. You’ve never had to actually peel your underwear off before, that’s what a large effect he had on you.

You don’t even want to get out of bed, you want to just be swallowed by it in hopes that you’d never have to experience something so embarrassing again. But nothing is ever that simple.
