Cats the Musical - London Swings

There are, in total, seven Cats who were not part of the first cast - six swings, and a walking cover who played Deuteronomy and Asparagus. While the Walking Cover usually appears in photos in the basic costume of one of those two roles, the three male and free female swings each had their own costumes. 

The reason for this was that the London production cast strictly to height - adults were tall, the kittens were short.  When a short swing needed to cover a tall role, they would wear their own swing costume rather than needing multiple costumes.  However not all the swings appear in all the cast photos.

I have given the Swings nicknames, along the lines of how you would name a litter of kittens with silly names so as not to become too attached.

The three female Swings are fairly easy to identify.

* NBQ - also known as Greycat.  She is smooth, paler but similar to Cassandra.  Sometimes she is more silver, other times a richer gold/tan colour.  She is a tall swing.

* AJ - Almost Jemima.  She appears somewhat like a half-painted Jemima, or similar to Carbucketty. AJ seems to be a short swing.

* Tabbygirl.  She seems to be very similar to Victor, having a white bib over a dark base.  She is a short swing but gives the impression of being a mature cat.

The three males are much harder to identify, and possibly elements of the costumes were swapped around, with the wigs sometimes appearing on different unitards. 

* Calico - sometimes appearing as a male Etcetera, a white bib with slim stripes on his sides.  His wig is mostly white, with ginger and black spots.

* Patches - often looking similar to Admetus, but a short swing.  He has distinctive makeup with patches over each eye.

* Caramel - a tall swing, with a unitard that often features rich caramel colours, however he also appears pale, lightly coloured like Admetus.  His wig is notably paler than his unitard.

Both Patches and Caramel can appear interchangable, with the wig designs (mainly pale and patched, or evenly distributed stripes) appearing with both paler and darker costumes, and seeming to be worn by both short and tall swings.  And in earlier years, characters such as Admetus and Victor can also appear very similar and hard to tell apart.
