A kings best friend

Danny had been crowned as king a few years ago, his human half left in the dust, only coming out when he visits his human friends, even then a few traits stuck around. The white hair started to come in few strands turning to chunks, eyes tinted with greens and incisors slowly morphing to fangs over the years.

He often found himself playing with his feeble subjects, having turned to what he despised, his obsessions urges quelled by the crown and rings hold on his sanity.

Dannys canine friends were the last ghostly ones that stuck around after everything that has happened, a scythe his new weapon of choice as well, Ellie managed to be spared from his fits of rage that grew in consistency as the years passed.

Cujo was his best friend now, an ever loyal dog, a once adorable canine now a deformed hellhound that knew only loyalty to his master and hunger that prevented him from seeing straight.

"Another uneventful day." The king sighed as he absentmindedly ran a hand through Cujos fur before taking a seat in the throne, hand pressed to one of his palms as he lounged, cape draped over his shoulders bunching up.

"What happened Cujo?" He asked, patting the spot beside him, the dog crawling over and resting his head beside Dannys lap allowing the specter to pet his dog, giving no more than light hearted pats on the head and running his fingers through the green fur, no real emotion behind his actions.

Cujo didn't care anymore, he may be a lower ectoplasmic entity, but he would take what little recognition he had as one of the kings two personal hellhounds.

Wulf was the other hellhound, his already contorted form morphed to a much more demonic one, he was never allowed to set foot in the inner layers of Dannys base, still allowed in the kings quarters under very few circumstances.

"How come nothing is fun anymore?" The king questioned, leaning over to try and make eye contact with his dog, finding twisted sympathy in the creatures crimson eyes.

Danny frowned a bit at the look in his dogs eyes before scooting over on his throne and patting on the velvety seat, Cujo placed a paw on the fabric, fearing what may happen if set foot any further. Danny patted the seat again, Cujo pulling his entire body up, Danny huddling in the sea of green fur, leaving the cape and the crown behind him, tossing them to the ground as he searched for comfort he didn't know he needed.

He found himself wiping tears from his eyes and cuddled up in the sea of Cujos near bioluminescent green fur, comforting beyond what he knew before now, a hug from Jazz could do nothing to compare to being lost in a dogs soft fur.

"I messed up again, didn't I?"
