He is exactly right, children should not be humiliated by school lunch debt.

I am pleased to announce the new
Inclusive Acceptance and Safe Space Symbol!
The infinity symbol represents neurodivergencies such as autism, adhd, and many more, acceptance, accommodation, and inclusion for people often forgotten or ignored.
The rainbow colors represent the LGBTQIA+ community in its entirety, inclusion and acceptance for all.
The outer border represents the disabled community, a promise for acceptance and accommodation for any who need it.
The left inner colors represent people with dissociative disorders, acceptance and welcome for stigmatized disorders/neurodivergencies.
The right inner colors represent the POC community, acceptance for people of all color, race, background, culture, and ethnicity.

We ask your questions so you don’t have to! Submit your questions to have them posted anonymously as polls.
Do you have a disability?
Are you willing to complete a survey?
If so, I'd really love your help!
I'm conducting a survey about disability, accessibility, and community involvement for a presentation I'm doing next week.
The responses are anonymous, but I would be using the percentages/data in my project.
I want to know how businesses can better accommodate disabled people. I want to know where you feel the safest and most supported in your community. I want to know what your community is doing well and what they can work on.
If this sounds like something you'd be interested in, please fill out the survey!!
(Note: The survey has a lot of academic/professional language. If you would like help to understand or clarify any questions, please just send me a private message!)

Guys 2014 is in two months

A question I get asked a lot while working at a public library is "how do you deal with homeless people?"
And the answer is, we don't.
The unhoused people who come here seeking refuge 99% of the time understand that they will be kicked out if they misbehave.
The people you have to watch out for are Jessica, who only came because the kid she didn't want had to visit for a homework assignment and she just *needs* to yell at her child for asking to borrow two books or stay an extra five minutes, or Michael, who came in to look at porn on our computers for whatever fucking reason, or Karen who just wanted to come by to throw a fit that the particular book she wanted was checked out and harrass our staff about our collection being too limited.
99% of the time, the people we need to ban are middle to upper-middle class white people while the homeless and mentally ill/disabled people mind their own damn business and are honestly some of the best patrons we have.

with the expansion of work-from-home, I think it would be appropriate and delightful if OSHA started investigating landlords for providing unsafe working conditions. "there's no carbon monoxide detector in this home office (bedroom). The paint in this home office (living room) contains illegal levels of lead. This home office (tiny studio apartment) contains so many safety violations we are shutting down the entire business (rent collecting) until things are up to code."

ok but holy fuck look at this little thing
