Ironwood: *Watching a battle take place*
Winter: General, perhaps you should take cover.
Ironwood: Don't be ridiculous, they couldn't hit an elephant at this range.
At that exact moment a bullet hits Ironwood in the head and harmlessly falls to the ground.
Ironwood: I stand corrected, they couldn't hit an elephant at this range twice.

Rules in a Street Fight
Contrary to popular belief, there are rules to a street fight.
The question is whether both parties are agreed as to what the rules are.
Have you ever been with a woman lmfaoo
What is a woman?
Deadpool is known for being disabled (physically and mentally), and I feel like the recent comics are really good for showing the way he’s treated because of it. In Deadpool’s Secret Secret Wars, he temporarily becomes “beautiful” again, and Wasp ends up falling for him. They sleep together once, and that’s it. Later on ALL of the Avengers are killed, and Deadpool goes to Zsaji for help, because she’s the only person he knows that cares about him. Someone who loved him even when he was “ugly”, even if she didn’t want to date him. Because of them the Avengers are brought back to life, but Zsaji dies in the process, and Deadpool’s appearance returns to normal. Deadpool is blamed for her death and not thanked, and Wasp is so disgusted by his appearance that not only does she refuse to look at him, she erases him from the memories of everyone on Battleworld.
In MORE recent comics, Deadpool was recruited into the Avengers. For most fans it’s common knowledge for most of his run time, he desperately wanted to be an Avenger, but would always be refused. The reasoning for this was usually that he was “Too violent, a murderer, crazy”. Keep in mind Wolverine, Black Widow, X-23, Sabertooth, Bucky Barnes, Moon Knight, and other terrible people were permitted to join The Avengers.
So, he finally got in. Why am I discussing it? He got in specifically as a scapegoat/assassin for Captain America. Something worth noting also, is that Steve Rogers was grooming Deadpool for this BEFORE becoming Stevil Rogers. Stevil (and possibly Steve) had Deadpool assassinate several people, and once he was confirmed Hydra, anyone who posed any threat to his plans. This includes (spoilers for like the last year of comics) Agent Phil Coulson, and later, Agent Emily Preston, the adopted mother of his daughter, and perhaps best friend.
During Secret Empire, Deadpool is tasked with capturing (and killing if needed), all resistance members. He knows that Cap is evil here, but he also knows he has a daughter to take care of who is both Latin American, and a Mutant, in what is basically Neo-Nazi America. So he does what he has to, in the intentionally worst way possible. He purposefully captures the worst resistance members, even presumably paying people to be captured, while reporting false information to Hydra Command. Eventually Deadpool tracks down the whereabouts of Blackout, who created eternal darkness over NYC, and freely gives the information to Mariah Hill. She repays him by telling him not to even try to help the resistance, kills him, then makes sure he doesn’t help them, and brands him as one of the worst criminals of the event, and soon becomes the most wanted man alive. Keep in mind actual traitors and villains didn’t receive this harsh a punishment, and some were even allowed to walk free.
As Deadpool himself points out to Captain America (the good one), and both Hawkeyes, the only reason all this happened to him is because it was him. It was because he’s mentally ill, and unlike Moon Knight, he is disfigured and can’t rely on his looks. He specifically says that if it was anyone else, even Black Widow (you know, the mass murderer/assassin), they would have forgiven him and welcomed him back. Both Cap and Hill try to justify their actions and label Deadpool as the bad guy, even as evidence continues to show up justifying he did what he had to.
If Deadpool refused to kill Coulson, he would have been locked away and everything would have been worse. If He had actually helped Hydra, everyone would either be dead or defeated. If he didn’t give that info to Hill, same thing. But because it’s him, the mentally ill scapegoat, they have to ensure he’s punished, while the rest, even those who did little to nothing, are treated like heroes. Then there’s the fact Cap and Hill both know this, and were given Preston’s body to rebuild by Deadpool himself, yet he’s still hunted as a murderer even as he shows them he won’t kill them (not villains), they still act like he’s going to.
Literally any other character would have been treated better. Taskmaster directly helped conquer the world at least twice, Secret Empire and Dark Reign, yet suffered no real repercussions. Captain America is still revered as a god and most people trust him. Even the members of the Avengers the public didn’t know were replaced/possessed/corrupted, were simply let off the hook. Hell, Black Panther straight up refused to help anyone and almost caused the resistance to fall yet was welcomed with open arms afterwards.
Have you figured out why? Why it is that Deadpool is treated so terribly? Because it ain’t the murder.
The RWBY fandoms treatment of Adam makes me very uncomfortable
This is very long sorry I was rambling <3
There’s something really odd about the dedication RWBY fans have to hating Adam. So much so that they’ll admit the writing of the WF is racist but refuse to admit that Adam a member of the white fang also suffered from that racist writing.
There’s this weird dedication to pretending there are no problems with the choices made around Adams character and vilifying literally everyone who tries to talk about it, for the sake of continuing to blindly hate him. The fandom seems to struggle with understanding that the show is fictional and everything that happens in it is a direct choice of its writers. Y’all talk about Adam like he is a real person who has personally offended you irl. Just a huge lack of media literacy tbh.
A white man wrote a civil rights group, that he admittedly based off the black panthers, as the generic bad guys of his shitty anime knockoff and made a central theme of the show the idea that fighting against your oppression violently makes you just as bad if not worse than your oppressors. Then he mad the leader of that group a generic abusive meanie bad guy. Who essentially is what white supremacists think civil rights activist are all the way down to being the fictional equivalent of a black supremacist.
When there was backlash to this he made a knockoff Malcom X and then killed her in her only scene and made a character whose ideology is basically sit down and lick the feet of your oppressors and had the audacity to say he was based off of MLK. How the fuck do you base a character off of somebody without doing basic research on them because contrary to what people seem to believe MLK was not a doormat and this is a conversation for a different day but I’m sick and tired of his memory being weaponised against black people.
What’s worse is that Adam is the only character portrayed as actually doing something to fight racism. Ghira’s faction is only ever seen fighting against other groups. I don’t know if y’all know this but that’s not how the civil rights movement worked. Most of the leaders didn’t agree on methods but they coexisted because the main goal was the liberation of black people and they knew they had to coexist. MLK did not go around calling the cops on revolutionaries he disagreed with.
The problems with Adam and the WF are not separate and cannot be. Most of what’s wrong with the Faunus plot line is the way the show handles Adam. The choices made with his writing cannot be separated from those they made with the WF overall. Adams choice to kill his attackers to keep himself and other Faunus safe, from people literally trying to kill them, is treated the way it is because of the stance they took with WFs writing. When Adam kills a human supremacist trying to kill Ghira you’re supposed to see it as an extreme and the beginning of his turn to evil. Adam isn’t a real person every describe he makes is informed by the white writers of the show. Why would the bias they displayed writing the WF apply to him?
Some of you have been abused and relate to Blake in that sense, a lot of you seem to be projecting your abusers onto Adam. I’m sorry you went through that but you are not excused from buying into racist rhetoric. It’s incredibly uncomfortable as a black person to watch people talk about how “healing” it was for them to watch a civil rights leader admittedly inspired by black people slapped around and killed by two white women. It is anger inducing to watch fans celebrate “queer representation” dancing on the corpse of a monumental disrespect to black people and our history.
RWBY doesn’t even handle abuse well tbh and most of the queer rep is not that great, there are many shows that do it so much better, there is actually no excuse for hanging on to the black people are bad for fighting against racism show.
Someone's trying to follow me and my mom home, Jesus Christ this is terrifying
