A rant about furries

I’ve said a million times and I’ll say it again, Furries are fucking cool.

I knew a girl in high school that only ever drew furry stuff

And I didn’t know what a furry was at the time

All I knew

Was that she was fucking cool and her art was so unique and awesome

So excuse me if it annoys the fuck out of me

That people always use the word furry in a derogatory way

Fuck man

It’s a Stupid stigma

They get so much shit for literally nothing

Making so many people feel shitty about their interests

A lot of fucking kids that are gonna internalize the idea that their interest is weird and cringe and inherently kinky

In a way that makes it sound like that’s the worst thing in the world

They shouldn’t have to just learn to be okay with that

I hate that a lot of furries are just used to it

That’s fucked up man

And the whole Stupid stigmatization is based off of people being “horny for animals”?????

O k a y.

Only some furries sexualizing their whole entire deal, and even if they are who the fuck are they hurting

Why can’t people just let people be weird/pos

It’s not fucking zoophilia bestie

It’s people putting human characteristics

On. Fictional. Animals.

Let them do their cool things

The entire concept of Anthropomorphized animals is so fucking cool

Character design that utilizes animal features is just so damn interesting to me

And people that love it so much to be that dedicated to it

To identify with it and call themselves furries

Fucking good for them that’s goddamn beautiful

And God if furry art can’t communicate something deep

Animals can show feelings,

Desires,

Differences,

They provide an aesthetic often untainted by human beauty standards

Maybe I don’t know what I’m talking about

But I just think that maybe

Anyone that judges people for being furries

And or says disparaging stuff about them

Can maybe go fuck themselves and mind their own business??

Been reading some Kelly Barnhill, and honestly? Not a fan. I just don’t like her writing thus far. It’s just not for me; it feels juvenile—transitional, and I can’t quite get past that. That said, I can blatantly ignore it given the aesthetic and themes found in her books are perfect for me. The characters, and settings, and ideas… Everything else is so wonderful, that I feel bad for not enjoying the writing style. The thing I most adore about her writing is the way she writes climaxes. With Kelly Barnhill, there is no tension, only dread, and that’s everything to me.
