Firtst reason is. Dean is literally Sam's dad.

My mom broke up with my dad when I was 6 and I stayed with my father and little brother. My dad had to work and sometimes travel into the state leaving us alone. So every single day after school. I was the one taking care of him. The one to cook for him, read to him, tuck him in bed. And even if i was a kid myself I had to take care if him. I had to protect him. He got in trouble in school once because some kid was bullying him, and the boy ended up with a broken nose and I almost got expelled from the school. Now after all this year's. I still take care of him. Its not something that i can just turn off. I cant imagine the world without him. And if it did come down to it. I'd sell my soul to the devil a thousand times. But that doesn't mean i am in love with him! It means that in my eyes he is my kid. No matter if he is only 2 years younger than him. It had been written in my mind, it's who I am.
