DR1 Characters Cheering You Up (Pt. 2)

A/N: I know I said I wouldn’t make another one of these but like I’m a liar so. Also @bumblebees-and-wildflowers​ wanted one with some of their comfort characters so. I promise I’ll get to requests after this. Enjoy!

Makoto

Makoto is really good at cheering people up, he’s a really positive person so it just makes sense

As soon as you started to feel down, you left your dorm and wandered over to his

“Makoto?” You hate that your voice had started to shake

“Hey, I was just setting up a movie to watch, you want to come in and watch with me?”

One step into his room, you could tell he hadn’t been about to set a movie up at all

He lied so you wouldn’t feel bad about taking up his time

You don’t say anything about it and join him in sitting

He pulled out a bag of snacks

“They’re from home! Help yourself, (Y/n)!”

The two of you sat for hours, laughing and making dumb jokes

Your throat was sore by the end of the night, a smile splitting your face

You couldn’t even remember why you’d been upset in the first place

(If it’s a weekend the two of you turn it into a sleepover)

(Dancing around the dorm room hyped on sugar with Makoto at 1am)

Hina

Like Makoto, Hina is really good at cheering you up

She notices you’re feeling down almost immediately, while the two of you are standing have a conversation

“(Y/n)! Are you okay!?”

You’re slightly taken aback by her question, you were having an off day but you didn’t think anybody else had noticed

“I’m fine, Hina, it’s just been a long day…”

She immediately drags you swimming with her (”It’ll make you feel better!”)

Then the two of you go out and grab donuts

You have to fight the urge to tell her just because these things cheer her up, doesn’t mean they work on everyone

Her dedication to cheering you up, even if you’re not a huge fan of the actual activities warms your heart

At least she cares enough to try

“So what do you think, (Y/n)? Are you feeling better?”

You grinned at her

“Definitely.”

Mondo

He finds you crying somewhere on the campus

At first, he isn’t sure what to do

The two of you have never been particularly close and he isn’t good when people are crying

He contemplates turning around and pretending he didn’t see you

“W- What’s wrong with ya?”

He winces slightly at the harsh question, but his words are enough to startle you into noticing him

This is the worst day of your life, not only are you crying in public, but the Ultimate Biker Gang Leader had seen you crying 

He stares at you clearly expecting an answer

“I… I don’t know., you cringe slightly at the stupid answer and he seems to consider this

“Is there anythin’ I can do to make ya feel better?”

You shrug and he once again seems to consider this

He gets up and you’re sure he’s going to leave you to your misery, when something heavy drapes over your shoulders

Your head shoots up, looking at the Crazy Diamond jacket draped over your shoulders

“My brother used ta do it for me and it cheered me up…” he shrugs sheepishly

You smile slightly

“Thank you, Owada.”

Sakura

“I’m going to need to skip training today, Sakura. My apologies…”

“Is something wrong, (Y/n)?”

“No, no! Nothing for you to worry about, I’m just not feeling great and need some alone time.”

She grants you the reprieve from your usual training session and you feel your whole body relax

The last thing you want is for your friend to think you’re ditching her on purpose

You settle into your bed, closing your eyes to take a nap

A knock on your dorm door, snaps you out of your nap a few hours later

You groggily answer the door, surprised to see Sakura standing there with a tray of food, water and protein

“You skipped lunch, so I thought I’d bring it to you,” she explains

Your eyes tear up

No one’s done something this nice for you in a while and it feels weird to be on the receiving end of such generosity

“Thank you, Sakura. Would you like to come in?”

She accepts your offer and the two of you sit

You enjoy your meal and she keeps you company with small idle chitchat

She probably didn’t realize how much you appreciated what she’d done for you, but that was okay

You’d return the favour when she wasn’t doing so good

Byakuya

When you first come to him and tell him you’re upset, his first response is to ask if you want him to buy you something to cheer you up

You huff and tell him “money can’t buy you happiness”

He tries to argue but you cut him off, telling him that all you want is to spend some time with him to keep your mind off what’s bothering you

He doesn’t know what that means, what you want him to do

“Nothing, I want you to do nothing. Just keep reading.”

You settle yourself on your bed as he stares at you skeptically, before going back to reading his book

There’s a slight pause

He looks back up

“Do you want me to read to you?”

“Now you’re getting it,” you look up at him expectantly

He swallows and begins to read, his voice filling your head, shaking away all the negative thoughts that’d been stuck there

You watch him read, focused on the words, ignoring everything around him

“How was that?” he asks after a while, looking up

You’re passed out on his dorm room bed

He rolls his eyes, turning back to his book to resume reading on his own

Would curse in surprise if his s/o hugged him out of no where.

But would actually relax once he notices that it’s just them.

Prepare for cuddles, you cannot escape now-

Sen Kaibara:

Could hear you coming at him from behind so he prepares for impact.

Once your arms are around his waist, he likes to joke with you by leaning all his weight on you.

But after a bit, he will turn to you and give you a proper hug.

And a forehead kiss. Before resting his arms over your shoulders.

Togaru Kamakiri:

Do you have a death wish? You do not surprise him with hugs out in public. Not a very big fan of PDA.

But if you two are in private, he actually really likes hugs from you.

Just Not around others. Only when you two are alone does he like them.

Give this angry boy some love, because he secretly really enjoys your hugs when around others. He’s just too stubborn to admit it.

Shihai Kuroiro:

Finds that giving or receiving hugs from his s/o really makes him feel comfortable, and relaxed.

You cannot tell me that he would love to give hugs to first thing in the morning and last thing at night.

Honestly I find him as a cuddle bug. Will hold you in his arms if he has the chance.

So getting surprise hugs from you really makes him happy.

Itsuka Kendo:

Would love hugs from her s/o! She would be happy to receive, and give hugs to them.

You cannot tell me otherwise that she would love swaying hugs.

You know the ones, where you hold your s/o’s waist and sway with them as if you were slow dancing?

Would also enlarge her hands so she could hold them in a better hug if their s/o was upset about something and just needs the comfort.

Yui Kodai:

Although it may not look like it, she adores getting hugs from her s/o.

Yes she still has that famous blank look on her face, but you can hear her give a soft ‘mm!’

And if you look close enough. You can see her lips twitch into an upward smile.

Honestly she prefers receiving the hugs rather than give.

Kinoko Komori:

A little nervous at first, but she will relax and hug you back. She gives the best damn hugs ever.

She would be on equal grounds in giving and receiving hugs. But honestly she loves reviving them from you.

She loves you a lot, and she does get a little nervous showing her emotions.

But, just one hug can build her confidence and she’s swooning.

Ibara Shiozaki:

She believes hugs are good for stress relief and mending of the mind. So of course she could enjoy her s/o hugging her.

Would always be a big fan of giving hugs to you as well. She’s just like that.

But what makes her really happy is when you hug her if she has had a stressful day, or a bad one at that.

You both can hug, and mend yourselves after a long day of hard work.

Jurota Shishida:

Hugs are the best with him. You like to hug his arm and hide your face in his fur.

He finds this adorable. And he honestly likes to pick you up with his strength and hold you in his arms.

He will be an awesome cuddler, so normal hugs transform into cuddling sessions.

Also likes to give his s/o hugs if he notices that they are cold.

Nirengeki Shoda:

He tends to give soft hugs. You know the ones, If your feeling down, he will offer a hug for comfort.

But if his s/o gives him a hug, he will be a little embarrassed about it.

He’s just taken back, he loves your hugs. But if you hug him out of no where he will jump in surprise.

I honestly feel he might be touch starved. So he would love to give more hugs to his s/o.

Pony Tsunotori:

Hugging and cuddling sessions while watching anime. That’s where she likes to give her most hugs.

But if you two are in public, she likes to give side hugs from time to time.

Although, if she does get exited, she will start speaking English in excitement. But that just makes her more adorable.

She likes to give quick hugs, but they are full of love.

Kosei Tsuburaba:

I have a feeling he would give those kind of hugs that leave you breathless.

I’m talking bone crushing hugs just to mess with you, he has a little competitive drive, so he likes to feel like he gives the best hugs.

In which, yes, he totally does give good hugs. Just Not when he’s trying to squeeze the life out of you.

But when he isn’t trying to make your lungs give out. His gentle hugs are very sweet. He likes to leave a gentle kiss on your forehead after he pulls away.

Tetsutetsu Tetsutetsu:

He’s big in the hugging game. I have a feeling every time he sees his s/o he would rush over to give them a bear hug.

He would probably give the type of hug where he can lift you into his arms to show off his strong he is to impress you.

But he would also love hugs from his s/o just as much. He’s totally soft for them.

Would melt if his s/o hugs him from behind and lays their head on his back or shoulder. You’re Just too damn adorable!

Setsuna Tokage:

Loves hugs from her s/o. Will probably give more hugs out to them. And in return they would hug more.

While she is hugging you, I have a feeling she would talk about her day with you, and ask you about yours.

She would give those types of hugs where her hand would rest on your back and rub.

She wants you to feel comfortable in her arms. So she will try anything to make you feel nice.

Manga Fukidashi:

He’s very expressive. So I think he would be the type to give you those hugs you see In those cheesy romance movies.

Running at you with his arms open where you can jump into his arms and hug him back. Yeah, those hugs.

He’s a sucker for that stuff.

But if his s/o doesn’t like that stuff. He’ll calm down for them. He just really wants to show people that he really loves you.

Juzo Honenuki:

He likes long, sweet hugs. Where you both could just hold each other for long periods of time.

Sometimes these hugs grow into cuddling sessions. He does mind this one bit.

I have a feeling he likes the types of hugs where he can rest his head on your shoulder. And vice versa.

Prepare for forehead kisses too.

Kojiro Bondo:

This man is a lovable giant. So of course he would love hugs from his s/o. He’ll eat that stuff up.

Loves to give hugs rather than receive, but he still loves it either way.

He will be the type to just engulf you with his body and snuggle into your neck.

Just too adorable for his own good.

Neito Monoma:

He will be smug about it. He will try and play it off like you need him.

“Oh? You want a hug from me? Of course you do. I’m the best boyfriend after all~”

But if this results in you breaking the embrace he will scramble to hug you again.

Hides his face in your hair and mumbles a quick ‘sorry’ before giving you a gentle squeeze.

Reiko Yanagi:

Very timid, so you will have to be the person to engage the hugging.

If you do, she will lean into you, although she wouldn’t wrap her arms around you. More like, melt in your arms.

So hugging would often be her leaning on you as you hold her.

She really loves hugging from her s/o. And further down the line of your relationship she will give the hugs too.

Hiryu Rin:

I have a feeling he would give hugs from behind. Basically telling his s/o that he has their back when they need him the most

So This normally results in his head laying on their shoulder or atop their head.

He likes to hug them when they are either cooking or busy with something.

And so, it isn’t uncommon for Rin to hug his s/o and then tell them about his day.

Togaru kamakiri X short reader

Today togaru was walking back to his after after training with testutestu and seen his lover standing on some books.

He was confused so he walked over there before they could get hurt. "Hey bee what are you doing" togaru said while behind them. When they turned around they quickly planted a small peck on one of his horns "that" they said and hopped off of the books and walked away smiling.

He just stayed there for a second before laughing a bit thinking about his goofy lover.

The next day he was helping kendo cook by cutting some vegetables. When he finished cutting some onions y/n came up to him a stepped on a step stool so their a little taller than him and kissed his tears away. Togaru  returned the kiss and went back to cutting vegetables with a small smile. Without him realizing kendo had taken a picture of that moment.

When it hit Saturday he was heading down the stairs to go the gym with testutestu and was stopped to when he felt a small tap on his shoulder. "Yes bee?" He said after turning around. He was a bit shocked when y/n kissed him. "Don't over exercise like last time, okay" y/n said with worry. "I'll try but I might do it again" and after he said that he kissed his lover goodbye and left.

When togaru left tokage came from behind y/n. "So when did you guys become a thing" tokage said with a small smirk "oh will about a month or two ago. Why?" "Oh will I guess I haven't noticed" tokage then looked at y/n and smiled "you guys are cute together" she looked at y/n smiling face "aw thanks sestu" y/n said and tokage chuckled a bit "yeah welp i'm got to go I told Reiko I would help pick out a movie for tonight, bye y/n" and with that she left.

Later when testutestu and togaru got back they looked really tired so they went to there rooms. When togaru was walking to his room he decided to go to y/n's instead. He knocked a couple of times before hears a 'come in' and went inside . "Huh, oh hey kiri" y/n said as togaru layed down next to them and hugged y/n and soon fell asleep.

(Y/N): I don’t know if the sale rack has anything worth buying.

(Y/N): [holds up a t-shirt that says “fancy bitch”] Oh, spoke too soon!

Kirumi: Put that back. I’m the fancy bitch here.
