random Lightning Thief Musical things i like to talk about a lot:

The instrumentals for Tree On The Hill (Thalia's song) are extremely similar to Green Day's Good Riddance (Time Of Your Life).

Percy's line in The Campfire Song of joking that if he sang it'd "probably cause an avalanche" is a reference to a line in The Last Olympian, when Nico tells Percy they need music to open the path to the Underworld and Percy makes the same comment.

The nickname affectionately given to Kristin Stokes' Annabeth is "Poodlebeth" because of the way she curled her hair for the shows and i think that's fun and cute and the fandom never references it ever which is sad.

When i first listened to the album before I saw the show I thought My Grand Plan took place during the Zoo Truck Scene and not Medusa's Garden and i still think about that a lot and want to make an animatic about it.

I saw the show live twice and one of the times during Put You In Your Place when Annabeth and Clarisse have their little face-off, Clarisse just leaned forward all the way and gave Annabeth a little kiss on the lips before continuing with the rest of the song.

Can we, as a collective fandom, force rick riordan to keep percy and annabeths gray streaks for the entire show after titans curse cause im still upset that they lost them in the books

forgot to mention one of my absolute favorite small details in "chalice of the gods" and it's the fact that annabeth never makes blue food because she sees it as "something sacred" between percy and sally.

like not only does this show how well annabeth knows percy and sally, but also, we don't know too much about how annabeth and percy's first month or so as an actual couple went, from her making him a blue cupcake for his 16th birthday to recognizing the blue food as something not to be touched because she now knows the history behind the blue food.

just percy and annabeth understanding each other's pasts and traumas on a level that no one else can ever dream to touch.

anyone else notice that there was no physical description of Annabeth, specifically her hair, in Chalice of the Gods?

one of Rick’s favorite thing to do every time Annabeth is in a story is talk about her curly blond hair, but in Chalice it isn’t mentioned once, and this is absolutely because of Leah’s casting in the show. Leah embodies the spirit of Annabeth as a character and isn’t defined by the description Rick came up with almost 20 years ago
