For the one where Alastor can't talk after his microphone breaks:

Once everyone finds out that Alastor's (hopefully temporarily) mute, Charlie starts putting together a workshop for everyone to learn sign language, but for the time being, Alastor's getting by with a notebook and some pre-prepared note cards for more common responses.

The first card he writes says 'fuck you' and he just flashes it at Lucifer immediately every time they cross paths. He's still salty about Lucifer outing him.

Niffty keeps slipping some of her own cards into the stack which say things like 'I love you, Niffty' or 'Niffty's my favorite.' Alastor gleefully flashes these cards at inappropriate moments as though he isn't perfectly aware of her antics.

With Husk though, it's a bit different because he doesn't seem to need the notebook or the cards. Somehow or other, any time Alastor would need to communicate for Husk for any reason, Husk just seems able to pick up on whatever Alastor wants from him without words. It's both impressive and a slight bit concerning.

Going into depth on why I chose what I chose...

I decided to give them all animal attributes for multiple reasons.

Vox is a cat because of personal headcanon. He acts a lot like a cat and has relatively clear attributes of one that the fandom grabbed and clung onto. I thought of him as a cat way before the catvox and catlastor stuff though @~@

Alastor is mainly based on a deer, for obvious reasons, that's what he is in canon, that much is common knowledge. But I also decided to give him a few dog attributes (the paws and partly excessive fur) because of his death. He's much more deer than dog though, obviously.

Charlie is based on goats and dolls. While she was meant to be a porcelain doll I gave her more wooden looking markings to communicate that idea better! Her being a goat is mostly because of the fanon based on the fact she has hooves.

Lucifer is based on a shit ton of things, but mainly rams, snakes, and ducks, for obvious reasons. He also has attributes of other animals that are much more subtle (namely cockatiels, sheep, and lizards)

The parallels also between Vox and Alastor!!

-Slit pupils that retract and dilate

-Paws on hands

-Fluffs!! (Vox's is very minor, really only little tufts on the shoulders and chest)

Also pointing out the cat and dog parallel. Cats and dogs are known to be rivals, but heres the thing. A tiger could kill a chihuahua no shot, but a doberman could devour a housecat. But in the end they're still depicted as friends in some popular media!! Ex best friends symbolism!!!! woohooo!!!! ^o^

❤ Alastor is oblivious as hell. Coming from the 1900s, he probably doesn't even realize that his politeness usually comes off as flirting. ❤ TV-head Vox though is more informed thanks to his close connection with the media and technology. Vox is unaware of Alastor's background though. Alastor's charming demeanor is natural, being radio-host while he was alive. Al's politeness is used to deceive the people around him, making them turn a blind eye. ❤ Vox, being none the wiser, took this politeness as a hint at a possible relationship, and this spontaneous big-headed a** thought it would be a good idea to ask Al to "join his team". Bad news, The Radio Demon doesn't have time for such trivial matters. ❤ Alastor isn't the person to grasp the entire concept of emotions, specifically love/affection. He knows hate, anger, fear, most of the negative ones because that's what he's good at controlling. Terrorizing sinners, making them feel helpless, hopeless and afraid. ❤ Vox was trying to win him over. Being friends, likely allies in the past, Alastor's rejection was like a stab in the back. His love was unrequited, he was a fool to believe Alastor - a wickedly charismatic yet a ruthless killer, would have enough emotional capacity for a relationship whilst continuing his terror in hell. ❤ Alastor doesn't know what those emotions mean. He assumed Vox would just brush it off and move on, not turn into a full on arch-nemesis. Furthermore, Alastor is a master-manipulator. He could just be using Vox all along, and we all know how love can blind a person. ❤ Vox needs craves attention, company and closure. Alastor leaving him, being absolutely humiliated by someone he thought he could trust, was where he fell into his lowest. After that, Vox just snapped. ❤ Vox picked a fight where he almost lost. He was fighting to pay back for the damage it caused. He was fighting for his pride, to give Alastor that same feeling of humiliation he had felt. ❤ It was still unclear who won or lost. If Vox had won, that should explain why Alastor disappeared for 7 years, maybe to recover. If Alastor had won, this just gives another reason for The TV Demon to loathe him with his heart and soul. ❤ And thats mistle's version of one-sided radiostatic.
