You were not excited about this “healthy” little camping trip that your parents planned up, especially when you heard that the Jeon family was tagging along. You didn’t want to go on this trip if it wasn’t obvious enough, Your mother wanted to get you and Jungkook in some kind of relationship of sorts but no way in hell were you ever going to date some jerk like Jungkook. You always tried to become acquainted with Jungkook but he continuously blew you off. You sighed laying down on your bed to call up your best friend Park Jimin.

He answered with “What?” You could hear something shuffling in the background “Oops, did I catch you at a bad time?” You said grinning “Nah, I was just scrolling on the internet” He responds and you hum “So what did your mom say?” He asks and you groan “I have to go to the camping trip with the Jeon family” You grumbled as Jimin chuckled “C'mon I’m sure it’s not going to be that bad” You laugh dryly “Well obviously you think that because Jungkook is not a complete asshole to you.” You say as your mom yells at you at hurry up “Shoot I got to go” You say your goodbyes to Jimin and hang up. Sighing you walk over to your closet and grab a backpack and fill it with necessities. After you finished you walked downstairs to see only Jungkook and your mother. “Um, where is everyone else?” You ask looking at your mother as she smiles “Didn’t I tell you, sweetie? A cough comes from next to you as you listen to the tale of Hephaestus and you roll your eyes once more before putting your hand underneath your chin. You jot down notes dutifully before looking up as Professor Song begins to wrap up the class. “For the last portion of your grade, you will all be assigned to work with a partner. The theme of your project is Graceful Gods, a study on partnerships between the gods and goddesses. You may choose whichever two gods and goddesses you may like that have had a connection with one another. Now, this doesn’t mean to watch Hercules a bunch of times and comment on those relationships between cartoons.” 

The class erupts into small giggles and you find yourself snorting at the lame joke. “Since I know that most of you cannot put yourselves together properly, looking at you Haeyun and Jowoon-” You giggle at his call out before paying attention again, “-you will all work with the person directly next to you at your tables.” Your eyes glance over to the long haired boy by next to you and you inwardly groan.

You sat on the couch of your shared apartment, scrolling mindlessly through social media once again. It wasn’t as though you had many other choices of activity. Being university students on break, the quarantine had ripped both yours and Jungkook’s summer job opportunities right from beneath you.

So here you were, month three of minimal contact with the outside world, sitting on the couch you may as well call your home within a home.

You learned very quickly that Facebook was definitely not the app of choice to pass time on, seeing as you only ended up angry at the amount of bad takes visible within the first 5 minutes of browsing. No, you chose to favour Instagram instead, seeing as you could just scroll through food porn, beautiful people, and memes for hours on end.

It definitely was not because your roommate’s thirst traps tended to dominate your feed there. Definitely not. At all.
