author's note: I wanted to write this idea I got on the same situation as reader for a bunch of idols, so I just thought it would be better to keep it undefined. Please, read, think of your favorite boy and tell me who did you think of! I thought mainly of Wooyoung (ateez) and Mingyu (seventeen)

Rush hour always got everyone stuck on the streets, despite its concept being "everyone is in a rush, going as fast as possible".

Being stuck in a bus during rush hour wasn't uncommon to you and would often upset you, but that day it didn't, since you were leaving work with the promise of a well-rested weekend, everything you wanted at the moment as your week was packed with urgency. Your tiredness paired with the quietness of the people in the bus and the soft music coming out of your earphones made it a lot easier to relax you.

Also, being stuck in a bus during that time wasn't always horrible. You liked to see the streets from above, you liked to be able to look at the other side of walls that looked enormous when you passed by them on foot and it was nicer when you got a chair to sit on.

When the bus stopped again, you let your head rest on the cold window and did exactly that. In front of you, there was an apartment building and you could see that some curtains were closed and some were open, showing life going on inside the apartment.

You could see a woman working on her laptop, a couple cuddling on the couch watching TV, a man running after a toddler with a towel in hand, a man exercising, two women showing each other their outfits and a woman talking on the phone while watering her plants on the balcony.

In a way, it fascinated you how different these people were, how they lived so close, but led such different lifestyles from each other. Your relaxed state also thought it was beautiful and it made you smile seeing how they all seemed to be content with the end of their days, be it with getting ready to go out, exercising or simply cuddling with your lover. You wished for that tranquility.

Eight minutes later, you were stepping inside your own apartment, being greeted by warmth and a delicious smell of food. You closed the door, left your shoes by the shoe rack and dropped your bag on the table you had on the small hall.

— You're home!

And, at the end of the corridor, was the person that got smiles out of you even on the worst days, the biggest reason why coming home felt so dreamy. Your tranquility.

— I cooked your favorite. Thought it was a good way to start the weekend.

You smiled and walked to him, opening your arms to get your daily welcome hug. He would always hug you, peck your lips and ask how your day was after your arrival, but every time felt as good as the first one he did that.

— My day was okay, but busy. I'm really sorry I couldn't call you during lunch hour today, I barely rested.

— No problem, I understand. Sometimes, work gets the best of us and requires all of our attention.

Then, you kissed him again, basking in his body warmth, and returned the question.

— It was alright, but I missed you.

— You always say the same thing — she chuckles.

— I'm always missing you when you're not beside me.

You scrunched your nose and giggled in response to his statement, saying he was too sappy.

— I am, but it's all your fault, you know that, don't you? — You only nodded. — How about you take a shower while I finish things in the kitchen, then we can eat?

— Just another minute, please — you murmured against his shirt and heard his soft, agreeing hum.

So you stood there, in the middle of your apartment, hugging and rocking side by side very slightly. And if this was a movie, the last scene would be the camera filming you two and going out through the window, zooming out, to capture the different lifestyles going on inside the other apartments that had the curtains opened.
