no one loved physical touch more than your boyfriend. you’re both out running errands together? he’s there to hold your hand and rub shapes into the back of it and go about your day. you wake up randomly in the middle of the night? there he is with his arms wrapped securely around you like a sloth. you wake up early one morning and decide to surprise him by cooking breakfast for you both? well, surprise ruined. because as soon as he woke up and didn’t feel you in his arms, his eyes widened with worry as he scurried to his feet and shuffled around the small apartment looking for you. luckily he didn’t have to go far as he smelled the cinnamon and freshly brewed coffee coming from the kitchen, his feet following the smell that eventually lead to you.

for a moment he admired you from afar from the door frame as he quietly leaned against it with his arms at his sides. the sunday morning sun shone through the halfway pulled curtains, the rays illuminating your frame as you flipped over another pancake. although you had just woken up not long ago, he still loved every inch of your being. from the messy hair you always woke up with, to the old hoodie of his you stole months ago that you refuse to give back. he never used the word perfect until he met you.

just as the last pancake fell onto the large stack, you felt a pair of arms wrap around you from behind. if you hadn’t already known who it was, you definitely would’ve jumped in place and probably started swinging the spatula around in defense. instead you just nuzzled into his chest, placing your hand on top of his and enjoying the warmth his body provided you on the brisk autumn morning.

“good morning baby,” his sleepy voice whispered as he placed a soft kiss on your cheek, resting his head on your shoulder as he rocked you both side to side slowly. “what’s all this?” you felt his lips peck your shoulder quickly before squishing his cheek on your shoulder blade, his arms squeezing you a bit tighter for comfort.

“i woke up early this morning and decided to make us breakfast.” you replied, turning your head to place a kiss to the top of his. “i was going to serve it to you in bed, but you woke up before i could do so.”

a faint chuckle was heard from him as you turned around to face him, his body standing up straight to look at you face to face for the first time today. “thank you, baby. it’s the thought that counts.” you watch as he lazily cups your face in his hands and places a kiss on your forehead. “i could still enjoy this in bed though, but only if you join me.”

you nod in agreement with a smile playing around your lips, placing a chaste kiss on his lips before pulling away and beginning to prepare your plates. as you turn around, you hear a grumble from keeho. turning around with a dramatic pout, you send him a curious facial expression. “your morning breath…” he trails, an obvious smirk being held back.

“yours isn’t any better either, yoon.” you snicker, rolling your eyes and continuing to add the bacon onto the plate with the pancakes.

back in the bedroom, you both sat up right enjoying cinnamon and banana pancakes with your matching mugs of coffee as an episode of That’s So Raven played on the television. of course keeho’s head laid on your shoulder, not wanting to be detached from you for even a split second. but you didn’t mind it, you enjoyed his touch. matter of face, it made you feel safe- it made you feel like you were finally home.

keeho wouldn’t really consider himself a cat person

but that changes pretty quickly when you decide to surprise him with a kitten

the two of you had talked about adopting a pet before, and when one of your friend’s cats has kittens you decide it’s time to bring one home.

he’s instantly in love, taking thousands of photos of her while gushing about how cute she is

he constantly wants to play with her 

if she ignores him or jumps off his lap while he’s petting her he will cry

keeho sulks when the cat seems to prefer being around you

but eventually the kitten warms up to him

the day that she finally chooses to jump onto his lap by herself, he’s so happy <3

even though he loves her a lot, he still gets jealous when she takes up all your attention

keeho has a lot of ways to relax and de-stress, but resting his head in your lap is by far his favourite. unfortunately, ever since the two of you adopted maru, his rightful place in your lap is always occupied by the kitten. as he sees you running your fingers through maru’s fur, he can’t help but think that should be him instead.

he loves maru of course, but he can’t seem to stop himself from sending jealous glances towards you and the cat when he spots you two cuddling on the couch with maru curled up smugly on your lap.

he’s sitting cross legged on the floor, pouting at you and maru. 

you glance at him. “what’s wrong, keeho?”

“y/n, be honest. who do you like more, me or maru?"

the question has you giggling as you figure out why he's upset.

"you dummy. do you even need to ask?"

keeho starts to breathe out in relief, but feels his heart stop when you teasingly say, "maru, of course!"

he shoots you a betrayed look, but his jealousy is quickly remedied when you smother him in hugs and kisses, maru purring as she rubs her head against the two of you.

when you tell him you want a cat, he’s not necessarily overjoyed

but he can never say no to you, so he ends up giving in and agrees to adopt a cat with you

initially, he ignores the cat and makes his dislike of her very clear

but slowly he warms up to her and starts feeding her- even playing with her when you’re not around

he says it’s about responsibility; “if you leave the cat alone for too long, she’ll get lonely. if you adopt a cat, you have to take care of it's needs.”

he puts up with all of her mischief and stops getting upset when she bothers him when he’s busy.

he won’t admit it, but the cat reminds him of you and keeps him company when you're not there.

eventually he ends up loving the cat as much as you do, even buying her expensive snacks and new toys

if you tease him about it he’ll get grumpy. so don’t <3

it’s evening when you return home, the last remaining rays of sunlight filtering in through the windows as you step inside. you’re immediately greeted by the sight of theo on the couch with your cat tofu sitting smugly on his lap.

for a moment, you’re too stunned to speak. “th-theo…i never thought this day would come,” you say, pretending to wipe away tears.

theo huffs, a grumpy expression on his face. “it’s not like i want the cat here or anything. i just happened to allow it to sit on me this time.”

you just smile, hugging him from behind as you sigh in content. “ah, i’m so happy. my favorite boyfriend and favorite cat are finally getting along.”

theo rolls his eyes at you, but he's smiling. “i’m your only boyfriend. and she’s your only cat. and you're my only sweetheart.”

he holds up miku's paw and waves it, pretending the cat is speaking. "good morning, y/n!!"

you laugh softly, sitting up and rubbing the sleep out of your eyes.

jiung puts an arm around you as miku clambers up onto your lap. he sighs happily. "my two favorite people to see when i wake up. i love you, miku. uh, and you too, y/n."

you hit his arm lightly. "yah, am i just an afterthought to you, choi jiung?

jiung presses a kiss to your lips, smiling as he shakes his head. " of course not, silly."
