It's the middle of the night and they're in a deep, meaningful conversation about something. Then the subject ends and they just sit next to each other in a comfortable silence, stealing glances once or twice.

Gwyn takes a deep breath, thinking "okay, that's it, I'm gonna do it" and whispers a hesitant "Shadowsinger?"

When Az turns to face her, he is met with soft lips pressing gently against his. My shadow boy is so shocked he goes still and, realizing he did not correspond, Gwyn pulls away, cheeks burning red and apologizing.

Azriel's soul finally comes back to his body and he smirks because finally, finally she kissed him!! Gwyn is almost running from him when he gets closer again, cupping her cheek and bending his head, whispering "May I?"

When she nods, they finally *Kiss* but like, a capital K kiss.

So does Gwyn kiss Azriel first or will Azriel kiss Gwyn first?

I just have this feeling she would work at a bookstore and try for a career in music while doing her PhDs and never having a moment to rest and he would be a private investigator or something, 12 years older (because we need the "you're getting old, look out for your knees'' jokes) with too much baggage and already tired of life.

And they would find happiness and adventure and solace and home in each other.

Honest question here, I'm not looking for a fight or anything, I genuinely just had this in my mind.

E/riels usually use that sentence "Elain smiled so brightly that even Azriel's shadows seemed to brighten up" or something along these lines to prove the Shadows like Elain.

But... they're shadows. Wouldn't "brighten up" mean they... disappeared?

It's a genuine question I swear, I'm just curious.

Wanna know why I love Gwyn?

Gwyn saved the children at Sangravah, even though it led to a horrific act being brought upon herself.

Gwyn was the first to sign up for training. Showing bravery and strength which led to other priestesses eventually joining in.

Gwyn was the one who introduced and brought back the Valkyrie training. She is even the one who was first to cut the ribbon to become the 1st Valkryie again in a long time.

Gwyn sat up in a tree for two days watching the beasts movements and ended up leading them to the camp which in turn saved Nesta and Emerie.

Gwyn was going to stay back, despite what the men could/would have done to her, so that Nesta and Emerie would reach the top.

Gwyn has shown up for her friends and others in times of need, even if it meant something bad happens to her.

She is the very definition of brave, strong, and loyal.
