“Chris?” you knock lightly on the studio's door before stepped in, finding his back facing you as he got so immersed in his work.

He was slightly lean towards the table, headphones covering his ears, not noticing you who already few steps into the studio. Your steps hesitate to be closer to him as the thought of your behaviour in past week towards him was far enough from good.

You were got so many things to do at work, not to mention the pressure it gives, and it's just stressed you out even more. On top of that, your so-called boyfriend, Chris did not have any better condition as his group's comeback is around the corner. You had barely seen each other for the past month already, and when he came home last week, it was when you were really stressed out you pushed him away with your salty and sarcastic tongue. What a 'great' girlfriend you are. He didn't do anything that causes your stressed-out state, though.

Now here you are, slightly panting from the run to the studio right after his weekly vlive end. You just, need him the most right now.

“Y/N?” Chris finally noticed your presence as he spun his chair around, “What are you doing here?” his voice is so soft, as soft as how his eyes look into yours.

Those eyes were always looking at you lovingly. Never did you find him looks at you in any other expression but pure love and admiration — actually you have, he looked disappointed when you throw one of your sarcasm to him last week. But he quickly found that you don't mean it. When in fact, you think, you just being really mean.

“Y/N?” he repeated himself, and when he noticed a layer of glass started to cover your eyes, he pats his lap. Motioning for you to come and sit on his lap.

“Did I allowed to sit there?” you muttered under your breath, eyes dropping low avoided any eye contact.

“Of course, why not?” he scouted closer in his chair, now stopped in front of you, eyes looking up tried to meet yours who keep avoiding his. “Hey,” he hold your fingertips, shake it so lightly just to make sure that you will meet his eyes. That you will see his warm and soft smile.

“You don't come here just to stand up here looking at my back, do you?” you shake your head, some tears start to stream down your cheeks. Chris reached his hand out to wipe your tears away, while his other hand reached for your waist, pulling you to seat on his lap.

You plopped down right away, you let him hugging you tight while running his hand up and down your back. Because that's what you need right now. He let you cry your eyes out, staining his black hoodie with your tears. Because he knows that's what you need right now.

You stay in that position for some minutes later. Even after your cries had stopped, and now Chris hands are draping around your waist as his body softly swaying to the lo-fi music that's heard from the speaker. You just need to feel each other's presences right now. It's more than enough to make you feel better.

“Did you purposely do that?” your voice is raspy as you can feel Chris start to playing with your hair.

“Do what?”

“Playing Grow Up, and saying those things.”

“Hmm? I don't know what you mean.”

You lifted your head up, narrowing your eyes to look at him suspiciously as he only showed you his smile while keep playing with the end of your hair, curling it on his finger.

“You know what I mean, Chris. You know how stressed out I am the past week that you play that damn song and saying all of those things. You must have expected that I will run here to find you like this, don't you?”

He chuckled, you smacked his chest gathering an “Ow” between his chuckle.

“To be honest, I don't expect you to come. I was about to going home when you come some minutes ago.” he leaned closer to pressed his forehead to yours, “But I do mean it when I say you're not a failure.”

His smile is only an inch away, his eye deeply look into yours when the tears start to fill your eyes again. What have you done to deserve a person like him? You must have saved the whole country in your past life.

“Why'd you cry again?”

You pulled away, enough to give a space for your arm to wipe the tears from your cheeks. But Chris pulled you back into his hug as he starts to rub your back softly.

“It's okay, Y/N. I'm here, I will stay with you till the end. Don't worry about anything. I'm here.”
