Mini Flawless ramble!!

I've gotten a lot done these past few days and it has been so very hard to not tell you absolutely everything. I got the central characters started and different scenarios to see how they would interact. I changed about half of what I said when I introduced Flawless. I have started to build a small mystery, and I am keeping on task of the original plan.

This whole project was a mix of two goals I had in mind. 1, make a cast of characters who hate each other more than words can explain. 2, try something new and get out of my comfort zone by making something abstract and weird. And I believe I am still doing that! It is hard to not explain everything. There are things I am not meant to know and things I have written down that you will never know.

Another thing I have noticed is I have a habit of making a bunch of silly little aus for characters. I love aus, they're fantastic and great and cool. And I was thinking of an au for Flawless where the story kind of goes differently. But I had to stop myself because that is not the point of this. The point of this is to make something and let other people fill in the blanks on what they believe it to mean. The point of this is to try something new and encourage other people to do the same.

Even if the story itself has acquired a deeper meaning, the point of this all is to explore a new outlet and direction of writing.

So, starting now, I will not tell you any more about Flawless's story or plans. I will talk about the characters and play around with concepts and scenarios, but the story will not come out until it is time.

It is day 7 on my animal crossing island. CJ is still not here. My island has gotten significantly worse. I have banned myself from fishing. Everything is going to shit.

Ok so I got bored of writing what I was writing and have started something new and I am going absolutely feral over it and need to talk about it.

I thought of it like less than two hours ago it is not fully developed in ANY way.

Ok, so I'm calling it "Flawless" and that's the funny bit. So a good kind of description of what is going on in my mind is like, therapy gone wrong. You'll see.

So there's a small cast of characters living together and they are the embodiment of a singular person's "worst traits". I'll give an example, don't look too deep into it.

But the whole thing is "What do you see as your worst traits. Characterize it."

Example time! One little guy could be characterized like:

- Controlling / Bossy

- Anger issues

- Selfish

- Impatient

Now that is a shortened list of traits I shoved in a character. (I only have the one rn based on myself, it's new.(Don't look too deep into it.))

ANYWAY!!!! Now the therapy!! In the house(?) There are these statues that talk to the puppets. They have to correct them on their actions based on altercations the puppets have with each other. Now they do all have their own room as a "cool down zone" but are frequently pushed out of their rooms by the building itself or some invisible force or something I didn't think of yet.

It's supposed to be weird and abstract and just a little mental experiment for myself.

I am going absolutely feral over Flawless and I want to talk about it so bad and I'm also restraining myself from world building and explaining everything because it's not supposed to have an explanation.

Please ask me about Flawless I am desperate to talk about it. I am clawing at the walls of my enclosure.

Oh!! Inspired by dhmis, my annoyance at going on a walk, and being mad at against the world for not doing what I want it to do (/half joking)

Mackerel is back with more animal crossing posting!! I am very excited about this and I'm making it everyone's problem.

So I gave Blathers a bunch of fish for the museum, immediately replaced that with more fishing, gave Timmy the resources for his shop, and met Zucker at a mystery island. I am without a task now. Oh!! There was also a meteor shower today, but I didn't see Celeste (she's my favorite).

I have so much fish that my island is lagging near my house and where I put the museum and I cannot move fast.

I have also gotten increasingly annoyed by joycon drift messing up my walking and general tasks. I have to wiggle so I can move downwards.

Speaking of drift, Mr Nook looks incredibly annoyed with me and I think it is really funny.

While playing, I keep thinking of silly little ideas for things I can do. It's just a fun game to let your mind wander. Like, I thought of a funny "All fish jokes poorly explained" where I explain the fish jokes, but poorly. Like, the Saddled Bichir, I would put a picture of a horse saddle and a cowboy hat on myself and boom, poorly explained joke. (I would include an image but I have reached the image limit.) Or for the Koi, I'd scribble out the name and write "Coy". Bam, poorly explained. That was my favorite thing to think about while fishing. That and creative ways to swear while not using the usual words, when I scare the fish away.

.... I'm not sure what to do now, so I think I'm just gonna go fish more. I really wanna catch an Arapaima.

It's been awhile since I updated you on my animal crossing island!!

Flick visited yesterday, but still no CJ. I'm starting to think he hates me or is afraid of coming here because I am still waiting. /silly

I finished the spinosaurus fossil!! That's my favorite dinosaur, actually!!

And today I got all of my house plots filled out and 3 stars!! So we held a party at Harvey's place!! Look at us go, dancing away!

And now something that is not animal crossing! But I've wanted to share for a bit but keep forgetting to save the video!

I was working on my time and shaving it down as much as I could. Because I'm not too good at Mario Kart. And I was so absolutely baffled by this that I needed to show it to someone!!! Look at me go!!! I was gonna look at videos on reducing time and whatnot but the one I looked at talked about stats, and I don't want stats, I was Isabelle on her silly little motorcycle. I was also working in this map only because the game thought that Bowser's Castle was my favorite and it is not.

Detective Mackerel is really starting to regret signing up for this case.. How are there so many files?? What happened to this little town?? I haven't even made a dent in the pile. Goodness gracious..

So I'm sitting in Mom's office while she does something, and I'm so incredibly bored. I'm going through files for her and playing a bit of pretend. Instead of searching the files for sensitive information, I am pretending that there was a series of murders and I am trying to figure out who did it. Whenever I see something that needs to be shredded, that's a suspect. (I can't set aside the whole file, so that part is just completely imaginary. I have to take the page out and set it aside.)

Currently I have 5 prime suspects and a lot more files to go through. One of my suspects has notably more information on them (an older file), I'll have to analyze the situation closer (already finished the file). Detective Mackerel, out.
