Okay But Do You Make Sure You Eat Foods That Are Ethically Sourced? Do You Ensure That You Only Consume
okay but do you make sure you eat foods that are ethically sourced? do you ensure that you only consume products where the farmers are adequately compensated for their work? are you aware of the unethical human labor involved in the exportation of most of our produce? eating vegan =\= eating humanely. eating locally sourced foods and knowing the people & processes involved in their production, regardless of whether or not they’re vegan, does so much more for the planet & the reduction of factory farming.
Hii! Thank you for asking. Firstly I am aware of the extremely unethical practices that are extremely prevalent in produce farming. I purchase around 90% of my food from local farmers at farmers markets and/or the farmers stands. I’m lucky to live in an area that has a lot of local farms that are ethically run and I do my best to support these local farmers. The other 10% of food I grow myself. I admit I am not perfect and sometimes I have accidentally purchased items that aren’t ethically sourced but I do my personal best to only purchase ethically sourced food.

Something I don’t really ever see anyone talking about is how hard it is to keep being friends with people who haven’t changed like you have. I love my old friends but they don’t understand that i’m so different now.
Choosing a vegan lifestyle means standing up against animal cruelty. Factory farming involves huge suffering for animals. By going vegan, you’re taking a stand against animal suffering and support humane practices.
