Fic Box sign ups are OPEN

DSMP fic + Jackbox = Fic Box! Introducing a new prompt writing event inspired by Quiplash and other minigames, we are excited to open our sign ups!

The event will run for the entirety of October, and you earn points through writing other people’s prompts and completing challenges. For now, the event will only be centered around the Dream SMP, but we hope to open up more in a future event.

No no you see because the final Egg lore stream, if it actually does end up happening after this next stream like Bad says, will be a flashback episode taking place eight months ago. And what the Egg actually is and what it’s all been growing for has been a mystery for over a year. And it’s an egg, something that was established by the CCs from the very first Egg stream on December 6th. The term “Blood Vines” came from a donation, but “egg” came from Sam. And eggs hatch. Which means that this egg has been one gigantic Chekhov’s Gun waiting to go off for a year

Now, the Egg was originally meant to be a fun little side plot lasting for only a few weeks. Just some Skeppy getting possessed by a mysterious egg hijinks, you know? So whatever is inside the Egg has to be plausible for a small side plot, but also plausible for a year-long thread of complicated lore. And you know who fits that role perfectly?

Motherfucking DreamXD! Who I’ve already pointed out has some weirdly convenient connections and similarities to the Egg.

Bad could’ve built this whole statue room for the Dreamon Hunters sideplot originally, decided that he wanted to get some more use out of the plot, and came up with this demonic Egg to possess Skeppy in a similar vein to Dream getting possessed in the original stream. And cc!Dream was in the very first Egg stream, so he very well could’ve been involved.

Not only that, but DreamXD originally didn’t have very much lore. He was a blank slate of a character, just some demon who could fly. Yet, almost all his lore from the table incident onward has concerned Bad in some way. The first time he spoke with his canonical voice changer voice was in George’s stream, which as I’ve mentioned before started off with George getting lured to the Egg. 

BUT.

That all took place in a dream, and as we now know, it takes a lot of soul energy from people dying for DreamXD to appear in the physical world.

And whatever was inside the Egg, if the final Egg lore stream does end up setting off that Chekhov’s Gun and showing us what was inside after all, has been loose on the server since April of 2021.

And you know what DreamXD’s first canon, undeniably not a dream, physical appearance in the lore was in Season Three?

L’Sandburg, which chronologically took place just after the final Egg lore stream was supposed to. Puffy and Foolish were originally a little confused about whether or not L’Sandburg was even meant to be canon, but Bad was adamant from the beginning that it was.

Now, the most recent lore that Bad has been in, disregarding for a moment the TNT stream that’s setting up something we haven’t figured out yet, is the final stream with DreamXD, where c!Bad claims that he saw what Foolish is looking for, on accident, a really long time ago. That’s a little interesting, right? I mean why would c!Bad of all people know where the book is? How would he have seen it accidentally? 

I REALLY DON’T KNOW, but it certainly is interesting that cc!Bad has been very involved with the DreamXD statue lore to this point.
