A picture I actually wanted to do all the way back in summer (but—ya know—unintended hiatus). There's an old mine a few hours away that is still open to visitors, so we took an outing there and also learned about an old miner folklore figure: the gruvrå!

Apparently she's a creature that watches over mines. She's petty and easily offended, and the men needed to be very mindful of her since they were technically working in 'her home'. But if they behaved (knocking on the cave wall to let her know when they were going into work, not swearing, not shouting unnecessarily, etc) she would warn of impending collapses or even show the way to ore deposits.

Not sure if the boys have pissed her off or not yet...
