The university I used to attend was a gateway to hope and light for me. It was the place where I strived to achieve my dreams and build my future. But the war in Gaza spared nothing. The destruction that befell the university was devastating; its buildings are no longer standing, and the lecture halls I once sat in are now rubble. It’s as if the dream I worked so hard for collapsed with every wall that fell and every book lost under the ruins.💔
My life and future have been shattered in ways beyond words. All the efforts I put into my years of study no longer seem to matter. I had hoped to complete my education and secure a job that would help me build a decent life, but now all I see ahead is emptiness. There are no job opportunities, and the situation worsens by the day. Life is no longer the same, and each day I feel the weight of destruction not only around me but within me as well.😢
The war didn’t just take away our homes and livelihoods; it also stole our dreams and ambitions.💔

Hello, my name is Iman, and I am a mother of five children,. I live with my family in northern Gaza, where we are facing famine and hardships due to the harsh war on Gaza. We had lived a relatively peaceful life despite the challenges imposed by the long blockade on Gaza before the war.
We have been displaced eight times, moving from one school to another, and now we are living a life of homelessness and starvation. Even clean water is unavailable. 💔😭 My children are starving and suffer from malnutrition every day, going to bed hungry. I cry for my two-year-old daughter when she asks for milk
which we cannot provide. Her frail body survives on flour and stale bread, deprived of everything. My children crave vegetables, meat, and fruits; we haven't eaten any of these in 10 months, since the war started. Our bodies have deteriorated, our bones have weakened, and my son Mohamed's chest bones have become visible, along with the vertebrae of his spine. He also suffers from scabies due to the lack of cleanliness and medicine.
Our bodies are filled with rashes from the heat because we are living with 40 people in a small, overcrowded classroom.
My children have been deprived of education, even though they were all excelling in their studies

We lived joyfully and peacefully for barely 7 months until the war struck and forced us to endure the hardest days of our life. So far, we have been displaced nine times from one location to another. We've lost our jobs. Our lovely, worm home. Members of our family, in addition to the continual fear we suffer.
The most difficult decision for us was to leave our country, to leave Gaza, overcome the obstacles we faced and the losses we suffered, and begin a new life from scratch.
