I really don’t care what we do, I just wanna do smth
If some higher being came to you, and said, if you wanted to, they could make you immortal, meaning you stay young (like in your 20s), you can’t be inflicted with disease or bodily harm, and any time you want you can call upon this deity and be killed, ending your immortal life, would you take it?
If there was no catch, you stay young, no sickness, and you have the option of dying if you really want to(ie you can back out of being immoral) would you want to be immortal?
(also immortal as in you live forever, not as in you become a god)
A second question (but similar) is would you take immortality, as mentioned above, if you could be immortal with friends and family as well?(this is a separate question from the first)
I’m asking a lot of people this as an experiment out of curiosity.
If you don’t know, that’s okay. If you do have an answer, feel free to explain! If you don’t want to explain, that’s fine too!
(also if this is too much to think about right now, you don’t have to answer)
I’d take it in a heartbeat. Not because I believe I earned it or it’s a right or some shit, but because I have a goal. I want to help people. Honestly, that’s the whole reason I’m an author and an artist. I write queer content because queers deserve to be represented and respected. They’re human. I write and draw people of different ethnicities, religions, cultures, etc because they deserve to be represented and respected. They’re human. I write people with mental disorders and physical disabilities because they deserve to be represented and respected. They. Are. Human.
there’s only so much I can try to do in my life. Write and draw some characters, get involved with all kinds of different people, try to fill some cracks our world has. I know there’s a huge chance I won’t be able to do much, but I want to try, and if I could live forever, well, that’d certainly be helpful.
as for friends and family..? Yeah, I’d still take it. Would it be challenging seeing as I have quite a few issues with my family? Oh yeah. And do I think I’d stay friends with my friends now for hundred of years? No. People change. We’re made to change. Relationships change.
I dunno about y’all, but I think @half-shadowgalra ‘s question was more than intriguing.
