When someone dies, in order to be an inheritor, three things must be in place:

First: There must be a WILL

Second: There must be a MEDIATOR or executor of the will,

Third: There need to be persons that are qualified to receive an INHERITANCE.

Inheritors are people that have a close relationship to the person that died, and this is especially true for the children of a father. Using this model, the same is true for those that are 'The Children Of God,' when it comes to receiving an inheritance from the Heavenly Father - just as today’s verse says - “The Promise Of An ETERNAL INHERITANCE”. But the question is this...“How can you become a child of God so that you can receive this Eternal Inheritance?”

There is an interesting play on words here in that to be an inheritor in the (Legal) Will of God, you must DO THE WILL of God and that is to confess with your mouth from your heart that “…by means of the death (of Christ)…for the transgressions of your sins” (ibid) - that Christ died for your sins, that you repent of your sins, and that you want to be part of his family. This is the message of the New Testament in that relationship with God is no longer a matter of following the laws of the Old Testament, but receiving the gift of God of love and reconciliation into his family that Christ as mediator of the new covenant made in the New Testament.

Friend there is an ETERNAL INHERITANCE awaiting you but you cannot receive it unless you are in the family of God. If you have not done so, come to Christ today. He wants you in His family and he does not want to see anyone miss receiving the inheritance which is yours simply for the asking.

Ask Christ today - “LORD, I want to be your child and in your family!”

housands of years ago, Abram was a wealthy pagan-worshiping man in the ancient land of UR (what we know today as southern Iraq.) He had everything that could be had in that world — wealth, position, and reputation — yet of all the people in that land of antiquity, God called and spoke to him to go from there and to leave all.

A point easily missed in this short, simple passage is that he was not told WHERE to go, but simply to go to a place “Which I Will Show You.” In other words, to use a modern analogy, “Leave Now, Pack your bags, Get in the car and just Start Driving in THAT direction…and when you get there I’ll TELL YOU!”

As today’s title says, not only for Abram where he came from was not to be nearly as important as what lay in his future, and that was to be re-christened with the name ABRAHAM and to be the father of the entire Jewish nation!

Likewise where you have been in this life is also not nearly as important as where God wants you to go too. Just as he had a plan for Abram, he has a plan for you too, but like Abram you have to stop, hear God’s voice and obediently head in the direction that he is calling you to go. Where that leads will not be clear until you get there, and that is called FAITH.

The Bible says in Romans 4:3 that “Abraham believed God, and it was counted unto him for righteousness.” Likewise He is calling you to do something to take you from where you HAVE BEEN to Where you Are GOING. When you do, as Abram did and became even more blessed as Abraham, there is something far better in the direction God wants you to go then where you are now, or where you think you want to go.

Millions of people’s lives are in bondage, spiraling out of control and dying from overdoses of opioids along with the huge influx of heroin and other addictive behaviors. While some may go into rehab centers searching to be free of their habits but fail to recover, it only takes One Step Forward to find healing, freedom, and release in the arms of Jesus, who died to set us ALL free.

Only Christ can permanently heal, deliver and transform a life that has been broken and bound in sin to a life of freedom and peace. Only God’s way will bring deliverance; man’s way will keep them in bondage; but those that have been bought with the precious blood of Jesus have been set free. Christ proclaimed:

“ If the Son makes you free, you shall be free indeed.” - John 8:36

If ever we have needed to pray for the deliverance and salvation of people in bondage to drugs, pornography, or mental illness, the time to accept Jesus as their Lord and Savior, it is NOW! If so, please pray this prayer out loud:

Dear LORD:

There is such a devastating moral break down in our country and in the world. Lord, we need you now more than ever to deliver people from all kinds of addictions and sicknesses which are killing thousands daily. We pray for each and every person for your saving grace and to heal them and set them free! In Jesus name together we pray, Amen!

You can go up to 40 days without FOOD, 3 days without WATER, and about 1 minute without AIR, and earth itself will die without LIGHT. These are truths of both the natural temporal world, but also of the eternal spiritual one as well.

Here is what the Bible says about each of these essential ingredients of life:

FOOD sustains us: “ I am the living bread that came down from heaven. Anyone who eats this bread will live forever.” - John 6:51

WATER nourishes us: “Whoever drinks this water will never thirst again.” - John 4:14

AIR gives us life: “ And the Lord God formed a man from the dust of the ground, and breathed into his nostrils the breath of life, and the man became a living soul.” - Genesis 2:7

LIGHT guides us and transfers energy: “ I am the Light of the world.” -John 8:12

All of these are the Gifts of God for YOU to sustain your life. Consume these four attributes of life In Your Body and you will live for a few decades, but consume them In Your Spirit and you will live forever. If you have not done so, right now accept these four life-giving attributes of eternal life by receiving them from Christ and you will live forever.

Giving support for the work of the ministry is a vitally important responsibility. Ask yourself though - when the plate is passed on Sunday morning and you drop in that offering, what is your honest motivation?

If you think that it is a way of helping your church or favorite ministry while also getting a tax deduction to boot, THINK AGAIN! God is not interested in your money, but your heart. In fact, when you give to gain your offering is an abomination to Him, because He is much more interested in honouring and obeying Him than your booty of sacrifice. (1 Samuel 15:22)

The Bible promises blessing to those that give out of a grateful and honest heart, so when 'Funding In Faith' there is a blessing promised to the giver. Now keep in mind that this is NOT a 'Give To Gain' scheme, and just because you give does not mean a tit-for-tat recompense from heaven of showered wealth. God blesses in many different ways so when we give out of a pure heart, His blessings manifest often in ways we never anticipated or expected!

So give without looking at how it may or may not affect the bottom line of your 1040 tax form. Give instead as God leads you in your spirit, not based on if it is 'tax deductible.' It will not only help others, but you’ll help yourself in ways you will never see coming.

The 'temple' or “house” the Apostle Paul is referring to here in today’s verse is US, and the true owner of that house is not 'us', but God. Here is why...

We are 'lessees' of this temporary body as we travel through this mortal lifetime, and what we allow into our 'house,' will be what it will become. Therefore we need to be very careful about what we let in, not just through our mouth, but especially through our hearts and eyes. Jesus warns us about the eyes of the body saying

“ if thine eye be evil, thy whole body shall be full of darkness. If therefore the light that is in thee be darkness, how great is that darkness.”

(Matthew 6:23) And if you allow dirt to come into your house, then you will be living in a

Dirty House!

So stop and take inventory of what you have inside the temple of your house! Because in order for God to fully abide in your house and be able to use you for His purposes your house must be clean. If not, here’s how to start.

First: Clean Out The Dirt! Search through every corner of yourself and start throwing away all those things that are 'dirty' in your life. These can be — but are not limited to — bad habits, improper speech, and impure desires, thoughts and attitudes.

Second: Keep your house clean by daily making it a A Place of Prayer. When you pray in the spirit it pushes out and keeps out the dirt and sin that wants to come back inside your house.

Third: Make Your House A Place of Praise. Not only will your spirit be filled with praise for God, but when you praise God, your very countenance will be filled with the light of Christ, and as that light emanates from your house, others will notice that you have something they will desire.

Fourth: Make Your House A Place of Power! A clean house attracts good things and good people, and by practicing the power of prayer and praise, you become a conduit to His power and a light to others and are now “Fit for the Master’s Use” (2 Timothy 2:21)

Friend, a clean home is a beautiful home, and a delight to enjoy and live. Live the GOOD LIFE!
