I don't believe Aang was doing any of this on purpose and he does get a little leeway because he's a twelve year old (a little not a lot) but at the same time his actions prove that he just wasn't ready for a relationship. And I totally agree people shouldn't need to talk themselves up or come around to a relationship. Either you like someone or you don't. And that just wouldn't be fair to either party

The fact that I need a dongle to listen to music on a modern telephone while 20 years ago I could have simply plugged a universally standardized cord into the audio jack everyone knew how to use is an anti-human move that should be punished.

Fr like so many of my favorite shows like Agents of Shield, Avatar, Revenge, Arrow, Crazy Ex Girlfriend, and others work so well because they've got time to breathe, to flesh out the narrative. They would not work nearly as well if you just cut them down to just eight episodes. Some shows definitely need the shorter seasons for pacing reasons but it's a case by case basis. Game of Thrones can tell its story in ten episodes but Agents of Shield would've been completely choked by that limit. Conversely if Game of Thrones tried to stretch any of its seasons out into 20 episodes it would've been an unbelievable drag. But streaming service shows having these six to ten episode long seasons is killing a lot of them. It fucks the pacing and so many aren't able to flesh out the characters in a meaningful way, leading to low viewership and premature cancellation. The show Found was imo absolutely saved by NBC extending the season. It was originally gonna have like eight episodes but they upped it to 13 and as a result the flow is way better. Not perfect (they need to let the characters exist more outside the case of the week and know when to just do away with that sometimes) but it's better than it would've been otherwise

honestly tv is really dead. I’m tired of streaming services making those 8 episodes shows that never get the chance to have more seasons after making the audience invested in the characters and also making the cast and creators uncertain and anxious about getting the chance to go back to another season. I miss when we had actual shows with multiple seasons in production from the start to keep the interest going, this format of not quite a show but also not a limited series fucking sucks and I feel so bad for everyone that works for these streamings
