Jaskier's been asleep for over three days straight now. Just went to bed like normal one night and never woke up. He still has a steady heartbeat, and is of perfect health, he just won't... Wake up. As Geralt rides off to find a cure, he notices that there are other people falling asleep seemingly at random throughout the continent. He figures out it's everyone who has listened to a one of Jaskier's songs recently, whether performed by Jaskier or not. I like to think it's some curse Valdo paid for that backfired way out of control, "Make people fall asleep during Jaskier's performances" type of thing But the VOTW (Villain Of The Week) is really up to you, darlings

Jaskier's tears magically heal whatever they fall on. Whether he's blessed, or has fae blood, etc etc is all up to you Geralt learned when he had a certainly fatal injury and his bard cried over him, only for the wounds to miraculously lessen in intensity, to the point he could stitch them up and he'd be fine in a couple of days. The only issue is that certain enemies are getting word of Jaskier's abilities, and are now desperately seeking some way to steal Geralt's bard from him in order to use those powers for themselves.

Jaskier is running away from his abusive home, cutting them all off without a word, and disappearing into the night to move to somewhere with a better future for himself. Only issue? He has no car, or money. So he sucks it up and tries hitchhiking, regardless of all the horror stories everyone tells you about. He was expecting some awkward drive with some old random trucker or something, like what always happens in the movies. What he wasn't expecting was for three brothers on a yearly family bonding road trip to agree to take him with them across multiple states (or uk equivalent) What he REALLY wasn't expecting was to fall in love with one of the men, who has long white hair, piercing golden eyes, an awkward-shaped smile, a ridiculously named pet horse, and a stupid sense of humor.

This is for ineffable husbands, I know, but it also matches Geraskier

It's frustrating that you can come up with the plot of an entire fic in just a few seconds, but writing it all down can take anywhere from never to forever.

New story!

Inspired by a prompt from @geraskierfanficprompts here's a short oneshot about Geralt discovering a cursed lute.

The trader greeted Geralt with a grateful clap on the back and bid him take any of his priceless items that Geralt chose. Looking about the collection, Geralt saw many an unusual item - shrunken heads, possessed urns, boxes that could only be opened with a drop of the owner's blood. But what drew his attention was a handsome looking lute. It was engraved with tiny painted buttercups. Geralt's heart lurched at the thought of Jaskier. Having made his decision, Geralt took the lute. It was a perfect reminder of his companion and would make a wonderful gift for Jaskier should he find his way back into Geralt's life.

Returning to his rented rooms, Geralt was about to set down the lute on the bedside cabinet when he noticed a slip of paper stuck between the strings. Opening the folded parchment, Geralt read:

Do not play this instrument under any circumstances. It is cursed.

Geralt rolled his eyes; it was just typical that he had chosen a cursed item.
