THE WIFI WENT OUT LAST NIGHT AND I COULDN'T POST MY PROMPT! AAAAA No fear... You will feast today with TWO prompts! The Wolves are the most notorious and feared gunman gang to ever cross the wild west. They've known to frequent a certain bar recently, purely for the man the bar hires to perform there near-nightly. The entire gang loves him and his music, but all of them know damn well that Geralt likes the man a little extra. The singer's music seems to soothe him more than it soothes his brothers. His dumb jokes make Geralt snort or dryly chuckle more than the others. The best part about this performer (aside from giving them all something to tease Geralt about) is that he either has no idea who they all are, or he doesn't care. He winks over at them, he'll raise a glass to cheers them, one night he even danced directly on their table, evidently loving the gang's uproarious cheering as he did so. One night, Lambert comes to them from wherever he rides off to every few weeks and comes back with wagonloads of information, and tells them that he's just learned that The Cats were coming here to fulfil a contract to kill the singer, and given how long it took him to get back, they could be trying to do it as they speak. So the gang ride into town, find the singer, grab him, and ride him back to their camp to protect him from the rival gang that wants to kill him. They just forget to tell him the "we're protecting you" part. Jaskier is really enjoying this gig he's had at this shitty bar for the past few months. This group of burly grumpy men seem to hate everyone and everything but him. It's quite an ego boost, really. Especially the handsome one with white hair. He's sure they liked him. I mean, there were a few times they tipped him enough money for him to rent a room for another month! That's why he's so confused when one night they snatch him right before he goes on to perform and they ride him away from civilization. Oh fuck- Is this how he dies?!

Prompt 48

Jaskier is feeling insecure. This isn't new. He makes sure everyone always thinks he's at the height of his confidence, but he has bad days. Many times, actually. He had been working up the courage to tell Geralt how he feels, but he saw Geralt and Yennefer talking and it just started digging around in his brain. He's not nearly as pretty as Yennefer, and certainly not as powerful. He's just the annoying bard that follows Geralt around. Geralt is confused when Jaskier is suddenly trying to do everything and anything for Geralt. He's trying out eight different new hobbies, none of which suit him, and all of which being things that are purely practical. When Geralt finally confronts Jaskier about it, Jaskier breaks down over how he'll never be as good as Geralt's previous lovers, and Geralt finally finds his words in order to describe all the many things Jaskier does amazingly and every little quirk that Geralt adores.

Prompt 45

Jaskier's breath races, and his heart hammers away at a quicker pace than Geralt's ever heard from the bard. Jaskier tries to mutter something about talking to the others and getting their stories, only to stumble in place. Geralt furrows his eyebrows and walks closer, just in time to catch Jaskier as he faints. Geralt rides him to a healer, regretting the whole mountain business already, but even moreso when he learns that the affliction that caused Jaskier to drop was called 'Broken Heart Syndrome.' How can he make it up to his beloved bard?

Prompt 37

The second of two prompts I'm giving y'all today since the wifi went out and I couldn't give you one last night! Eat up! A retelling of Jack and The Beanstalk but with Jaskier and Geralt My friend enjoyed the idea of Giant Jaskier, to quote, "add some spice", but I do worry about how his music would probably be painful if he were that big and loud, and we don't need any more jaskier's music hate (cough cough twn) BUT THEN i got to thinking that perhaps that could be something they FIX So either Jaskier, broke as dirt, blabla magic beans (or perhaps he just comes across a beanstalk), he climbs up and meets a bunch of giant witcher men. OR Geralt gets an odd contract to kill a "giant", for it makes horrific noises every moment of the day. Only when Geralt finds him, he finds an oversized bard who seems completely harmless, and lonely at the most. The giant begs him to help him find a cure for his size, a way to be small like the others, so that his music will no longer annoy or hurt the townspeople's ears, and instead will be enjoyed. To make it all the more complicated, even though he's humongous, the giant is terrified of seemingly everything, and screams and fumbles and flails any time Geralt has to go on a hunt, or has to protect them from the wildlife.

when the fic writer makes the human villain (who hurt the witcher's love interest) get killed with the silver sword because they're a "monster"
