Saya is an orphan who was taken in by her family after her parents were killed. Her family was poor and couldn't afford to keep her. She was sold off to a brothel in Kyoto's pleasure quarters where she served as one of the two personal assistants to a high class courtesan. Only to be groomed to become a courtesan one day herself. This is an independent and canon divergent role-play blog for Saya from the manga Peace Maker Kurogane. Please read the guidelines before any interaction. Thank you! Penned by Myttie

Saya is adamant to let her hair grow out just like Okita-san, even though it’ll take years--her hair grows rather slow.

"Saya!" the young man ran towards the girl that was waiting for him near the tree, feeling guilty for not contacting her for months: he didn't meant to, but later events inside the Shinsengumi had made impossible for him to go out and visit his friend, "It's been a while!"
One hand pressed against the trunk of the tree and the other against her bust, she waited for her friend she wasn’t sure would even come. She didn’t have her hopes up–it wouldn’t be the first time he couldn’t make it for whatever reason she didn’t want to hear. Excuses she had heard a thousand times over and tired or hearing–even if they were true. All she cared about was to see him for once after so, so long. It might be hard on his end to meet up with her, but was he even aware what she was risking by sneaking out of the brothel?? Probably not. Luckily Hana had her back and kept insisting to not give up on trying to meet up with him. Truly, if it wasn’t for Hana, she wouldn’t have bothered anymore cause the risk was just too high.

When she heard his voice calling out for her, she looked up in the direction. Her face didn’t hold her usual excited smile when she heard him. No. Brows raised while her expression was dull. She wasn’t sure how she felt when he said; it’s been a while!! Should she cutely chuckle in agreement behind the back of her kimono sleeve, tug at his arm and start their day as if it were only yesterday since they last met up?? Probably the best approach if she were to ask Hana because time was precious and even though he was there right now, they still didn’t have much time either. Was it really worth to throw a tantrum in his face and hear the same old, same old. No. It was better to pent-up it all up and start going. Time was precious and every moment they could spare together even more so. Saya decided to let it slide and greeted him with a cute smile in return.
‘ It has been a while, indeed, you bastard–my bastard though!!’ Her inner dialogue in reply made her genuine chuckle and automatically she hid her face behind the sleeve of her kimono. Aw!! It was good to see him finally and she hooked her arm in his. Her large violet eyes looking up at him and to lead them to wherever. The destination didn’t really matter–well… it did but… she trusted him OKAY!!

“Hijikata-san was scary, wasn’t he?” “Well, he was practically a demon. A demon!”

Second movie announced for November 17th.
kurogane-no-shounen:
He looked surprised yet happy that his friend was so eager to drag him into a new adventure, though he wasn’t sure what she wanted him to do, “You want me to go to play, or throwing the coins like I did the other time?” The boy recalled the moment when he performed the ritual in a very unsual way like his father taught him to do, and how gladly Saya clapped after seeing such performance, “If you want, I can to teach you how doing it!”
Making his way through the high stairs upon reaching the torii or entrance of the shrine, Tetsunosuke gazed Saya again and gave her a signal with his hand so the kamuro may follow him.

“There, I’ll show how to do it!”
As she continued her way up the stairs, she made sure to not trip over her kimono. The sound of hard wooden sandals filling the air around them with their clacking on the solid stone steps of the stairs. If they were to play a game of stealth, she surely wouldn’t win with the noise they made. Her eyes still bright and eager as they were at the top of the stairs.
In a firm nod she replied back when he mentioned the coin throwing. It was quite spectacular to watch, even more exciting to learn it herself. When he said he’d show her, she clapped her hands together and cocked her head. Quickly she slid her hand in her long kimono sleeve and stuck out her tongue while she searched for her small purse and to take out a coin for him to use. She wasn’t going to allow him to spend his own if he were to teach her this trick. Nope.
There!! She got hold of her small purse and took out a coin while offering it to him--more like demanding him to take it…
