okay so i’m binging this one singer right now, Simon Curtis (i haven’t done much research on him yet so i’m sorry if he’s problematic or anything) and he’s openly gay. most of his songs are somewhat … intense, and often play with a kind of “dark” and “evil” scheme, some of his songs aren’t even about that anymore, but about straight up abusive relationships and escaping them. The comments under his songs however disgust me. they are made up of people going “imagine your otp” and “YAOIIII”. This is just … no. I get it, this dark thing fascinates you, and if it’s your kind of thing, then go for it but for god’s sake don’t bring yaoi/yuri to this and please don’t fucking do that on his songs about abuse. Just don’t. There’s a fine line between “a dark theme” and just a straight up abusive relationship. And don’t fetishize mlm like this and don’t fucking fetishize him like that just because he’s gay ffs.

No offence but do the freaks who constantly go on about loving incest and thinking its ~~SOOO HOT~~ actually get that like. This is a thing that happens in real life??? And its super bad when it does happen??? How long do you have to spend in the fandom bubble before you forget that real people go through this????

hey this is coming from someone that has been through a lot of shit with mental health. please don’t ever tell someone to die, to kill themselves, death threaten them or suicide bait them in any other way. it’s really harmful for people like me, even if that’s not directed at me.

I haven’t been suicide baited online i think, and if i’ve been, i’ve forgot. but i’m an anti and i’ve been spending a lot of time in this community and from what i’ve learned, this is getting better. since the whole ouma thing went down, i actually have a feeling that there are less death threats. but please, please, don’t ever do that.

This makes the entire community look bad, this gives those awful nasties something they can show us as “proof” that the whole anti community is bad and evil. yes, they are not right. yes, they will always dig out screenshots from 10 years ago.

but here’s another reason you shouldn’t do that, ever:

people who struggle with mental health will read that. people that don’t take part in your reblog chain will read that, people, whose mind tells them to kill themselves regularly. and i can tell you what those people think: “what makes me more valuable than this person? why shouldn’t i kill myself if this person should?”

they will think that even if they know that the person that was suicide baited was suicide baited in a fight (and even then, this does not give you any right to do that, not even as a “joke”. mental illness isn’t a joke. never.) they will still think that. they will still think that because guess what their brain is?

right, ill.

don’t ever, EVER suicide bait someone.
