damn... glad you posted about this. It's really sad but it's good to see a written out acknowledgement of what's going on in Hawkins culture at the time.

I have to say, now it's scaring me extra the way the Jaws poster was behind Mike when Mike was having his "best friends" talk with will. Hope its either a coincidence the way it lined up, or at least just light foreshadowing of Mike being queer and thus vulnerable to the "monster" and not foreshadowing something worse. (This quote has the word "jaws" and the demogorgon has been referred to as a shark before and ofc the jaws poster is in wills room, and has been)

so i was listening to the rebel robin podcast, episode 1, and around 17:00, robin and her gay english teacher start talking about will and barb and what happened to them.
