Mildly Interesting Dump #6
i built a miniature audience out of ads I got in the mail

Someone peeled off 20 years worth of subway ads to reveal this Road Trip poster, circa 2000.

This furniture hardware is sorted by step rather than by type.

My toothpaste came out looking like a nose

This pile of excavated fire hydrants.

My tour guide’s tool for picking up littered bottles along the trail.

My friends GIANT sunflower

The ‘scream’ on the wings of a butterfly in the wild in India

The ants in my garage built a bridge over my glue trap

My friend’s cat was recently put down, and the vet gave him this paw print of his cat that is full of flower seeds to be planted

My picture of today’s sunset looks like it is from GTA.

One cup of sand from every beach and desert I visited over the past 3 years.

This spot in my high school where people pivot on the stairs

The difference in lighting between my sister’s room vs my room at the exact same time of day.

This rainbow coming out of our dumpster.

My grandparents clock measures time on a one week scale instead of a 12 hour one

This rusty lock gate looking like a painting.

These huge blueberries I found.

I found an old picture my dad had drawn on Microsoft paint and printed out.

I found a mussel with natural goggly eyes

This unusual STOP sign

The book I was reading on the plane mentioned the flight I was reading it on.

This old apartment complex that’s now filled with restaurants and boutique stores in Saigon

A chain of convenient marts have begun installing blue fluorescent lights to prevent people from shooting up in them. (The blue lights makes it nearly impossible to find a vein.)

Sand sculpture I was lucky to see on my morning walk

Someone draws pictures on the whiteboard at my hospital with dry erase markers every week or so.

My statue of Zeus broke and now he looks like he’s throwing someone a roll of toilet paper

I extracted me and my husband’s brains from MRI images and he 3D printed them

My kitten has hearts behind her ears!

As many of you know, I recently purchased an Uruk-Hai scimitar.

Well let me tell you, it was quite the pragmatic purchase. It has endless uses in my morning routine.
Such as making the bed:

Making toast:

Getting things off high shelves:

Making coffee:

Reaching the remote when it’s too far away:

And assisting me when I ran out of toilet paper:

I don't know how I survived life without it.

Make. A. Fanfic. Out of this.
This is good material right here.
Don’t feel bad if you’re sensitive to negative feedback because apparently after one particular bad review Hans Christian Andersen was found just sobbing while lying face down in the dirt
clarifying new developments! Where did “June is canon!” come from?
if you’re confused where June Egbert came from on the first place, click here.
1) Andrew hussie releases a letter about the meaning of the epilogues and the future of homestuck, which i’ll link with spaces so tumblr doesn’t shadowban this post: ( https: //perfectlygeneric.fandom. com /wiki/ Episode_52:_Semiotics,_Bridges,_and_Off-Ramps ) that concluded with this, to signify the change of homestuck to an one man project to a team construct of new ideas and new writers.

2) The next day is AH’s birthday, and to commemorate he hides a box with a bunch of Toblerones (yes, the chocolate) for the fans in a cave. the origin of this idea are old pictures of him in said cave eating toblerones that used to be a meme. they’re signed and the spot is marked in a map, where people are supposed to find them. the first person to do so commemorates on twitter and adds that since they’ve proven to be conscious and invested, they wish for june egbert to be canon.

3) The day after that, after months of indirect social media silence (and stating on the pgenpod release that he doesn’t like to directly engage with the community) AH logs on to confirm said wish.

4*) while the comment reads as humorous, members of the WhatPumpkin writing team have previously commented in how AH likes this particular headcanon, and a good deal of them are supportive of the idea themselves- plus, a lot of the writers are trans. Thus, ‘june egbert IS canon’ is a pretty solid positive affirmation of authorial support. (and the reason why so many people came together to celebrate)
