Sims 4 Mystical Motherhood: The Occult Baby Challenge

This is a Sims 4 challenge still in the works! I will be adding more rules and conditions as we make our way through the challenge and hopefully by the time it’s over we will have a complete challenge! ;D Thanks for stopping by.

The point of this challenge for me was to see what the game offers with occults! I wanted to see which children got special traits, how they looked when they were born, the probability of the baby being an occult with a human mother, etc. It was a big experiment and I had so much fun with it. Unfortunately, it is close to impossible to do without mods and cheats. I also used a ton of occult cc to make the kids look like they we’re actually occult sims. How you want to play the challenge is up to you! This is just a guide on how I did it! 

I had no idea what was to come of this challenge when I started it so I ran into a lot of issues along the way. I had to use a lot of cheats and mods to get around some of the limits in the game. I have included below everything I had to do to get around these issues! I hope it helps. 

CHALLENGE OBJECTIVE: Have a baby with each of the occult sims in the game. Keep in mind in order to have certain occult sims you must own the expansion pack for it.

OCCULT SIMS: Vampire, Mermaid, Patchy the Straw Man, Flower Bunny, Alien, Spell Caster, Father Winter, Plant Sim, Island Elemental, Grim Reaper, Tragic Clown, Ghost, Servo Bot, Wishing Well (optional).

RULES: Create a human sim however you want. The only thing that is required is the sim must be able to get pregnant. Move your sim into any house. You may use money cheats if you want. Build a relationship with each occult creature in the game and become pregnant with their child. In order for you to be able to move a child out of the house they must reach level 5 in the skills that are associated with occult.

PACKS NEEDED TO COMPLETE THE ENTIRE CHALLENGE: Vampires, Get to Work (aliens), Island Living (mermaids), Seasons (patchy, flower bunny, father winter), Realm of Magic, University (servo), Romantic Garden (for the wishing well), Knifty Knitting (knitting skill), Outdoor Retreat (herbalism skill) City Living (singing skill), Spa Day (wellness skill).

CHEATS NEEDED/HOW TO ACCESS CERTAIN OCCULTS:

Grim Reaper: In order to be able to try for baby with the Grim Reaper you need to first build a relationship with him, add him to your family but SHIFT clicking on Grim and clicking “Add to Family". Then you must remove his reaper trait with the following cheat: traits.clear_traits

After that, you should have no problem trying for baby with Grim! After you become pregnant, you can add his reaper trait back with this cheat: traits.equip_trait GrimReaper

Island Elementals: To access the island elementals, your sim must have the “child of the islands trait”. Once your sim has this trait, you can click on your sim and the option for summoning the island spirits should be available. Click it, and the island elementals will come to your lot. Build relationships with one or all of them. In order to try for baby with the island elementals, they must first be added to your household. There is no way to have a baby while they are still in their ghost form so you must bring them back to life. You can either use the wishing well, ambrosia, or cheat it using mccc. Once they are human again, you can try for baby. The objective here is to have a child that has the ‘Sulani Mana’ trait inherited from the island elementals. 

Plant Sim: There are no plant sims walking around the world in the Sims 4, so in order for you to have a baby with one you will have to make it yourself. Choose a sim you would like to make into a plant sim. 

Sims can become Plant Sims by eating a Forbidden Fruit, which is obtained by entering the Mystical Magic Bean Portal Tree. You collect six magical beans (flirty, confident, sad, uncomfortable, tense, playful and angry) from rare seed packets. You then purchase the magical stump from build/buy mode and place the six magical beans on it. They can then water the stump for it to grow into the “Mystical Magic Bean Portal Tree”. You can also skip all of that and purchase the tree from the debug build/buy menu. By entering the tree, Sims can obtain the Forbidden Fruit through answering correctly a short text-based adventure. Once they obtain the fruit, Sims can eat it and become PlantSims or plant it and grow more Forbidden Fruits. Plant Sim lasts for 5 days.

Tragic Clown: Purchase the Tragic Clown painting from build/buy mode. Have your sim view it until the Tragic Clown shows up on your lot. 

Wishing Well: You can wish for a child with the wishing well from Romantic Garden Stuff Pack. Make an offering before wishing for a child or you may get a negative outcome!

Flowers to press in your BoS

Dogwood: My favorite choice. This is a strongly protective flower, especially for witches. It is known to help keep secrets, making it excellent for a Book of Shadows.

Lilac: A good flower to keep around during divination, it would be good for diviners to keep one handy. It is also known to help recall past lives, so if you keep a journal of your “Travels” it would also be useful to press one there

Lily Of the Valley: This flower is useful for a Grimoire in several ways. It is said to aid in memory, so keeping one pressed in your book is a good way to keep what you write fresh on your mind. They are also good at repelling negative energy.

Belladonna: Belladonna flowers act much the same way as a Dogwood. They are good for keeping secrets hidden.

Oval Frame

I like to decorate walls with a lot of paintings with different size and shape, but where are no oval frames in base game. So here is one of them. It is conversion of Hodgepodge Frames from sims 3 store Grandpa’s set.  Mesh was resized because I love cute and really small frames. Just use “shift+]” to make it bigger.

actually a very cool psychic trick, if you're trying to be a psychic:

I'm on a quest to rework my regular practices to become much lower energy.

Psychism - whether it be through Sight, Hearing, Taste, Touch, Smell, Knowing, or any of the senses - can be A) difficult to learn for the first time, B) draining, and C) often frustratingly symbolic or vague.

Today I remembered a trick I used to do :) it works really well.

Don't open your mind to detect just whatever comes up. Instead, choose a very specific set of symbols and see whether or not they are activated.

Let's say you're playing a game with friends where you try and guess what element an object is charged with.

Reaching out and feeling whatever vibes come can be very symbolic, like "I sense depth and coolness, darkness. I get the same feeling as looking at a mountain drenched in rain. But there is a strong flow here that moves everything..."

Try not doing that. We all agreed at the start of the game there would only be the four classic elements used, right? So why are you trying to see whatever vibes? You just need to see one of four things: a symbol of earth, air, fire, or water.

Specifying to yourself what each elemental symbol looks like, then reaching out to see which one appears to you: "I see an inverted triangle and the color blue."

It sounds stupid simple but it works ridiculously well.

Don't accept all input and then put the onus on yourself to interpret it. Choose a highly limited symbol set, and see which symbol appears.

Need to check on whether or not an object is charged? Maybe you can choose the numbers 1 through 3. If you hear "One," the object is without charge. If you hear "Two," it's moderately charged; "Three," fully charged.

A game where you check each other's emotions? Tell yourself what to do. Tell yourself what symbol sets are allowed. Maybe you just tell yourself, "look, remind me of a memory where I felt or observed as near to that emotion as we can get."

Just tell yourself what kind of symbolism you want!

This works for spirit contact too. "Tomato, you're showing me a desert but I don't know if that's because you need to dry out or because you're too dry. Please show me water if you want water, or a desert if you want to dry out, or food if you need fertilizer."

In a big way, psychism is just establishing a mutual language between you and the hidden world :) it can become a lot easier if you define and explain symbol sets that make sense to you - whether you are defining them to yourself or to the spirits around you.

"I've started to get strange psychic input since I began my practice but I don't know what it means, how do I find out?"

Maybe the spirits/your subconscious are working on trial and error just as much as you are! Establish and communicate what things you understand and are prepared to receive.

If you want tips:

Choose small symbol sets. You can have lots of them, after all. You don't need one all-encompassing symbol set for every kind of reading you do.

It is helpful to have a "not here" or "something else" symbol in each set :)

Brazilian Mythical Creatures

The Ofcial Guide

Most of the witchcraft pratice usualy runs around nordic and wicca culture, wich is not a problem. But as a latina witch, my pratice involves very diffrent beliefs. So I decided to share a little bit of my country's culture along with my pratice.

So here you are about to know the magical creatures of the brazillian forests. Most of them have African culture involved due to our contry cultural mixing.

1. Curupira

The Curupira is a young indian boy who has fire like hair and feets turned to the backside of his body. He is a very ancient protector spirit of the forest yet he looks like a boy. He runs trough the forest in silence, making fake trails with his footprints to confuse the hunters and colonizers and protect the indian tribes. As only the native people used to know him, the eroupean explorers didn't knew he had his feet turned to back, so they alway followed his footsteps to the wrong side and end up lost in the dangerous wild forests.

2. Cuca

Here is one of the most famous Brazilian witches, and yes! She is an alligator. Not a crocodile, these are from other places, much like Africa and central/north-america. In Brazil we only have aligators, thank godess! (And no, they are not the same animal!). On the oposite of us, very lovely witches, Lady Cuca is a very, very mean sorceress. She has a monstruous voice and is in one of our most popular lullabies. Her purpouse is to kidnap mean children when they don't sleep at night and eat'em. She has a big cauldron through which she can see anything.

The song says "sleep, little baby! Or Cuca is gonna get you! Your mother is at the farm and your daddy is gonne to work". As you may notice, the song is supose to be sang by Lady Cuca herself. Very scary for a baby, right?

Obs: The cuca is only represented as an alligator by Monteiro Lobato in his tales, O Sítio do Pica-Pau Amarelo.

3. Boitatá

Boitatá is the name of another ancient forest spirit. Its a giantic fire snake. It protects the woods from those who plans to destroy it, specialy if trying to burn it. It surely seems to be a very lovely creature, but anyone who looks at it gets immediately insane and blind. It has the power to turn into a burning trunk to fall on the harmers and kill them. (I guess probably because this way it can avoid getting possible inocent witness blind and crazy). Sometimes it might almost look like a perfect normal snake, but it's eyes are always on fire.

There is a big chance it's a she. A female snake.

4. A Mula Sem Cabeça (The Headless Mule)

Poor thing! Attention here, girls! Any virgin girl who acept to marry a priest might end up like that. Once a virgin lady says yes to a man from the church and acept his engagement ring, she becames a headless mule. The ring turns into a collar arond the animal's neck. And she can only turn back into a human if someone takes it of. Too bad there's always a huge flame coming out of it, so hot that no one is able to get close. In other versions, if a lady has sex with a priest she becames a headless mule.

5. Saci Pererê

No one is sure if there is one or more of those. But at least one we all have met. This guy is a very fun fella. He has one less leg and jumps arond in his red clothes and his magic red hat, "carapuça" in portuguese (it's a special kind of hat and he can take anithing out if it). He can also travel trough whirlwinds, small ones usualy. The thing is that he takes a lot of dirty and leafs whit him, that's for sure. His hobbies are changing sugar and salt's places so everyone in the house have sweet beans and salty coffee. And stealing things from people, specially pipes, he loves pipes! Enough said, he is a trickster (or they are). He enjoys making a mess, but he also can bring lots of help if you make frinds with him, but, to be honest, he would trick you anyways. In moonless nights, far away from the city, you can hear him whistle and laugh!

6. Lobisomem (Werewolf)

As in other cultures people turn into werewolves from another werewolves bites and other contagious metods, in Brazil we believe that a werewolf borns when a couple after having seven daughters has the first son. Seven older sisters might get anyone angry but in this case its a little more complicated. Every full moon, the werewolf gotta run troght seven cemiteries, seven crossroads and seven church's yards. In his human days he feels always very sick and dizzy, tends to get drunk all the time because off the pain and confusion. Even in our culture the only way to kill him is a silver bullet, but we have a special secret: the way to cure him. Covering a bullet in a church's altar candle's wax and shoting (in a non-fatal spot, obviouly)! If trying, I wouldn't recomend a silver bullet anyways.

7. Iara Mãe D'água (Iara, mother of the waters)

We do have lots of mermaids in Brazil, but not all of them are royalty. Iara is a very beautiful mermaid princess, all tough we have countless beautiful beaches, she lives in the contry's rivers. She used to be a very powerful warrior indian, till the day her brothers decided to kill her because they were envy of her abilities. But as a great warrior she defeated them, killing each one. When her Dad found out what she did, he trown her into the river in a full moon night. The fishes, who admired her beauti, decided to save the girl turning her into a mermaid. Since then she reings in a underwater realm and spend her days singing to atract men and take them there. Or maybe she just kill'em, thats also a possibility.

8. Boto Cor-de-rosa (Pink river dolphin)

The Amazonas river has a very special kind of sweet water dolphin that in portuguese we call "boto". But beyond the already amazing normal "botos" there is a even more special one. The pink dolphin. It is a very wise enchanted dolphin who in full moon nights can turn into a human. Trough this night he goes to parties and date the most beautiful ladies, almost always getting them pregnant. He dresses white clothes and is a very charming man, but in the next day he will desapear and never show up again. But that's just normal male behavior, no magic involved.

Yes, the pink river dolphins is a real brazillian animal and this is a real picture of it.

So, there you are! You have a nice desk and a bag from the Dollar Tree sitting next to it, filled to the brim with cute odds and ins. The only problem? You have no idea where to start for your altar. This is where this post comes in to help.

ELEMENTAL WITCHES: 

Fire Witches:

Candles, candles, candles! Any scents or colors will do for now, if youre just working with the element (though oranges and reds will give the space an extra boost)

Cinnamon: it helps if you need to speed spells up, it is also an herb that is associated with fire. Really any “spicy” herb will do.

Athme: a daggar or knife will also do the trick. 

Crystals: Amber, Sunstone, Carnelian, Obsidian, Agate, Ruby, Garnet, Red Jasper, Bloodstone

Steel, Glass, and Brass as metals

Dragon imagry

Air Witches:

Bells

Incense

Bubbles

Ribbons

Chimes

Crystals: Mica, pumice, fluorite, turquoise, diamond

As always, these aren’t the only ways to make an elemental altar. your craft is unique, so you may add whatever you feel is fit to be apart of your craft. some general things to add on your altar are: salt, altar cloths, a form of divination (like tarot cards), incense holder, wax warmer/candles, any religious or holy objects, forms of cleansing (salt water, salt, bells, etc.) and anything else that will help you in your path.

MAGICK NOTES:

Introducing water magic to everyday life is the easiest of all the elements!

While making tea, imagine putting good energy/intention into it and then drink it to have a good day! Afterwards (if you have time and skills) you can feel free to do divination, using leftover tea leaves.

While taking a bath/shower in the evening, imagine the water pouring onto you to be white/light in color and the water dripping off of you to be black/greyish color. I use it to cleanse myself of all the negative energy.

Looking into mirror as a divination is a very disturbing experience for me! Like, it’s effective, it can get weird though.

Water in a spray bottle can be used for space cleansing if you don’t wanna use incense all the time. Also it’s good for the indoor plants if you have any! 

Washing dishes is another ritual of mine and it’s a good way to meditate. I just get lost in thought. 

If you want to practice water magic, follow moon phases and use them to your advantage! 

Water magic is not necessarily only gathering water and using it, but also perfoming spells or doing anything spiritual during specific weather conditions (ex.: raining, storm, snowing, hail stones).

TYPES OF WATER USED IN SPELLS:

Moon Water - great for all kinds of spells and craft! Moon water can have different abilities, all depending on during which moon phase we charged it in. The best water is the one charged during full moon or super moon as it is the most powerful. 

Sun Water - keywords: positivity, strenght, happiness, courage, good health. 

Rain Water - good for cleansing, meditation and relaxation. Keywords: growth, regeneration, cleansing, rest.

River Water - good for warding or spells with a clear goal as river water has a focused energy. Keywords: movement, action, flow.

Lake/Pond Water - I find it good for connecting with nature or animals. Could be used in animal magic. Keywords: wildness, nature, hidden, isolation.

Swamp/Mud Water - good for curses, hexes, binding, wishing someone bad health. Keywords: disease, dirty work, sticky, messy.

Sea Water - good for protection, banishing and any form of spell that needs powerful but calm energy. Keywords: vastness, life, fear.

Dew Water - keywords: vulnerability, peace, refreshing, delicate, calm, waiting. Good for Fae communication or any creature that is elusive.

Storm Water - good for spells that needs a lot of power. Be warned though, it’s very different from the sea water; it’s uncontrolled, chaotic and doesn’t last long. There’s a lot of anger and destructive energy.

Ice/Snow Water - keywords: endings, change, patience, harmony, growth.

Cemetery Water - good for necromancy, of course. You can put some in a spray bottle and spray it in a room in which you want to communicate with the dead. 

Well Water - keywords: wishing, domesticity, home, family, community. Could be good for communicating with spirits/creatures living near or in your house. 

Fog/Mist - keywords: invisibility, mystery, hidden, blindness. Spells including ‘clouding someone’s judgement’, those in which you want to stay anonymous as much as you can or those who will slowly start working over time.

Astralling with ADHD, or How To Astral When You Can’t Meditate

alright, so this is something i’ve struggled with myself for years before finally finding a method that worked for me. and since this post is mainly aimed at my fellow ADHD peeps, i’m not gonna drone on for too long because i hate walls of text just as much as you, so let’s get right to it

here’s tips based on how i, after 5 years of meditative failure, finally reached the astral with my ADHD brain:

put on some wordless music, on headphones if you can. it doesn’t have to be special meditation music, anything you can loop seamlessly works. this will help to narrow your focus even just a little bit. (although, it works best if it’s not music you really love, bc then you might focus on that instead)

don’t try to quiet your mind. don’t try to think of nothing. don’t aim for the silence. it doesn’t work for us, and it’s not even the correct way of meditation but that’s another post entirely.

don’t stress over trying to imagine yourself going “down”, or floating, or whatever else guided meditations and astralling help posts might say. or i mean, do, but if you’re reading this post i assume that didn’t work for you already. it didn’t work for me. it never has.

now here’s the hot tip: actively think about the astral. let yourself have these thoughts. be excited. steer your excitement for reaching the astral and all the things you will do once you get there.

it’s fine. think about it! see it!! my personal stream of consciousness tends to be “omg the astral yass let’s do it let’s dive for it boys im READY here it comesss woot woot beep beep ASTRAL TIMEEEE” and the like. just keep that shit going for as long as you can.

the essence of this method is consciously hyperfocusing on the astral, until you basically eject yourself into it.

that’s it. that’s the post. you can stop reading here if you want.

believe it or not, for us with easily distractible restless ADHD brains, an active stream of consciousness is how we can find focus. it’s how we can “dive deep”. i don’t even worry about my breathing either bc i get excited super easily and my heart’s always going a million miles a minute, ESPECIALLY when i’m in the astral bc that shit is just exciting, period.

for me, the first time i tried this, i suddenly saw a key. i didn’t think of it, it just appeared, floating before me. i imagined myself picking it up and it… didn’t work. suddenly just imagining things wasn’t enough. i had to put conscious effort into reaching for it before i felt that i had it in my hands (and yes, the entire time my brain was going “oh shit, we pickin up the key oh damnn oh it’s in me hands now oh heck!!!” lmao).

once i did, just as before, completely unprompted, a door appeared before me, and boy oh boy did i fucking lunge for that shit, breathing totally out of whack, heart pounding, my mind screaming in excitement, but did i do it? did i get to the astral, finally, after so many years of thinking it was unreachable for me?

yeah, i fucking did. and you can as well. hyperfocus on it, let your wandering brain do all the wandering it wants, ENCOURAGE it to do so.

the results might just surprise you.

Witch Tip: Astral Travel

A relatively easy way to begin astral traveling is with meditative imagining. This method allows a safe way for your mind and body to get used to the experience.

Create a safe place in your mind. Whatever you choose, it must remain fundamentally consistent, even if you change the content. It could be a house, a play ground, a field or a cave. Anything at all as long as there is a set edge or boarder. Mine for example is a birch Grove, but occasionally I will add a pond to swim in or a stone altar.

When meditating, imagine yourself there. The feel of the air, the grass or stone, are their animal sounds? What is the decor like? Make it as vivid as a fond memory. Sink into that day dream. Eventually things in the background will move or function without your thought, and you will focus less on your physical body.

This is a safe space half way between here and there. You can practice abilities and learn who your astral self is. When you feel ready, imagine a way out. A door, a tunnel, an archway of trees. Before leaving,make sure your astral haven is heavily warded so only you and those you explicitly allow can enter.

I’ve been both hesitant and too lazy to write this up, but here it goes (for better or worse)

Ways of Astral Travel

There are various ways of Astral Travel. The most common ways that I hear of are through

lucid dreaming 

meditation

day dreaming

they’re definitely some of the “easiest” methods for those who are comfortable with controlling dreams, meditation, relaxation, and concentration.

I, personally, find that these methods are easier to do with the assistance of an outside substance like alcohol, or the action of sleep deprivation. I’ll talk more about these in a bit~ 

With these three ways, the use of visualization, concentration, and relaxation are important. You must be able to sit still and focus. Using your mind’s eye (visualization) is an important part and needs lots of concentration. 

From things I’ve read, people typically have a “focus point” that acts as their entrance into the astral. For some it is a door, for others it is a gate, for others its fence, etc.

The Focus point will differ for everyone due to what works best for them. 

When I do my fence hopping, my focus point is a mirror, in which I will use to switch perspectives (I’ll talk more about this later~)

Our Realm — In Between Place—- Other Realms 

The “astral” plane is made up of various different realms. In order to get from one realm to another, one must (but not always due to the large amount of variants that can occur) go through the “in between place”. Its the “empty” space/extra space that the realms in the “Astral” plane exist in. 

Its like going down a hallway to get from one room to another, or using the stairs to get from upstairs to downstairs. Its like a transportation area to move from one realm to another (though variants do exist).

To get from one realm to another, you should (as an example) exit the door, go through the hallway, and open another door.

Remember the holiday trees found in “The Nightmare Before Christmas”? Imagine the area right beyond the door and before the new holiday area as the “in between place" 

The old way of how I used to Travel

When the "Common” methods just don’t work

You’ve tried for a while. Lucid dreaming, meditation, trying through day dreaming, but nothing seems to work!

Fret not, it is like most things not everyone can do things the same way as others do. Just like I can’t feel comfortable doing something like others do, the same can be said with astral travel.

Not every one method will work for every person. 

Just like with many things, you will need to find the method that works best for you. Now, what are some alternative ways?

Trance Methods 

Trance methods are some different ways that can induce astral travel. 

What are some various trance methods? You can easily google different  trance inducing methods. A few of them include

fasting

sleep deprivation 

special teas 

dance

ceremonial ritual 

use of psychedelic drugs (I would suggest using what is legally available to you, and to always check with a doctor/expert)

the inducing through painful or relaxing activities (jogging, getting a massage, etc) 

the use of music

My advice for those having trouble with “traditional methods” of astral travel

I want you to know that there are various different ways to astral travel, all of the ways are equally valid and effective for the individual person. If one method isn’t working, I would try another and another. There are a thousand different ways to paint a painting, but all of them end with a painting no matter what c:

UPG stuff: Astral Travel, as I see it, is the movement of your astral self across the astral. Its not a dream (a dream is when you merely are inside yourself or traveling within your own mind). You actively leave yourself to go somewhere else. The act of leaving your body (whether or not you leave this realm doesn’t matter) and enter into the astral. 

You are on a different level of perception, a level that our physical self have trouble perceiving on a normal day-to-day basis. 

The Astral Self

We all have different Selves. The physical self, the dreaming self, the astral self, etc

Some believe the astral self is our spirit our “soul”. That when we lose our physical body, we are able to fully enter into the astral with nothing really keeping us hooked to the physical realm. 

I believe that our astral self is our energy. Our physical self is the temporary container that holds our energy as it is “shaped”. 

Our Physical perception and awareness is limited

Because of our physical limitations, we are missing much of the world around us. Without technology, we wouldn’t be able to see the microscopic world, we wouldn’t be able to see ultra violet lights, we wouldn’t be able to see planets lightyears away.

Our eyes only have 3 different color spectrums, so imagine all the things we are missing just because we can’t see them as the color they really are.

The astral self is able to see beyond our physical limitations. Its perception of reality could possibly be more accurate than how we physically perceive it. 

The dangers of astral travel

Yes, they do exist. The astral plane is not separate from the truths that we live with.

Horrible things still happen, but don’t forget that good things can happen too. 

Sometimes your actions dictate what happens to you, and sometimes shit just happens no matter what you do. 

Can we die in the astral? 

Yes we can. Death is present everywhere. 

law of conservation of energy states that the total energy of an isolated system cannot change—it is said to be conservedover time. Energy can be neither created nor destroyed, but can change form, for instance chemical energy can be converted to kinetic energy in the explosion of a stick of dynamite.

Remember what I stated before? Our astral self is our energy. Energy cannot be created nor destroyed (as we understand it). It merely changes form.

When your astral form is  "killed", you are not destroyed, but rather changed in some way.

Typically as I found it to be, your astral self will either be “respawned” in a new area of the astral, or in a new form (variants exist)

or you will be booted and synced back to your physical form (you return to your body). 

Can things enter your body? Your body is meant for you, so it is difficult for anything else to try and take it. Your body will usually try to reject the foreign object. It takes something pretty strong to take your body (or if you allow it, and even then its iffy). 

Even when you’re astral self is not within the physical self, you still own and control it. Its still yours. A trace of you will always be connected to the body. Its difficult to overcome that link and take control of the body (most things don’t bother due to the difficulty or are unable due to their limitations). 

Can things follow you back? Yes they most certainly can; however, you can use methods to prevent this and even make it mostly impossible. Some ways include

barriers

wards

sleep circles

glamour spells of invisibility 

sigils/symbols that make it impossible to follow

The Astral follows our basic rules that we follow everyday. 

My advice is to stray away from dangerous neighborhoods and to not give trust easily to strangers.

And importantly, don’t eat/drink/take something from a source you don’t trust (getting drugged is not fun).

Trust your gut and if something feels dangerous get away from it. 

Dangerous things exist there, but safe things too. Its just a place, in which many variants exist in. Expect many things, for many things exist.

Astral travel if you desire, but if you don’t want to (or are afraid) you don’t have to 

You do not need (in any way) to astral travel

Do what you want, do what you feel comfortable with, do what you feel safe with.

You won’t be losing anything from not traveling. Technically speaking, you’re still connected to the astral (as all things are). You just don’t travel.

And that’s a-ok. 

You can still interact with the astral without traveling, you can still travel without going through the astral, etc.

I think I’ve covered all the questions 

one last thing to talk about “Fence Hopping” its what I call my own way of “astral travel”

My astral self is split in two, in which one is within Arcadia and the other is with my physical body.

When I desire to travel, I merely switch perspective with the use of a mirror (hopping the fence between my selves).

my astral selves still act without my focused perception on them.

Astral Travel

This is the method I use for astral travelling, which was taught to me by a friend. Please keep in mind that this is only one of many methods, so if it doesn’t work for you, there are other methods to try! And, also keep in mind that it takes practice. I first tried astral travel as a fifteen-year-old, and after months worth of attempts I got frustrated and gave up and didn’t try again for like 10 years. But when I did try again, and had more patience, I found that I could finally do it! So be patient with yourself, try different techniques, and take breaks if need be.

To astral travel:

Wear loose fitting, comfortable clothing and find a quiet and peaceful place to lay down. Begin by regulating your breathing. A good rule of thumb is to count to 5 on the inhale and again to exhale until it feels natural. Next, relax each muscle in your body one by one, starting at your feet and working your way up to the top of your head and then back down. Continue to breathe evenly. Let yourself begin to fall asleep, but wake yourself up when you’re still in the state between waking and sleeping. Do this 4 or 5 times. Repeat the process as needed.

You should begin to feel your energy body vibrating, usually experienced as a tingling sensation on the physical body or parts of it. At this point, you’re ready to step out of your body. You can project yourself into the room or travel within this realm by envisioning the place you wish to go. Make sure to have a place in mind, or you’ll end up somewhere random and possibly dangerous. You can picture a place you’ve been, a place you’ve seen, or an archetypal location, such as a meadow, log cabin, or mountain side. Alternatively, you can travel to another realm within this plane.

Whenever you travel, you need to have a tether to get back. You can envision a literal tether, cord, rope, or thread. Or use an anchoring object, such as a crystal. It is also highly recommended to keep some sort of protection on your physical body, and a good idea to have some for your energy body as well. This can be a staff or wand, athame, a sachet of herbs, a crystal, or other protective object. Guides, deities, and servitors can help to protect you as well, physically and energetically. To bring you protection with you into the astral, make sure it is in contact with your physical body. Envision it in your hand (or wherever you keep it); see it, feel it, know its presence.

You can also travel to another plane, but you’ll need to be already familiar with it or have a guide, otherwise you risk getting lost and encountering dangerous beings and situations if you just wonder about.

To travel to a past life, you’ll need to first travel to the Records Hall (in the Akashic records). Start outside in the forest surrounding it, walk up the stairs, and through the heavy, wooden front doors. A record-keeper will meet you inside, a being which may or may not be humanoid. Ask them for your book; remember to say please and thank you. Once the book is in front of you, you may ask for a specific past life, or simply flip to a random page. Once your page is chosen, they will leave. (You will not usually be permitted to see anyone else’s book; it’s best not to ask. NEVER attempt to steal anything here.)

Next, step into the past life memory through any door except the front door (because this will bring you back instead). Remember the path you take for an easier way back out. Once there, you will see the memory play out like a movie. You can watch as a third party, or you can go into your past self and experience it firsthand. You cannot change anything here though, as it’s only a memory. Know that not all memories are pleasant. After the memory has finished, follow the path back to the door into the Records Hall and enter. Go through the building and back out the front door to return home. If you don’t remember your path or can’t find it, use your tether or anchor to call yourself back.

If you do get lost and don’t have a tether or way back, you may end up falling ill, feeling drained, or bring back an astral attachment. The same if you go without protection. Be sure to shield yourself when traveling, and if you do bring something back, cleanse yourself and banish it. Astral travel takes a good deal of energy, even for those well-versed in it. It is advised to have a light snack prepared (preferably with a bit of carbs) and water available.

These are 3 sigils that have the same purpose. The intent is, “I can visit my companions in my dreams.” Basically it’s intended to help one visit their spirit companions wall they sleep but in theory this should work if your companion wants you to visit them. It most likely will do nothing if they don’t want to be disturbed.

I’m one who likes to share so if anyone wants to give these sigils a try than go a head. I’d recommend charging the sigil and placing it under your pillow before going to sleep then think of which companion you wish to visit.

Personally I like to mix my sigils with crystals and herbs in a pouch to make the dreams a bit more vivid. Depending on the type of crystals and herbs you use it can help with recalling the dream when you wake up or helps promote the clarity of the dream.
