I've been going through my (900+!!!! jfc...) drafts and not sure why I saved these drawing ideas here but I'd completely forgotten about it and figured I could still post it. Some headcanons about early Zeb/Kanan/Hera interactions: Early Ghost crew where Zeb has just joined up. Lasan is still painfully fresh, he has frequent nightmares from both that and his time as a mercenary (bounty hunter??) where he basically lost himself in rage, blood, and violence. Both Kanan and Hera try to help him as best they can, keep him from losing himself to dark spiraling thoughts; they offer different kinds of comfort. Kanan is steadfast and firm, a solid presence that grounds him, pulls him from the darkness of his memories as a ruthless violent mercenary, counters the heavy guilt he feels over failing his people. Hera is gentle and soothing, a balm to the jagged, piercing pain of all the loss he carries with him, his family, his friends, his home.
