To say I had been having a hard day would be an understatement.

It started off badly when I found out I had saved an alarm for 7pm instead of 7am the night before. The alarm was for an exam I had that day - I had stayed up all night revising for it. Yoongi and I had decided to go on a date afterwards to celebrate, and I had planned to wake up early to get some extra work in.

But instead, I woke to my phone ringing and a friend in my class asking if I was okay, and where I was, because the test was about to start. I threw on some clothes and barely even locked the door before I was running to my college, knowing the bus would take too long. I arrived, sweaty and barely awake, just in time for it.

But my rush of a morning and anxiety levels that were already off the charts meant I had a complete mental blank in the middle of the test, and forgot everything I had stayed up so late cramming into my head. I almost cried when I handed the paper in, knowing without even getting it back that I had failed, and thinking about how important it was to my final grade. I pushed back tears, knowing I just had to get through the rest of the day before I could see Yoongi.

However, my optimism was quickly crushed when I realised that I had forgotten to bring my money in, so I couldn’t buy any lunch, and with the speed that I had got dressed and left this morning, I hadn’t even had time to eat. On top of that, I had a huge argument with my friend after the exam. It was about something stupid, but still hurt and upset me all the same.

By my last class, I just wanted to go home. The only thing keeping me going was the thought of seeing Yoongi, and just forgetting about everything else. As the day dragged on, my head and body began to ache, and the urge to cry became more and more prominent. All I wanted to do was get home.

Then I missed my bus. It might not seem like the biggest deal, but with the rain that had begun pouring down, and the difficulty I was already having at even getting enough energy to walk, it pushed me over the edge. Everything seemed to pile up as I watched the bus drive off and stood in the rain, knowing all my books were getting soaked, and I would have to walk the whole way home. There wouldn’t be another bus for an hour. I ran my hands through my hair, groaning, and felt my eyes sting. A lump formed in my throat and I gritted my teeth in an attempt to stop myself from crying.

I stood there for a moment, my mind blank. It was almost an involuntary movement as my fingers shakily reached for my phone, sheltering the screen from the rain with my other hand as I squinted to dial Yoongi’s number.

“Hey,” He answered casually, and I could tell from his voice that he was smiling. I let a tear slip from my eye as I blinked, and it clung to my eyelashes along with the raindrops, before falling and tracing a hot pattern down my cheek. I tried to smile, but my lips were shaking and the lump in my throat only grew at the sound of him speaking.

“Hey,” I said back, my voice wavering. “Would you mind doing me a favour?” I knew my voice was high pitched and shaking, despite how hard I was trying to keep it steady. I just wanted the day to be over.

“What is it?” He asked quickly, and I knew he had heard the tremor in my voice; the tears that had built up in my eyes again.

“Can you come get me?” I ducked my head away from the rain, feeling my top begin to soak through.

“Of course. Where are you?” His voice held a hint of panic, but he remained calm and as soothing as ever. I could hear him moving, probably already walking towards the door.

“I’m at the bus stop outside college.” I almost whispered, trying to calm down my breathing and still my shaking hands. I couldn’t stop replaying the events from the day, my mind running over every stupid thing I had done.

“I’m on my way, baby, do you want me to stay on the line with you?” I let a sad smile lift up the corners of my mouth at how sweet he was. As much as his voice was calming me down, I didn’t want him to talk to me and drive at the same time.

“No, don’t worry, just focus on driving. Thank you so much.” I whispered, my teeth beginning to chatter.

“I’ll be there soon, okay? Just hold on.” I nodded even thought he couldn’t see me, and put my phone away when he hung up. I was shivering all over by then, both from my anxiety and the cold. The street was completely deserted and I sighed shakily, feeling the water begin to drip down the back of my neck, praying for Yoongi to get to me as soon as possible.

It was almost fifteen minutes before he came. Not that it was his fault, of course, but by that time I couldn’t even feel my fingers, and I was completely soaked. Yoongi’s car rounded the corner and slowed beside me, and I quickly got in, barely able to shut the door with how badly I was shaking. He started driving almost as soon as I was inside, but looked over at me worriedly as he did so.

“Y/N.” I heard him say as he took me in, and he grabbed my hand, taking a sharp breath in when he felt my skin. “You’re so cold, oh my god.”

I started crying, overwhelmed by the warmth inside the car, and suddenly thinking about how I was probably ruining his seats with my soaking clothes, along with everything else clouding up my head.

“Oh, Y/N, baby, no.” He breathed, clutching my hand tighter, keeping his eyes on the road but glancing at me with a pained expression. “Just breathe okay, you’re fine, I promise. Everything’s fine.”

I nodded, hunched over, trying to keep as little of me on the seats as possible. The whole way back he spoke slowly and reassuringly to me, never letting go of my hand. I began to calm my breathing, feeling his effect wash over me. By the time we got home I wasn’t crying anymore, just exhaustedly sniffling, still shivering from my wet skin and clothes.

We hurried inside, through the rain, and I gasped at the warmth inside Yoongi’s apartment. I wiped under my eyes, shaking out my shoes, embarrassed at how I was behaving. He slipped off his own shoes before turning to me.

He sighed again at the sight of me and gently took my head in both his hands, pushing my face into his chest, ignoring the way my soaking hair began to stain his shirt.

“Come on.” he took my hand and began leading me upstairs, still shivering. “Let’s get you out of those clothes.”

He sat me down on the bathroom counter, helping me out of my soaking trousers. I felt pathetic, and uncomfortable, and kept my head down as he pulled off my socks gently, hands warm agains my frigid skin.

“Arms up.” He commanded softly, and I obliged, too tired to even respond. He gently pulled my shirt off and put it in the hamper with the other clothes. He kissed my forehead quickly.

“I’ll be back in a second.”

A moment later he came back in with some of his own clothes, and helped me pull them over my still shivering body. In his hoodie and sweatpants, I followed him into the bedroom, where he pointed at the bed, not saying anything. I followed wholeheartedly, practically falling into the covers and letting out a sigh of relief at the warmth that I was enveloped in.

I was much calmer by the time Yoongi came back in, my breaths even and my eyes tired. I gave him a grateful smile as he placed a mug of hot chocolate on the table beside me, without a word. He walked over to the other side of the bed, getting in and opening his arms.

I sighed again, happily moving closer and letting him wrap his arms around me, rubbing up and down my back slowly as I pushed my face into his chest.

“What happened?” He murmured, pressing his cheek against the top of my head. I closed my eyes, frowning.

“I just had a really, really bad day.”

It sounded stupid, but he hummed in response, tracing his fingers up my spine.

“Wanna talk about it?”

I shook my head against him and felt him nod, pressing a kiss to the top of my head.

“Okay.”

“I’m sorry.” I muttered, thinking of the date we were supposed to have, and his car seat, and how he now had to take care of me.

“No, no.” He spoke softly, tightening his arms around me. “Don’t be, okay?” He tilted his head back to see me, and I looked up at him, meeting his eyes. After a moment he leaned down and pressed a delicate kiss to my lips, barely touching, and then one to my nose, before wrapping me up again. He didn’t say anything more, but he didn’t need to. I knew just through his actions everything he was telling me: he loved me, and supported me, and just wanted me to be okay.

I found his hand and took it gently, tightening my grip around him with a small smile. The day became less significant - almost forgotten about - and the things that had seemed so terrible didn’t seem as important as I breathed him in, my body relaxing against his side. He brought my hand to his mouth and pressed his lips against the back of it gently.

“How did I get so lucky?” I murmured, and he let out a soft chuckle, running his fingers through my hair and down to my waist.

“I could ask the same thing.”

Crazy In Love

image

Requested by anon : I would like a scenario where you have a crush on kai but have never been matched until you start pretending to be dating oh sehun and kai start to realize that he is very jealous of you with someone else✌️🌼

.

.

.

Pairing : Kim Jongin / Reader ft. Oh Sehun

Genre : Angst, fluff

Words : 3k [wow this is very long hhhhh]

You plastered a smile on your face, albeit a fake smile but a smile nonetheless, at the girl Jongin just presented to you as his girlfriend. The two of them seemed oblivious to the fact that your smile was fake, the girl even going as far as pulling you into a hug. This took you by surprise a small ‘umph’ leaving your lips. You looked towards Jongin, a grin on his face was all you go in return. With a sigh you patted her on the back awkwardly, an equally as awkward chuckle falling from your lips.

“It’s so nice to meet you, Jonginie has told me so much about you!” She exclaimed enthusiastically.

“Jonginie?” You repeated back in confusion, looking over at Jongin with an eyebrow raised.

The grin was still on his face as he simply shrugged. He wasn’t going to say much was he? You thought to yourself, bringing your attention back to the girl in front of you talking animatedly. You tried to show that you were interested in what she was saying, whether you actually cared or not didn’t really matter. As she continued to talk, non stop and leaving you barely any room to say anything, you started to zone out. You started picking apart all of her physical faults. She wasn’t all that pretty in the face and her body was alright but nothing too spectacular. You noticed her arms was a bit too long for her body as they hung awkwardly at her sides. You knew you should feel bad about judging her outer appearance but you couldn’t help it, not to mention from what you’ve gathered over these past few minutes it seemed like she only cared about herself. She didn’t seem one bit interested in anything you had to say, as long as she was able to continue talking about whatever it was she wanted she seemed happy.

Jongin really could do so much better.

You gave her a tight lipped smile when you noticed that she had asked you a question. You didn’t quite catch what she said, asking her to repeat her question. You didn’t miss the way she rolled her eyes before asking if you’d like to go on a double date sometime. Yup, I don’t like her, you thought to yourself.

“Uh…babe, Y/N doesn’t have a-”

“Sure, I’d love to go on a double date! Tell me when and where, Sehun and I will gladly meet the two of you there.”

At the sound of his friend’s name Jongin’s eyes widened, “I didn’t know the two of you were going out?”

“Uh yeah…it just sorta happened…” You trailed off, rubbing the back of your neck nervously.

“Since when?” Jongin asked, something off about his tone of voice.

“Since two weeks ago? We weren’t sure if it was actually going to go somewhere so we didn’t really bother telling you.” You said, surprised at just how well you were able to lie to him like you just did.

He didn’t seem to catch on to your lie, something in between hurt and another emotion you couldn’t quite put your finger on swimming in his eyes, “So much for best friends telling each other everything.”

You opened your mouth to say something but closed it, knowing if you said anymore you’d expose yourself. Instead you focused on his girlfriend who just so happened to start talking again.

……

“You what?!” Sehun exclaimed as soon as he entered your apartment.

You gave him a sheepish smile, putting your hands up in front of you to try and calm him down, “Sehun I can explain…”

“He’s gonna kill me…Y/N do you realize you just signed over my life?” He said, waving his arms around before rubbing his hands over his face.

You simply stared at him in confusion, tilting your head to the side, “What?”

“You really are dense aren’t you? Or are you just putting on an act?”

You punched him in the arm for that, Sehun wincing as he rubbing at his arm and walked over to plop himself down on my couch. You followed him, sitting down next to him.

“Why would you tell Jongin that we’re dating? You know how much shit he gave me over the phone? I don’t even want to know what he’ll do to me in person.” He sighed out, leaning forwards to rest his elbows on his knees.

“His girlfriend wanted to go on a double date…” You mumbled out, refusing to meet his eyes.

“And the only person you could think of me?!”

“And what’s so wrong with dating me, huh?! Is it really that terrible?!” You yelled out, getting frustrated with how he was overreacting.

He sighed, his face softening , “You know that’s not what I meant…”

“I know…I just panicked alright? His new girlfriend wanted to go on a double date and the only other guy I could think of was you…”

“Well I am a catch…is this your not so subtle way of saying you want to date me?” He asked with a smug look on his face.

You let out something in between a scoff and a laugh, resisted the urge to reach over and slap that look right off his face, “So…are you gonna go with it…”

“How long have we been dating again?”

“Two weeks.”

He nodded, suddenly clapping his hands together, “We need to get our story straight if we’re gonna pull this off.”

You smiled over at him, glad that he was more than willing to go along with your lie.

-

Sehun and you had been going over a lot over the past few days. You two had to be as natural as possible when you met Jongin and his girlfriend. Honestly speaking you didn’t even bother learning her name, thinking it wasn’t really worth your time. That backfired when the day of the double date came and you totally blanked when introducing Sehun to Jongin’s girl.

“Somin…nice to meet you.” She said, introducing herself and shaking Sehun’s hand.

She grinned up at him whilst Sehun just stood there awkwardly, avoiding eye contact. Her gaze went from him to you, the smile on her face falling slightly, “I would never have guessed that someone like you would be with someone like Y/N…”

Sehun looked down at her in bewilderment, his hand squeezing mine, “Excuse me?”

“I mean it seems like you’re way out of Y/N’s league.”

Sehun scoffed at that, “Y/N is the one that’s out of my league. Y/N is a way better choice than someone that’s rude and self centered.”

Now it was her turn to scoff, turning to Jongi and waited for him to say something, which he didn’t. This was typical Jongin, he always hated conflict so he chose to just ignore it. This didn’t sit too well with Somin as she stormed off.

“Seriously Sehun?” Jongin asked incredulously before following after Somin.

You had watched this happen wordlessly, hiding slightly behind Sehun’s broad back. You watched Jongin chase after Somin, your heart constricting at the sight. He didn’t even think to put Somin in her place when she blatantly insulted you but just because Sehun answered her jab with a jab of his own Jongin was suddenly worried about her feelings.

“Some best friend…I mean how is he just gonna sit back and watch his girlfriend insult you like that?” Sehun said as he turned to face you only to see you staring after Jongin, “You two really are idiots…”

You looked over at him at that, Sehun shaking his head as he brought his hands up to cup the sides of your face, “Forget what she said, I mean I am out of your league but that’s none of her business.”

You rolled your eyes at that, punching his stomach playfully as you let a small smile grace your face.

“I got a beating in the process but I at least got you to turn that frown upside down.” He said with a gentle smile, “Now come on, you just have to get through these next few hours and then we can go back to your place and you can stuff your face with all the ice cream you want.”

The next few hours were…something. Every minute that passed by in her presence you swore you’ve already lost more than a hundred brain cells. She never stopped talking throughout the whole date. Even now as the four of you were sitting in a booth enjoying your burgers she wouldn’t shut up. You had half a mind to shove the rest of her burger down her throat to get her to shut up. Jongin seemed to be genuinely interested in what she was saying…at first but as time went on you could tell even he was getting tired of hearing her talk.

“You know I’ve never had the thought of hitting a girl, but now I might just reach over this table and-” Sehun mumbled under his breath, only to be cut off as you reached over to grab his hand.

He looked over at you before sighing loudly and nodding, going back to eating his food. To lighten the mood a bit you reached over to steal some of his fries. He grabbed your hand before you could even touch his fries, a mischievous look crossing his face before grabbing a fry that was covered in ketchup and bringing it up to your lips. You squirmed in his grasp, letting out a small giggle as he smeared the ketchup over your lips before shoving the fry into your mouth. In retaliation you grabbed a handful of your own fries and forcefully shoved them into his mouth. You laughed at his gagging, knowing he was just over reacting. Without a word he slung his arm over your shoulders, bringing you into a headlock. To get away from him you rubbed your face against his shirt, smearing the ketchup that was on your lips onto his shirt. Sehun immediately let you go, whining about how you ruined his shirt.

“Oh calm down you big baby. You’re wearing a black shirt, you won’t even be able to see the stain.” You shushed him, reaching over the table to grab a napkin.

“But I’ll know it’s there.” He said with a pout.

You rolled your eyes, a small smile on your lips as you wiped the ketchup off his shirt. All this time the two of you were unaware of the two sets of eyes trained on you. Somin had stopped talking as she gaped at the both of you while Jongin had a deadly glare focused on the two of you, mostly at Sehun though. You two were oblivious to their stares as you were in your own little world so when Jongin suddenly announced that they had to leave the two of you looked over at him in surprise.

“What but I’m not-” Somin tried to argue with Jongin but he grabbed her hand and dragged her out of the restaurant, refusing to acknowledge her shouts of protest.

Sehun and I simply shared a look, not knowing what just happened. Sehun shrugged and continued to eat but you couldn’t help this unsettling feeling in the pit of your stomach.

-

Sehun had just dropped you off at your apartment, wanting to do a rain check for that ice cream he promised you. The two of you too exhausted to do anything else. You had just closed the door when he knocked on your door. With a groan you turned back around, opening the door.

“Did you forget som-” You started but cut yourself off as you noticed that it wasn’t Sehun at the door, but Jongin.

He said nothing as he invited himself in, walking straight into your living room.

“Yeah, no, come right in, it’s no big deal. It’s not like I was about to go to bed…it’s fine” You grumbled out to yourself as you closed the door and followed him to your living room.

He simply stared at you expectantly but you had no idea what he wanted. After a few good seconds of silence passed by he spoke up, “Well?”

“Well what? You’re the one that barged into my apartment.” You snapped out, suddenly feeling irritated.

“Sehun? Seriously? Out of all the guys you could’ve picked you picked my roommate?”

You sighed, combing your fingers through your hair, “Look I don’t have the energy to deal with this right now. You can crash on the couch or let your self out, I don’t really care.”

He reached out to grab your hand as you turned away from him, making you turn back to face him, “I’m not done talking. How are you just gonna see my roommate behind my back? We’re best friends for fucks sake! And from what I just saw it seems like the two of you have been dating longer than two weeks!”

You looked away from him, your tongue poking at the inside of your cheek as your irritation started to build, “Best friends? Yeah right. What kind of best friend lets his girlfriend insult me like she did, huh? Tell me, I’m all ears.”

He stayed quiet, his jaw clenching and unclenching as he tried to reign in his anger.

“At least Sehun had the balls to defend me while you just stood there and let her talk shit.”

“Just what did you expect me to say?”

“Anything! Not just stand there like an idiot and let her run her mouth! Oh but the moment she feels slightly insulted you run after her?! What a fucking joke.”

“Still how could you and Sehun-”

“Forget about Sehun dammit! This isn’t about him!” You yelled.

“It has everything to do with him! Why are you dating him?!” He yelled back, taking a step closer to you.

“And why the hell do you care who I’m dating?!” You shouted, taking a step closer to him as well.

“Because he’s not me!” He yelled, succeeding in rendering me speechless, “He isn’t me. I should be the one holding your hand, kissing you, defending you…not him.”

His words caused your heart to start beating at a million miles a minute, your breathing picking up slightly. It was just now that you became hyper aware of how close the two of you have gotten to the other. You took a step back but Jongin simply followed you, refusing to let you create any type of space in between the two of you.

“You know how hard it was to watch the two of you mess around like that at dinner? I was livid that he could just put his hands on you like that. I was pissed because of the smile that made its way onto your face because it wasn’t me that put it there but that damned bastard Oh Sehun.”

“J-Jongin…”

“I wanted nothing more than to drag him as far away from you as possible.” He said lowly, having backed you into the wall.

“Why–why are you telling me this?”

Your heart was racing. Having him this close to you was making you see double. The words that were coming out of his mouth making you dizzy. You knew what he meant but you refused to get ahead of yourself. The words he was saying now were words you always dreamt that he’d say for the longest time now. You’ve harbored feelings for Jongin for so long now you can’t even remember when it started. You just know that every little thing he did caused your heart to flutter and your stomach to do somersaults. You loved everything about him, from his smile to the way he scrunches his nose when he get embarrassed. All this time you had kept your feelings to yourself hoping he would just notice the different way you looked at him but he never did.

“Because…I think I’m in love with you. I don’t know when it started but seeing you with Sehun…I couldn’t help but feeling this overwhelming wave of jealousy wash over my entire body. I couldn’t stand the sight of you laughing and smiling at his every word. I only wanted you to look at me like that…and no one else.” He said, his voice barely above a whisper.

“What about Somin…?”

“I broke up with her the moment we walked out of that restaurant…”

You smiled softly, letting out a small sigh as you place your hands on the sides of his face, “You don’t know how long I’ve been waiting for you to finally notice me.”

With that you closed the space in between the two of you, your lips capturing his. You smiled against his lips when he responded to the kiss, pulling away after a few seconds. He held you close as he stared into your eyes, the love evident in his.

“What about Sehun…?”

You couldn’t help but chuckle, shaking your head, “We were never dating, I just asked him to pretend to be my boyfriend. I don’t see him as anything more than a friend.”

Jongin grinned at that, pulling me into another kiss, “I’m such an idiot. I can’t believe it took me so long to realise how I really felt about you.” He said as he pulled away, wrapping his arms tightly around me.

You couldn’t help but let out a small laugh, wrapping your arms around him just as tightly, “You are an idiot…but I wouldn’t have you any other way.“

A few moments of silence passed before I mustered up the courage to say the three little words I’ve been dying to tell him.

“I love you…”

“And I love you…” He whispered out, burying his head into the crook of my neck.

Bear Hugs & Kisses (Suga, You) Scenario

image

“I’ll just meet you there.” You said to your boyfriend, Yoongi, over the phone as he relayed how he had a free day and wanted to go out on a date with you at the mall.  “Are you sure? I can pick you up—“

"It’s fine Yoongi-ah. I have to drop of something first on the way there. I’ll see you in an hour alright?”

“Okay.” He sounded like he didn’t like the idea and it was evident in his tone when he whined, “Just hurry up. I miss you.”

You grinned at your boyfriend’s cuteness. He was never the affectionate type but was incredibly sweet at times. Maybe that’s why you liked him so much. He treated you in his own way and though the sweet moments were rare—it only made it more special.  “Arraseo, oppa.” You said rolling your eyes.

“Don’t roll your eyes at me.”

“Wha—I wasn’t!” You also love the fact how he knew you so well.

You heard him smirk over the line, “Whatever you say, jagiya.” He said and hung up.  You shook your head as you placed your phone down and prepared to go out.

Second Time Around

Description: Six months after your divorce, Jongin finds out you’re dating once again. It would’ve been okay with him until his son, Taeoh, chooses spending time with you and your new boyfriend instead of him.

You try not to cry. You try to pull yourself together in front of your lawyers and Jongin. But all of them could see your wide eyes begin to pool with tears. You held the pen in between your shaking fingers and pressed the ballpoint on the paper.

“Are you sure you want to do this?” you whisper soflty, your eyes search for any emotion in Jongin’s eyes. He looks away before you can read his expression.

“Yes,”

You sigh and with no more hesitation you scribble your signature all over the packet. A knot the size of a snowball began to form in your throat making it hard to even breathe. You felt Jongin’s gaze on you but you were too resented to look up at him.

“Can I go now?” You ask your lawyer. She looks over the packet and slides it over to you once again.

“There’s still the matter of your child,” Her voice is cautiously low as if you were a fragile girl that would’ve broken into tears if spoken to the wrong way. Perhaps you were. “If you sign here,” she points at the long line. “You agree to let Jongin be with Taeoh for three days out of the week, friday and the weekend.”

“Taeoh,” you whisper your son’s name. Memories of him playing with his father flooded in your head. The late night movie sessions and fort making contest. Taeoh would no longer have any of that. His life would be split.

You cradle your head in your hand, breathing in and out trying steady yourself. When you look back up again you catch Jongin’s eyes once again. By the slight redness on the edges of his eyes you knew that he was thinking about Taeoh too.

“I promised myself that if I ever had a child, he would live a happy healthy life with two parents that loved each other.” your voice cracks. “I didn’t know how hard it would be to keep that promise,” With one last flick of your wrist you signed that paper and legally parted yourself from Jongin. As soon as the door closed behind you, tears ran down your face.

“Taeoh, baby wake up.” You coo to your drowsy toddler. His eyes flutter open for just a second but they seem to be heavy for him to keep open because they close once again.
