Emotionless (Doctor!Seokjin x Patient!OC) Part 7
I AM SO SORRY THIS TOOK SO LONG PLEASE FORGIVE ME! In my defense, I’ve been busyish/sleep deprived lately with summer home work, plus I rewrote this part at least three times before I decided it was good enough. Also this part is extra long so please take this as an ‘I’m sorry’ gift xD I’m still not too thrilled with it, but I feel like I did the best I could~ I hope it’s enjoyable Genre: Fluff/Angst/Drama Words: 3,300+

❝ You sign up for a Christmas pen pal project to keep the boredom at bay over the holidays… but your pen pal partner might be a lot closer to you than you think… ❞
➸ prompt: You and I both sign up for a Christmas Pen Pal project to exchange postcards letters over the holidays.
➸ pairing: jin x reader
➸ warnings: contains a lot of terrible dad jokes
➸ requested by @felifli | 7.6k words | fluff, university au
Christmas is the most boring time of year.
It’s the time of year when your university friends all travel home to their family, leaving you alone on campus, lamenting over the price of plane tickets that stand between you and your home far away. It’s the time of year when you have the city to yourself, with no one to explore it with, wasting free hours in cafes, sipping on gingerbread lattes, and staring out the window at the skies that promise snow, but never deliver. It’s the time of year when the only conversation you get is with your family over Skype, asking you how you’re doing. And while you make sure to show a smile for them, as soon as they disconnect your face falls back to blank, losing all Christmas joy.
You’re desperate for this year to be different. You’ve piled up your work, asking to help with articles for the university newspaper, and planning to get ahead on reading for your course. But already the idea of three weeks with only work is freezing up your heart. Even if you won’t admit it.

Wake Up

“Seokjin, what is your problem?” you almost yelled.
“Nothing, okay?!” he growled back.
“That’s a lie, dammit! I’m your girlfriend, you can tell me what’s wrong!” You actually shouted at him this time, throwing your arms in an angry gesture. Jin had been brooding and grumpy since you had gotten to the dorm, and he was outright refusing to talk to you. He even lied, telling you that he wasn’t angry. You had tried to be nice; you two had never fought before now, and you were really scared. He was always sweet to you, and nothing had ever been argument-worthy with him. But you couldn’t stand the fact that he was blatantly lying.
“You’re going to tell me that I shouldn’t be angry,” Jin grumbled. He was sitting at the dinner table, his fists lightly clenched on top of the wood. He wouldn’t remove his gaze from the table, not even to look at your standing figure.
“What?” You sounded only half as hurt as you felt. Why did he think you’d react like that?
“You keep flirting with your other guy friends! It hurts to have to watch you with them, even when you’re with the other members. You’re always…” he trailed off, seemingly too upset to continue.
“I’m not trying to flirt with anyone,” you said, confused. Apparently you came off more defensive than you intended to, because Jin seemed really prickly then.
“Well, you are! ‘Oh, Oppa, you’re so funny! I can’t imagine living without you!’” he mocked you. You bristled at this.
“How dare you!” you snarled.
“Do what? Tell you how you act around these guys?” He finally looked up at you with a genuine look of disgust on his face. You felt tears well up as anger and indignation flooded you.
“No! How dare you mock me and put words in my mouth!”
“I bet that guy put something in your mouth,” he spat harshly, returning to his original position of glaring at the table. You gaped at him. The only sound that escaped your mouth was a choked imitation of “babo”, but you couldn’t get it out. You started to cry silent tears. You sniffed and shook, and at the sound, Jin twitched; he seemed to regret what he said, but you didn’t care. Your lips quivered from fear and from your restrained sobs.
“I’m going,” you whispered, turning on your heel before you could change your mind. You were mostly down the corridor when you heard his voice.
“Jagi, wait…! Jagi!” he tried to call you, but you kept walking away. You pulled on your shoes as he started to power-walk after you. “[F/N], don’t go!”
“Too late,” you hissed before you slammed the door shut. You thudded down the steps, and as your feet hit the asphalt, you heard the door open.
“[F/N], wait! I’m sorry!” Jin’s steps resounded behind you. You whipped around to face him, all of your senses blurry from hurt.
“Think really hard on what you want to say to me,” you growled, causing him to stop walking. “I will come over when you have some more sense.”
“[F/N]…” He looked defeated. You turned away once again.
“NO! [F/N], WAIT!” Jin’s almost carnal scream scared you, and you looked around wildly, trying to comprehend it. You heard him running, but you saw the headlights before he got close to you. The car’s horn and screeching wheels resounded in your head, mixing with Jin’s horrified voice. The impact knocked you unconscious immediately.
~…x…~
You couldn’t feel anything but your rapid heartbeat. The only sound was your heavy breathing. You tried desperately to see something, anything, but it seemed like you were flailing in a bottomless body of water.
Seokjin! you tried to call out. Your words got caught in your throat, and a fiery pain shot through your stomach. You tried to cough and splutter, but the thick liquid that surrounded you wouldn’t allow for it. You tried to scream, but it only put pressure on your ears.
Another sound resounded—a faint beeping thudded against the water. You felt like you were being dragged out of the liquid, up, up, up…
You tried to inhale, but you just… didn’t. You looked around the white room, but everything was fuzzy. Shapes finally came into focus, though, and you realized what was happening: you were in a bed, hooked to machines and an I.V. line. Jin was asleep at your bed, his arms folded to give him a makeshift pillow.
Seokjin, you choked out. Your voice had sound, but no substance. You were horrified at the sight in front of you. I’m not dead. I can’t be.
Jin woke up gasping; you realized he was sweating. His head swung back and forth as he checked around the room. He hung his head, looking at your comatose body and brushing your hair back. As he did, you felt a warm, feather-light touch against the same spot.
I can feel him. I’m not dead, you reassured yourself shakily. I’m not dead. You wanted to cry as you saw his eyes well up, but you were physically unable to do so. Seokjin… Seokjin don’t, you pleaded to no avail. He couldn’t hear you.
“It’s been a month, Jagi,” he murmured. He sounded in pain. You stood with something that felt like sickness in your heart. “Please, I love you, [F/N]…” He almost choked. You slumped to the ground, unable to comprehend your uselessness in this situation. You wanted to wake up more than anything in the world. You wanted to hold him and kiss him and tell him you were okay.
Wake up, you told yourself angrily. Wake up. Wake up. Wake up wake up wake up wakeupwakeupwakeup!
You heard Jin whimper, and it made you more determined. Wake UP! You felt a funny thudding in your chest.
“[F/N], I wanted to tell you that I…”
WAKE UP
You felt like you got punched in the chest, and you reeled back, gasping. You might have heard what Jin said, but you couldn’t remember. The pain in your stomach flared up again. You had never felt anything like this, like a fire raging throughout your body. You writhed on the floor, unable to scream. You clawed at the linoleum tiles, hoping to alleviate some of the pain by transferring it to the ground. Saliva dripped out of your mouth and was pressed against your cheek by the floor.
“[F/N], I wanted to tell you that I…” Jin was saying. Everything was black at that moment, and you couldn’t even feel your breathing anymore. He was sniffing and whimpering, holding back sobs. “I want… I want to marry you… so please, wake up…”
What was the last thing you guys said to each other? you wondered. You had a fight. The thought made you sick again; your first fight, and you couldn’t apologize to each other…
You felt the agony once more, and you groaned. You could actually hear your voice. The beeping of a monitor became known to your ears, and you slowly opened your eyes. The room was white, tiled, and blurry. The beeping became slightly erratic as you gained consciousness. Immediately to your right, a pretty boy was leaning on your bed. He had thick lips and soft, pretty-looking hair, and his face was swollen and wide-eyed; he’d been crying. You stared at him, confused. You tried to get your voice to work. Before the nurses came in, you finally managed to croak out the words you wanted:
“Who are you?”

Captivating - Baekhyun Fluff

well I sure am emotional after writing this. Have I mentioned how much I love exo? I REALLY love exo sO MUCH. This is well overdue argh sorry x so yeah, fluff about the king of singing, leave me some requests.
Genre: Fluff
Word count: 1060
Your boyfriend had told you nothing about the drama he was starring in, Scarlet Heart. So, before the drama started, you watched every teaser and researched as much as you could. He was a prince, the 10th prince Wang Eun. A playful boy, just like the man you knew yourself. The role was made for Baekhyun. Every time you’d beg him to tell you more, he’d keep his lips tightly pursed shut, a glimmer in his eyes.
It was the night of episode sixteen, and you knew this episode was going to be an eventful one judging from the previous installation. You and Baekhyun snuggled down on the sofa, as usual, you as eager as ever and him as smug as ever.
“You know, my acting in this episode is phenomenal.” He giggled, looking down at you with his eyebrow raised.
You rolled your eyes, turning back to the television, “You say that every time an episode begins. I’m becoming quite immune to it.”
Baekhyun pushed you up so he could look at you, “You think my acting is bad now!?” He whined.
Chuckling, you cuddled back up to him, “Of course not. You are the best actor in the world, darling.”
“Too right.” He mumbled, and you could just tell he had that cute pout on his face.
Straight away, your boyfriend was on your screen. Your eyes began to fill with tears as Wang Eun’s did in the programme. Were you really going to cry in the first minute? Imagining the satisfaction that would give him, you subtly wiped away the tears.
“Isn’t that sad? His wife has run away to save him.” Baekhyun said, nudging you lightly.
“Mm.” You hummed, not wanting him to hear you get slightly choked up.
We continued watching, your eyes completely enchanted by the man you loved on the television.
“I can’t hide behind my wife in shame like this. What can I do? I am her awesome person now. I am all she has.”
A small sob left your mouth, no tears, just a sound meaning that you was fully entranced at how charming and innocent Wang Eun was. This caused Baekhyun to crane his head around.
“Are you crying? Am I that good?” He asked, a smirk rising on his face.
“Back off, Byun. I’m not crying.” You replied, not taking your eyes off the action.
So a minute or so passed, and you managed to slightly gather your emotions together, the tears in your eyes disappearing until-
“Grand General, the 10th Prince and his wife are being attacked at the damiwon.”
“What!?” You yelled at the screen, jumping up to sit right on the edge of the sofa. You heard Baekhyun chuckling behind you, but before he could say anything you raised your hand, “Not now, Wang Eun and Soon Deok are in trouble.”
The two of you watched on, and within seconds those tears you managed to get rid of were present and well. You watched as Soon Deok fought off the soldiers, a nervous Eun behind her, and of course, Yo directing it all.
“This Prince Yo has lost it!” You said, the tears becoming obvious in your voice.
“Uh, jagi, he’s actually King at this point,” Baekhyun whispered from behind you, him also moving forwards on the sofa before wrapping his arm around your waist.
“Potato, potatoe.” You whimpered as the guards continued to close in on the couple.
And then, Soon Deok got stabbed. You screamed, practically jumping into Baekhyun’s arms as the first tear ran down your cheek.
“Be quiet. I will be the one to protect you.”
Seeing Wang Eun protecting his wife like this although he had no idea how to face this didn’t help your already erratic feelings within. Him begging his brother only caused your breathing to become more unstable.
“Jagi, are you alright?” Baekhyun asked, his arms surrounding you. You didn’t answer, nodding slightly as you focused on the drama.
And then, Soon Deok, saving her husband’s life, is forced to the ground. At this point, you couldn’t control your tears anymore.
“My wife.”
“Jagi.” You could faintly hear Baekhyun saying.
“I’m alright.” You whimpered, continuing to watch.
Eun’s pleas for his wife to come back broke your heart. The voice you had become so accustomed to, Baekhyun’s voice, was now a voice which was full of sadness, a voice you never wanted to hear, because it simply tore your heart to shreds.
After a few minutes, the scene which had touched you more than any scene you’d ever seen was over. Wang Eun and Soon Deok were dead. And your face was well and truly drenched. Even after the scene was over, you turned around, put your head against Baekhyun’s chest, and just cried.
“It’s okay, baby.” He soothed you, stroking your hair.
You pushed back, looking at Baekhyun. His hands came up, wiping away your tears.
“Wow, my acting could really make you cry this much?”
You chuckled, pulling your shirt sleeve up to wipe your face, “Who’d have thought it, huh?”
“This is the most important reaction to me. Your reaction. Forget ratings and things like that. This shows me that all them hours I put in were worth it.” He said, his eyes not leaving you. “Although, I am sorry for making you cry.”
“I’m so proud of you, Baekhyun. There’s nothing you can’t do, is there? Your talent knows no bounds.” You said, looking up at him, smiles rising on both your faces.
Leaning forward, you pulled him into a hug, placing a kiss on his cheek. In your ear, you heard a soft whimper, and pushing back, you saw Baekhyun crying too.
“Why are you crying?” You laughed, tears still leaving your eyes slightly, mainly because you were overwhelmed completely by your love for your boyfriend.
“Your words. They mean so much to me. You’re the reason I’ve truly got this far, you cheering me on for all these years, putting up with me when I was so far away or in a bad mood because of training. You’ve been there all along.” Baekhyun said, his hands entwining with yours, “And I’ll always try to improve to make you prouder and to become more perfect.”
“Baekhyun,” you began, and hand coming up to caress his cheek, “You couldn’t become any more perfect.”
Emotionless (Doctor!Seokjin x Patient!OC) Final
This one is a long one, I think the longest chapter of them all… But it’s also over a year late, and I’m so sorry it took me so long to finish this. I’m not going to ramble too much, so I hope you enjoy the final part to Emotionless!

(I love this gif so much like—-)
The rest of the day went perfectly as planned, except for Seokjin who found himself really lonely without Nayoung being present at the office. His day seemed a lot longer than usual as he was waiting for the clock to hit 10:00 so that he could dart out of the office and head home to check on everyone.
Hyemi felt herself sighing from her seat at the front desk as her eyes traveled to the room Nayoung had been occupying for a little more than a year. She had been watching Jungkook, Jimin, Hoseok, and Namjoon carry some boxes out of her room earlier, and her mind was trying to process that she was leaving.
She wasn’t surprised in the slightest that she was leaving; she was actually really grateful. Seokjin would quit slacking, and she would quit making mistakes because of jealousy issues. She didn’t even bother clarifying it with Seokjin, but the incident last week was actually a complete accident. Well, it was more or less.
Hyemi took a deep breath as she was walking down the hall, heading into the room next to Nayoung’s. On her way there, she peaked in the door, noticing that she was asleep with an empty food tray next to her. She sighed and went ahead and entered the room to pick up the try and check her medicine. It was running low, so she just decided to take it to the back and save one of the other nurses the trouble of changing it.
She exited the room and hurried to check on the patient she was originally going to, and soon after that, she left the room to head to the back. She was looking for medicine for Nayoung and the other patient as she grabbed them both and ran them into their respective rooms.
It wasn’t until the next day when she realized she had switched the medications and what she had done to Nayoung’s health. She was nearly fired for the incident when she fessed up to it being her, but she just got off with a warning. One more slip up and she was gone.
She wanted to be mad at Nayoung for the incident- she wanted to tell Seokjin what really happened. She knows that Nayoung found out it was her who last had her medicine, and if Seokjin hadn’t figured it out from her, Hyemi would be shocked. At this point, her relationship with Seokjin was over, and nothing could change that. Not even a miracle would make him forgive her.
While the thoughts were upsetting, she easily got over it. Things were about to get better because Nayoung is gone and Hyemi was moving into another department away from Seokjin tomorrow.
Despite all that happened, she glanced over at Seokjin who was staring at the clock. He looked like he was trying to move the hands with his mind, which made Hyemi roll her eyes. A small smile was on her face as she looked down at her hands.
“Maybe I could have someone like him one day.”
