People always talk about “what if Starflight got powers” or “What fi Starflight and Sunny got powers” and I propose to you the funniest option of what if only Sunny got powers and Starflight was conveniently out of the moonlight and still didn’t get any

For the record nobody is saying you're not allowed to dislike characters if they're traumatized but we are saying you should at least have an understanding of why that character acts the way they do before you decide to spew bullshit about them. Hate Winter all you want but calling him a toxic asshole who deserved to be ostracized from his friend group is fundamentally misunderstanding who is, why he acts that way, and most importantly completely ignores the fact that he's been trying to better himself since like, book 10 at the very latest. Saying shit like "Why should I like Peril?? She's a psychotic bitch!!" is. fucking horrible for a number of reasons but one of those reasons is that she isn't just like that for funzies. All she knows is killing people will make her basically mother proud of her and nobody will ever love besides Scarlet so why bother. Also ignores that she's also been bettering herself. Also also some of you guys are just extremely ableist about Peril but that's a topic someone else can probably explain better than me.

Point is you can stop complaining about how nobody's allowed to not like traumatized characters because that was never the point. The point is that you guys need to stop pretending that character's actions aren't a result of their trauma and that they act like that because they just like being horrible
