“To us, my dear.” Moira raised her glass toward you, offering a toast. 

“It’s hard to believe it’s already been six months, Moira. I really never imagined that I’d find someone as amazing as you.” You blush and sip your soda, a small hiccup rising up after the fizzy drink. 

Moira reached to brush a strand of hair away from your face. “I can believe it. There’s nobody quite like you, I’m sure you’ve attracted lots of attention over the years. I was just lucky enough to catch you for myself.” 

She grabbed your necklace chain and gently pulled you toward her to meet your lips, the faint burn of alcohol gracing your tongue as a sweet reminder of your first encounter. “I’ve got you. I love you. And I’m never letting go.” "
