Lil peep dying has completely broken me more than I could’ve imagined
literally anyone: i hate bakugou so much, he's such an abusive asshole and he does nothing but bully others. he's basically a villain pretending to be a hero smh
what i want to say: you are boiling things down to "good or evil" and classifying him as the latter when in reality he, like all people, is a complex character with a variety of emotions. while i agree that his bullying and past abuse is inexcusable, it does not mean that he has no potential for growth or development in the right path. he's already slowly changing; kirishima has managed to befriend him and bakugou is slightly more willing to help and protect his friends. he is also incredibly smart and perceptive; out of the 20 students in class 1-A, his grades are in the top 3. once he learns his classmates' quirks, he understands their functions and knows who is doing what if they are attacking (training of the dead ova), and he is able to piece together the truth after having observed deku and all might for so long. additionally, he is not the only one to blame for his actions as society and the adults around him consistently enabled him by either staying silent or actively participating in his bullying. there is also bakugou's mental health, which has been frequently referenced in both the manga and anime. his severe superiority/inferiority complex is due to the fact that he was constantly lauded by others to the point where he constantly compares himself to midoriya to make sure that he is just as good as everyone says he is/as he believes he is; how he feels he absolutely must win against anyone and everyone fair and square no matter what (as shown in the sports festival arc after he is unfairly declared the victor against todoroki); and by how as a child he was inspired by all might's strength and constant victories. this, tied with his absolute perfectionism, contributes to how overwhelmed he feels all the time and how distorted this has made his perception, especially of midoriya and midoriya's thoughts on their friendship. bakugou also shows anxiety due to finally seeing that there are others just as strong as him if not stronger and that he is more or less average when compared to all the other talented heroes-to-be at UA. this also contributes to his panic attacks (esp when he lost to midoriya for the first time); he hyperventilates, his vision goes blurry, and his voice grows more high pitched, etc. he has even been muzzled and chained on display at a nationwide tv broadcasted event, which, considering how he is a fifteen year old child, is severely damaging to self-esteem. it's also what lead villains to him; they thought of him as a misunderstood evil person like them when he truly wants to be a hero and is still working through his tumultuous emotions and learning to try and save people more than just win. he also shows a severe guilt complex after this, as shown when he awkwardly tries to cheer the class up and how during deku vs kacchan 2 he cries and yells about how all of the events that led to all might's demise were his fault and that he can't take the pain of knowing what he caused. his whole life he has been suppressed his emotional pain and problems and even though he is hiding it with explosive outbursts and overreacting behavior towards others, it is destroying himself inside. but because he's bakugou and people assume that's how he always is and that he's just a guy with an "evil" personality, he has never gotten the help he truly needs.
what i actually say: read the manga
ONE OF US IS LYING WOULD BE A FANTASTIC NETFLIX SERIES
min yoongi.
Honestly, Lil Peeps deaths got me really fucked up
