If Wings of Fire gets an arc 4, I want one of the pov characters to be Anemone. She just has so much potential to be an interesting point of view character! She got a lot of time to shine in The Lost Heir and in Talons of Power, but I feel like there’s more to tell about her. So much terrible stuff has happened to her.

She was raised by an overprotective mother who attached her to a harness so she could never be alone and so Coral would always have an eye on her. Queen Coral planned to use her daughter’s animus magic as a weapon to help win the war, despite the legend of Albatross and the royal SeaWing massacre. Her aquatic teacher was planning to marry her in a plan to get the throne for himself. Adding on to this, it must’ve been traumatic for her to inadvertently cause his death. When she accidentally caused Whirlpool to die, she began to think that she was destined for evil and that she was already terrible. She begins to trust Darkstalker because she wants to learn how to use her power. But Darkstalker turns out to be evil and leads Anemone down the wrong path. She hates Moon because she’s jealous of how Darkstalker treats her so much better. She has recurring nightmares about Whirlpool’s death and believes that she can do whatever she wants because she’s an animus and she’s already too far gone. She tries to kill her mom! Anemone is just a little kid! I wonder how all this trauma will effect her as she grows up. In my mind, arc 4 should take place a few years after arc 3, leaving time for dragons to grow up.
