Mawile Facts
-The scientific name for Mawile is "Femiciosus mediocrus" which roughly translates to "Deceptive fairy woman"
-Mawile is distantly related to the Tinkaton line. Both pokemon are fairy/steel types, both are quite small, and both are humanoid. The difference is that while Tinkaton are more aggressive, Mawile are more defensive and prefer to lure in their prey with their cute appearance rather than charge at them immediately
-Mawile eat small steel types, small rock types, and minerals
-Mawile can be found living in deep caves rich with salt and other minerals
-Mawile's 'jaw' are actually modified steel horns made to resemble a mouth and are not attached to their digestive system whatsoever, despite common belief
-Mawile's jaws also help them crunch tough-to-chew prey into a mush that they can eat, since despite what media shows you, their teeth are actually quite soft
-Mawile will often give warnings before they attack. The warning will include them facing backwards with their jaw open, but not moving. If you see this and don't have a battling pokemon with you, just turn the other direction and walk way
-Many beartraps on Hoenn are made to resemble Mawile
-When they're born, young Mawile don't fully know how to control their jaws. This isn't an issue, since their teeth aren't fully grown in yet, but it can be annoying for them
-The extensions on its head are actually ears that are covered in hair
-While aggressive in the wild, Mawile are actually quite docile when trained and can even be a bit shy
-Mawile are very territorial and don't like humans or other pokemon in their territory
-Despite living in dark caves, Mawile's night vision isn't that great. To make up for it, they have excellent hearing
-Mawile are solitary and don't like to be around other pokemon much. This can reflect with their trainers, with Mawile often being very independent and not liking too much physical affection
