Jedi!Maul eye color

I'm a really big fan of Jedi!Maul idea (if anybody interest in this topic I recommend to check out @genifer-championofpaldea's writings and @scuttlebuttin's arts). I always wondering how would he look without his iconic sith eyes. So tried out things.

Ok, change the eye color. But what color?

Blue of course!

But what shade?

Well Savage had a really interesting eye color, before his transformation. So I took his eye color as a reference:

(yes I know this picture is too bright, but I really like this color, so I stayed with that).

Now I have the reference so we can jump on the fun things!

Okay I love it! Jedi!Maul would be amazing with blue eyes.

But what if I take Feral as reference? He is also Maul's brother, why don't we try it?

Not a wow feeling, but he looks softer with this color.

Why I made the reference too bright/light?

Well it is a little bit bittersweet.

Feral's reference if I stay with the original which is that:

And if we compare this picture with Maul:

Yep that's the problem. They (almost) have the same eye color.

And it's bittersweet (maybe just for me) to see how similar they are.

Well I would stay with the blue color but it was fun too try out other ideas.

Have you ever noticed? Part 2.

What we see here? In the Selection one zabrak from the four die, which is part of the trials. Savage kneels down to check the other nightbrother, and with this act he broke the defensive formation. It wasn't a necessary act, the others just looked at the dead nightbrother and focused back to the fight.

He did it immediately and I think that was an instinctive act from him. He was caring and protective for Feral, but not just for him. This act shows us the other nightbrothers were important for him too, and he cared what happen to them.

Also maul: lets feral use him as a mattress.

I just suddenly had this mental image of feral napping on mauls metal legs. The symbolism is making me crazy. Its a terrible place to sleep, its cold and unyielding, yet feral persists. Maul cant feel him through the prosthetics, get he finds it comforting.

That look what he gave to the other zabrak. It isn't pity or anger, just sad acceptance. I think he had seen this kind of cruelty so many times in his life, and he learned that's their life. They are just servants of the Nightsisters. It's their fate, and he has accepted it.

But it still stings him when he sees how the Nightsisters treats them.

@loveoaths Well my opinion Savage acts more like a big brother than Feral, but maybe just because I have and older brother and he typically acts like that. I think generally the older siblings are more worried or more careful because they have more experience in life.Maybe that's why Savage warns Feral in the beginning because he knows what will happen with the brothers who stands out. And other thing which I think makes Feral younger or Savage older, when Savage asked Ventriss to let Feral go, for me it is similar when an older sibling takes the blame for something the younger did.

But as you writed: openness can be mixed with youth/naïveté which is considered as childish behavior.

do ppl know canon feral is ~20-30 years old or is it just me
