if you see a writing advice post that you don't like or agree with, YOU DO NOT HAVE TO FOLLOW IT. YOU DO NOT HAVE TO FOLLOW ALL OF THE WRITING RULES AND ADVICE AND STUFF.
same goes for if you see a post that says like, not to use a trope or smth that you have in your book. they are just giving advice. only you know what fits your book.
i'm aware that this may seem super obvious and unnecessary to make a post about, but as an author with OCD i personally get a lot of anxiety reading writing advice, since i end up feeling like if i don't follow it then whatever i'm writing must be crap. so i just wanted to make this post to help out a fellow OCD author.
