TYSM I Think Where I Fall Behind Isnt Actually A Lack Of Motivation But Just The Fact That I Take YEARS

TYSM I think where I fall behind isnt actually a lack of motivation but just the fact that I take YEARS to finish a piece because I'm so damn precise about every little nook and cranny of my art- and also I don't think I've ever set a deadline on a piece besides when it's birthday art for characters lol

it's so funny that we differ in the fact you hate lineart but I LOVE IT LMAO esp since most the time my sketch ends up just being my lineart

that last part is so true aswell šŸ˜šŸ™ I can and WILL make everything about Soukoku when possible. Ah, the perks of being an artist.

tysm for actually taking time to answer and provide examples of your works, it help a ton! <3

literally HOW do you have sm motivation to consistently post fully colored pieces??? teach me!!

Okay this is really funny because if you held a gun to my head right now and told me to draw I would be dead due to executive dysfunction but uh, to answer your question I shall be vaguely circling around the point to hide the fact that I do not know the answer.

Coloring is my favourite part, I physically struggle to get myself to do lineart, so once I already got past that hell, coloring is a little treat :] (I have one friend that says lineart is his favourite part, I need him burned at the stake smh witch)

I used to post daily. That. That was a time. I don't know why I did that to myself.

Anyway, it's a combination of putting a deadline on myself and "well I already got this far..." Thankfully my rendering style doesn't require all that much time, actually :]

For example the timelapse below took me 2 hours (it was one of those OC pause challenges I did for fun) and I just enjoyed the whole rendering much more, but still 2 hours is pretty reasonable I'd say.

My sketch to lineart transition isn't even too substantial most of the time and so it feels like a waste. I start purposefully leaving out details so I'll have at least something to add, but even then... it's pretty eh? okay?

But coloring? Bro give me lineart and I'll render it for you I absolutely adore rendering it's the best part, muah. It's a little treat after lineart hell

So, to answer your question, I have a schedule and force myself to stick to it, and thankfully I like rendering enough to push through lineart. It makes SUCH a difference and gah. My beloved.

Also I'm just majorly autistic about suegiku and whenever anything exists I point at it, exclaim "suegiku" and refuse to elaborate- sometimes that spawns a drawing, lol.

I hope that somewhat answered it, but if there's something more specific you'd like elaborated, please do tell :]

I SWEAR IM NOT IN ANY DANGER I just like doing the lineart because it's when I can get my visions for a drawing down exactly how I imagined them. Or maybe its the fact it feels like I've ruined smth when I colour it. ( <- most the time, 1/100 pieces i actually DO like how I've coloured them šŸ˜‹)

Also ayo? 😳😳 did someone say collab?? 🫢🫢

Chuuya's reaction to Dazai getting hurt during the Lovecraft fight has always been so interesting to me...

Chuuya's Reaction To Dazai Getting Hurt During The Lovecraft Fight Has Always Been So Interesting To

Because it's the kind of worry you'd never expect a character as gruff as Chuuya, who had displayed nothing but hostility towards Dazai so far. Usually, characters that are labelled as "angry" or "anger issues" (which Chuuya is much more complex than that but you get my point) act more as a tsundere type of way when the one they "don't care about" gets hurt. And show their care in very, very subtle ways (ex. their eyes widen, their mouth parts and closes again, etc) before putting up their front once more.

Chuuya, however, is open, and vocal about it. His worry is clear not only to us, but to Dazai himself, the one he shouldn't be displaying the concern to (as the cliche suggests). Shouldn't it be some sort of secret that Chuuya does care? Isn't that what skk's dynamic has been shaping up to be until now?

I'm telling you- the way my mind blanked when Chuuya just casually.... showed concern not once, but twice, was a sight to see.

Besides, the context makes it much more confusing, because Dazai isn't some rookie, and Chuuya knows that more than anybody. He was the youngest executive in Port Mafia's history, of course he can handle a hit or two. Of course he'd seen him handle a hit or two, sometimes without batting an eye.

Heck, Chuuya himself was hurling Dazai like a ragdoll in their reunion, which was their last meeting. And you could argue that he was going easy on him, but Dazai has mostly withstood the same damage (as far as I could see), and Chuuya was as bitter as ever.

So that kind of contradicts both what we knew of Chuuya so far, and how their dynamic was shaped to be. I mean, that just makes Chuuya a hypocrite, yeah? What makes him care now, all of a sudden? What makes him care at all?

Well, to me, this backasswards reaction implies one (or more) of the following:

- Dazai rarely got physically hurt during their partnership and thus this is an unexpected thing for him to see (during a mission).

- The four years of separation made Chuuya unsure of how hard Dazai can withstand injuries now. Also the fact that he isn't in the mafia anymore, aka fighting enemy organizations on the weekly, would naturally make Dazai lose his touch in a way, what prompts Chuuya's reaction.

- Dazai getting taken off guard took him off guard which led to panic. Especially since the situation was (momentarily) out of their depth. Seriously wtf even was Lovecraft?

- During the dungeon scene Dazai was an enemy, while in the Lovecraft fight he was as an ally. The difference might be significant to Chuuya.

- This has always been Chuuya's reaction to Dazai getting hurt regardless of the situation.

- "Only I can hurt him like that" ahh logic

- Asagiri was still experimenting with their dynamic and thus there are some inconsistencies.

This scenario didn't play out again (after their reunion) for me to exactly determine which one is more plausible, but it is 100% canon for Chuuya to shamelessly show his concern and run to Dazai to check on him before properly dealing with their opponent, which I find to be such an appealing layer to their dynamic, and a good spin on the type of character he gets stereotyped as.

Bonus: Dazai also becomes a softy when Chuuya's hurt, especially post corruption. Dead Apple alone displays that multiple times.

All in all, Skk are doing a terrible job at maintaining their 'hostile' and 'antagonistic' relationship post their reunion. Freaks.

WHATS LI’S ABILITY?? Is Li part of any organization?? :3

YIPPEE OKOK so her ability is called 'To the Tune of Rinsing Silk Stream' and basically

It allows userĀ to gain the qualities (useful or not) of any animal of theirĀ choosing, although only one of these differing species can be chosen at a time, but can be used interchangeably in combat (meaning, the user can obtain animinalisticĀ abilities in rapid succession without using up much stamina.) BUT it requires the user to have extensive knowledge on the species they wish to replicate (so, Li spends a lot of her free time looking into animals she feels would be useful in combat :3)

Technicallyyyy she's a part of the Port Mafia but only temporarily as she originates from an organization from China :D She often works alongside the Black Lizard members. (mostly because of book "The Black Lizard" by Edogawa Ranpo has a character at the start of it that reminds me of Li (I read very little of it so idk how she gets after the first like 10 pages lol))

TY FOR ASKING JET 🄹
