This was such a cool idea that I had to draw it! I imagine they have bugs and maggots crawling in and out of holes and scars and have parts of their bones poking out.

personal dark forest hc:

the longer a cat has been in the dark forest, the more decayed they look.

initially, they start off with the condition their body was in when they died and slowly over time it just rots-

imagine like ancient cat skeletons with fungi growing on them like how fucking terrifying would that shit bE
