as we lie in bed,

surrounded by waves

of cotton, sea foam

dripping from our mouths,

chins, and fingers,

electric currents sweeping us away

to the pillow beaches.

Morning sun rays

tan our skin as we lie,

in bed,

and whisper ‘I love you.’”
